We moved to Carson back in the 70’s. The first place we are Pizza in Carson was at Dominicks Pizza’s and we never stop going their. The people that work their treat like family. The Pizza’s is the best pizza buy far. Try the pizza the next day cold it delicious. We try one in other pizza place in Carson it wasn’t the same. Our friends and family love going their.

Meh. Got a large pizza today and it was so soggy at the bottom and the chicken was plain. So sad because I love the pizza I had here 2 years ago.

Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Usually I don’t miss Survivor but made an exception. We got a booth in the corner in this dimly lit restaurant. We started off with the antipasto salad which had a lot of meat and the dressing was very flavorful. We also had the freshly made garlic toast and penne pasta with marinara sauce. Super yummy. The main reason for me to come here was for the Pepperoni pizza. The sauce is superb, fresh mozzarella that is so stringy that you need a knife to cut through it. The best part about this pizza is the crust, crispy outer shell with a chewy inside. So good. The service is really good. They bring refills and clear of the tables in a timely manner. They even brought out a slice of Spumoni ice cream cake for her birthday. Very sweet treat. My friend would say the steak(with sautéed mushrooms) is the best meal option here, but I would have to disagree and say the pizza is.

This place has been around for over 50 years, and it’s still bringing in many customers. This was my boyfriend’s favorite restaurant as a kid, and he still raves about their food now. I tried their spaghetti with meat sauce. My boyfriend and his dad ordered two of their sandwiches. Pasta comes with a soup or salad and garlic bread. Some of their sandwiches come with a side as well. Overall, it was okay. The amount you get per order is enough to feed you for two meals!(Or at least one and a half haha) After they brought us our food, they forgot about us. There was no refill of water or extra napkins and we weren’t asked about another glass of wine. They seemed to forget about us after they brought us the check because we sat there for a long time before we decided to walk up and pay at the to-go area. There’s nothing extraordinary about the food, it’s just good food to have if you’re in the area. It seems to be filled with regulars. **Side note: my salad came with so much dressing, it was really hard to eat without feeling like I was just drinking dressing.

What happened??? This use to be a great pizza parlor, but now days, ITREEKS!!! Pizza looked like cheap movie theater or theme park pizza. They must have changed to a cheaper brand of cheese because it was tasteless and looked like cardboard. Additionally, it was very greasy. The customer service can be rude at times. Hey Dominick! If you read this, please tell your employees to be nicer. As you can see by your ratings, a few Unilocalers are noticing the rude attitudes. This is Carson, not New York!!! Drop the sass and change the cheese! 2 stars and that is only because the sandwiches are good. Will not be returning.

I eat at the Dominicks on Western Avenue in San Pedro several times a week I have been going there for over 20 years. This is the first time I’ve eaten in Carson. And this will be the last time. The one thing I like about domenocks is that they treat you like family. this Dominick’s does not. The ambiance is nice the food is the same. my waitress is very rude I was told her name is Barbara if you want good food and friendly service come to the Dominicks on Western but stay away from this one in carson

I’ve been going here since I was a kid with my family, when it came to those pizza nights with them, oh we were all excited for Domenick’s. Half the time we ordered multiple pizzas, and there were absolutely zero complaints. We cleaned our plates, crust and all unlike other pizza joints. This place has never screwed up any of my orders, and over the years all the other places have made mistakes. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself with that, but yeah, this place is solid and has some good spaghetti as well. Everyone I’ve brought to this place loved it, it’s just tough because I don’t live in the area.

I’ve been eating at this, The Original Domenick’s, since I was a kid. This was around long before Red Vest/Red West became the spot to hit after little league games. They used to have a cool wall-mounted juke box above a huge freezer where they stored all kinds of treats. The house Italian dressing is like none other I’ve ever tasted. It’s both garlicky and peppery with the perfect red wine vinegar tartness. A must try. Their garlic bread has a unique cheesy crust with a slightly orange color to it. I think it might be paprika sprinkled on top? Might sound odd to the uninitiated but it’s awesome. Absolutely everything on the menu is delicious, you can’t go wrong. The pizza is outstanding. The Italian sub and meatball sandwiches are amazing. The only sandwiches comparable are the crumbled meatball from Giuliano’s in Gardena.

I have had pizza from here when we catered it from work for 10 years, but have never actually ordered here myself until this year. Man, is this place amazing! Small mom and pop place(run by mamma) with big portions and even bigger flavor. Its the only local Italian eatery I know of in the area that is not a corporate chain. They have unusual methods like packing their salad to go in a Chinese food container that actually fits twice the salad and seems to keep it fresher(I can never eat the full portion so I save the salad for the next day). They have a delicious Tuna pizza which I had never heard of and ordered one on a dare. Its my favorite now… I don’t understand the negative reviews. Maybe those people need a sense of humor, but if you are looking for good down to earth home made Italian food this is the place for you. If you are just looking for a Hollywood show and flavor is not so important, may I suggest a national chain?

I just called for the first time to order a pizza for delivery(I didn’t know they didn’t deliver) so when I asked if I could order a pizza for delivery, the woman who answered said, «we don’t deliver, if you want delivery call Domino’s» and HUNGUPONME. I could not believe it! I would’ve been more than happy to drive the 7 minutes to pick it up had I been given the option. When I called back to ask(I honestly thought it was a mistake) the same woman answered, said she was the owner, and told me she tells everyone that. I WILLNEVERORDEROREATATTHISPLACE. It is Christmas Eve, at 5pm, and I CANNOT believe this establishment would treat patrons(or people for that manner) so unbelievably rude and disrespectfully. I am more than a little bummed because the pictures looked bomb. Sad face.

The food can be hit and miss. Its usually pretty damn good but the last few time ive gone, its been underwhelming. It doesnt help the situation when the older waitress, barbara I think is her name, is serving you. She can be and usually is really rude unless you been going to eat there since 1955. The last time we went, my daughter ordered chicken alfredo and the alfredo sauce tasted like country gravy. The crust on the pizza is sometimes undercooked, especially if you order more than 2 toppings.

Domenick’s Pizza House has been located right next to the railroad tracks in Carson since 1955. Whether it is on the good side of the tracks or the bad side of the tracks on Avalon Boulevard has changed more than once in the 45 years that my family has been patronizing the family-owned pizzeria. I won’t ever forget a childhood spent drinking root beer out of their red plastic cups while playing«Billy Don’t be a Hero» on the jukebox. In the early days, the rotund and effusive Domenick would greet each table with warmness and enthusiasm. The original Domenick is long gone now, as are the first two sons. The third son, Domenick Jr., is now running the place himself. The smiles and hugs are still there, but no one forgets Domenick Sr., whose jolly likeness dominates the wall. Over all of these years, Domenick’s has retained its old school pizza house vibe, the same recipes, and the same menu, with cringe-worthy sandwich titles like«the Mussolini» and«The Dago Burger». The sandwiches at Domenick’s are stunning, especially the Italian sub, made with mortadella, provolone and salami. The crust of the warmed bread crackles with each bite until it gives way to the soft, supple interior and fatty fillings. The meatball sandwich is enough for two people, with giant meatballs and a tangy red sauce causing you to take bites that are too big to be good for you. The burgers are served as a hoagie-shaped patty on the same Italian bread. If you are tired of nouvelle regional Italian restaurants and pine for the old-fashioned red-sauce joints, Domenick’s is your place. You can still order a variety of mix and match old-fashioned pastas that will make you nostalgic for the old days. The ravioli are perfectly cooked, and spaghetti with red sauce is offered as a side dish. Domenick’s pizza toppings are spot-on, with thickly sliced pepperoni cooked until it is crispy. Over the years, though, we have noticed the crust is unpredictable. Sometimes it’s a little too doughy and soft. That’s really the only complaint, not bad for 45 years.
