Econo Lodge Carson near StubHub Center

The room/​amenities were what you would expect for the price. Adequate for a short trip. The big problem was the inability of the staff to correct their billing error. Our room was pre-​paid through our airline’s website. The front desk was notified of this on check-​in, and yet they charged our credit card for the entire stay when we left! When we saw the double charge on our credit card statement and called the hotel, we were told to work it out with our airline’s booking service (which is incorrect, because we paid the airline service first), and more than one staff member was rude as we attempted to get the issue resolved. We finally had to contest the charge with our credit card company as the hotel staff was unwilling or unable to understand how the process should work. Save yourself a major headache and just go somewhere else.

This place is disgusting. I’d give it minus 5 if they had that rating. Run by slum lords. I was alone for one night, my parents made the reservation for me, as we were attending a funeral early the next day in Lomita and they didn’t have room for me where they were staying. Super scary place for a single woman, thanks mom! Barely slept at all fearing someone would enter the room. This place is a motel, so no inside corridor. Doors exit to the parking lot and highway 1. The granite shower, which sounds nice enough, had black moldy and mildewy grout that I could rub off onto their white towels – ewww! Definitely not cleaned – I don’t think they have regular cleaning staff – I think the female owner «cleans» the rooms. I found a pubic hair or two under the sheets (gross!) and the fridge sounded like a motorcycle. To top it off, outside the window of the bathroom was a flood light that stayed on all night, and the window had no shades, so the bathroom was lit up like the Vegas strip. Run. don’t walk, away fast!

Absolutely horrible!
Visible stains all over chairs, curtains, bedsheets and dresser.
Shoddy locks in doors & windows easily opened from the outside despite being «locked».
Couldn’t sleep AT ALL because of the riff raff in 4 rooms that partied all night.
Next door had to have been the center point for business transactions: every 15 minutes was a knock on their door & their door opening that was loud & squeaky. Music thumping all night!!!
Could smell the marijuana even though our window was closed!

I liked this place. Clean, quiet and friendly staff. Good price for a nice place to sleep. 4 stars from me!

We stayed here overnight December 21 to 22. We were in town to watch a football game at the Stub Hub arena.
The Good: The front desk person was friendly and efficient. She checked us in within 10 minutes. The room, on the ground floor, was clean and smelled nice. It was spacious for two people with two queen beds. The bed and the pillows were firm, the way I like them. I was surprised it was quiet because all the parking spots were taken which meant to me the hotel was full. The tv is big and good quality. There was a coffee maker and fridge but I didn’t use either so I can’t comment.
The Not so Good: Even though you couldn’t hear the people in the room next door or above, the plumbing is very loud when you take a shower or flush the toilet. The breakfast was slim pickings and the building itself is showing its age but the plants made it look nice.
General observation: There was no clock but I used my cell phone for time and alarm. Neither were there a hair dryer nor iron and ironing board. This was not a problem for me. All I needed was a safe, nice place to sleep.
I would stay at this hotel again next time I’m in the area. It’s good value for the price.

The look from the outside says this would be a place you bring a hooker to. The inside smelled, stains on the bed and the white towels were no longer white.
No iron, the lights barely worked, the fridge wasn’t even cold and the décor was from the 70s. I immediately left and never came back. We ended up staying somewhere else that was way cleaner and better and had an ocean view and I had no fear it what was in bed with me.
If you have a family DO NOT come here, if you are single, on a business trip or just need to crash for the night sure take your chance here. I should have read the reviews from the hotel booking sites first before showing up and paying for the room.
You get one star for being a one star MOTEL.

The room was clean, the family that ran the hotel was very nice. I wasn’t planning on staying in the room except to sleep, all the frou frou stuff wasn’t needed. I need a room and a bed, I was there for the soccer game not to spend time in the room. It fit my needs. I will stay here again.

This econo lodge has to really be the worst ever, when I checked in the room was filthy, there was no alarm clock or extra blankets or pillows, there was a notice in the room that alarm clocks can be rented for $ 25.00 and extra pillows for $ 25.00 and blankets for $ 25.00, I called the front desk and complained there was no alarm clock and they told me because of theft that there are no amenities in the rooms but I could rent the alarm clock and anything else I wanted, for $ 129.00 per night this is not acceptable.
The TV was bolted to the wall, 2 of the light bulbs in the room were burnt out, the bathtub /​shower was so filthy I went to the local YMCA to take a shower, I asked the front desk to give to give me a wake up call since there was no alarm clock, that never happened, a work colleague staying in a different hotel called my cell phone to wake me.
TV was bolted to the wall, remote on a wire, this is the worst hotel ever, if they had — stars I would rate it –10, it’s horrible.
They offer free wi-​fi but there is no wi-​fi nor wired connection at the hotel, they told me to go to Mc Donalds down the street if I want to connect my computer.
