Founded as Smith & Associates in 1982, the company is based in Cary, N.C. In addition to its consulting and professional services S&A publishes national & regional magazines as well as customized client publications. The company has approximately 40 employees. Business Owner
Norman is Owner/Principal of S&A Cherokee. Norman has served or is serving on a number of boards including RPRS, NCPRSA and is immediate past chair of the SE District of PRSA. Norman received the 2008 N.C. State University Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award. In 2009 he was selected as one of the Business Journals 40 Under 40, was named Rotarian of the Year and earned his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) which has only been earned by approximately 5,000 practitioners world wide. Norman earned his B.A. in communication with a concentration in Public Relations from North Carolina State University. He serves on the Wake Technical Community College Advisory Board. He serves on the Wake Technical Community College Advisory Board. He also served as the chair of the 2011 Raleigh Chamber Business Expo and chaired the 2011-12 Emerging Leaders program and is on the Leadership Raleigh Alumni board of directors.
