Established in 2011.

Energy Core, LLC is Eastern Iowa’s resource for professional home performance testing and insulation. Energy Core provides expert guidance and services to home owners who want to reduce their bills and have an energy efficient home.

We are an Iowa licensed contractor and belong to the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) as a certified auditor for Home Energy Rating System (HERS). HERS’s rating services offers independent third party verification system. A HERS rater can show you where to spend your money for the quickest payback.

Mr. Borel graduated from University of Northern Iowa May 2010

Mr. Borel has worked at Cedar Falls Utilities, where he has performed nearly 750 home audits and performance testing. Before working at Cedar Falls Utilities, Mr. Borel has spent many years working construction for contractors and independently. After working at cedar falls utilities Mr. Borel started a Energy Core, LLC to bring his experience and knowledge to a wider range of customers. Mr. Borel went through intense training to become a certified energy auditor (HERS) in the Spring of 2011.

Mr. Borel is also an Iowa Licensed Realtor serving Eastern Iowa
