I agree with Dan L. 100%!!! I had the most HORRIBLE experience of my life dealing with these unprofessional and unethical money hungry scammers. They don’t care about their tenants nor the properties they «manage». If you are thinking about hiring them to manage your property for you or thinking about renting a property under their management please be advised… Don’t just walk. RUN!!! You have been warned! I have several people (witnesses if you will) that can back me up on this. They did not keep there word about anything they had promised with ALL the unfinished repairs that still needed be done. The property was not even close to being finished when I moved in. Believe me when I say that these people are nothing but CROOKS just after your money. There is no shame in their game. I really don’t see how these people can sleep at night and be okay with the fact that they totally screw people over on a daily basis. And I only know this from personal experience. I mean how do they still even have their license and are still in business? Oh, yeah, that’s right… Because they CON-​ARTISTS. That’s about the only thing they are good at.

Really terrible. Very slow to respond to any maintenance request and they were hostile towards us when we inquired about the maintenance plans they had. The only reason we were asking is because they specifically told us it was a new property and they planned on making updates. At one point they told us we could move out because we were clearly unhappy and when we told them we would, they recanted and said we would have to pay the fee if left before our lease was done. They also managed to keep part of our damage deposit despite the fact that we complied with the lease terms. When we asked about getting the money back they ignored us and would not provide any proof of the cleaning they apparently needed to pay for. We left the place spotless so it was just a way to take our money. We also caught them in multiple lies about why our damage deposit hadn’t been sent to us and only after calling them out on the many falsehoods they were feeding us did we get some of our money back. They are not good people and even worse property managers. STAY AWAY!!!

I live at the 34th St apartments. I was introduced to the apartment through another management, so I can’t comment on the pre-​leasing experience through Austin Park Avenue Property Management. However, Janet has many years of experience with property management/​real estate and she’s more understanding and reasonable with fees/​charges than other landlords I’ve have in the past.
The apartment was clean and well maintained when my brother and I moved in. They handled maintenance issues promptly. When we lost our mailbox key, they sent us a replacement very quickly! They are very helpful, too. We are trying to move out early this summer and have someone else take over our lease. Janet will let us know if someone is interested in leasing our place for the summer and she has informed us about what is and isn’t reasonable for them to deduct from our deposit before moving out. Overall, this management is honest and has been very helpful with our needs! :)
