MedSpring Urgent Care

I went there Sunday Jan 24 about 6 pm with the worst migraine. I was miserable, couldn’t open my eyes, in terrible pain and nauseated. Check in was quick, I was in a room within 3 minutes. Triage nurse came in within 5 mins and was able to get permission to give me a shot for naseau. Doc saw me within 10 mins and checked me out a little and ordered a shot for pain and gave me good follow up suggestions. Everyone was very nice, professional and sympathetic and I was treated well and quickly. I know wait time is luck at urgent care, but I got what I needed very quickly there. I would go back.

I went in for a sinus infection, I knew what is was because I tend to get them at the same time each year. The service was super fast and friendly. Everything was clean, no wait, and they provide drinks and snacks in the waiting area. Each room has a TV with a remote so you’re not totally bored if you do have to wait. They also provided me with some information about sinusitis… in case I didn’t already know but unfortunately I do. Would definitely go back and recommend. You can also make an appointment over the phone if you don’t want to risk a wait.

This is the best urgent care in town. I went last night with chest pains only to find out I had a pulled muscle from coughing so much. I was greeted immediately by Michalea (sp?) who checked me in and was very nice. She offered us snacks and something to drink and walked us straight back to a room. And George was waiting already in the room for me to get started. Talk about great service. Dr Huyen Minh was very thorough and seemed very smart. Liked her 100 times better then my primary doctor. Needless to say I was in and out in like 15 min and never felt rushed. Thanks for being so awesome!

I have been sick for a week, and to busy to get to the doctor. When I finally had time to call my doctor they couldn’t get me in until the week after Christmas– over a week and half. After work on a Thursday I was dreading trying to find an urgent care, most urgent care clinics I have been too are super busy and run down, but not med spring. I walked, and I received a warm welcome, filled out one sheet of paper with just about five questions, only took about 60 seconds. The gentleman simply asked for my insurance card and id then offered me a drink and snack. Med spring has a cute coffee bar, with coffee, tea, water, cold drinks like juice and soda and a ton of snacks to choose from. Before, I was done making my hot tea, the gentlemen who welcomed me took me back to the exam room. In the exam room there was a big comfy couch, tv, few chairs, kids table with coloring books and exam table. The nurse came in a greeted me, the sweetest girl ever. Took my vitals and asked me all the normal questions, all while sitting on the comfy couch. Next the doctor came in and greeted me, then kindly asked me to move to the exam table for a quick look over. He told me what was wrong and told me how he was going to fix it, he was super nice too. The stuff ran my insurance, I didn’t even have a copay and called my Rx into the local 24 hour pharmacy. The whole visit was less than 30 minutes. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Plus the place was super clean! Thanks y’all over at the Cedar Park Med Spring for making me feel better!

This place always does such a great job. Went there today with my son who picked up strep from his sister. George at the front desk was awesome and helpful. He offered snacks and drinks which are always welcome when you have kids. Allie, the tech was great with my little sick guy, making him feel comfortable despite his fear of getting a throat culture. Dr. Brader was in the room within minutes with a thorough exam and superb patient teaching. We left with everything we needed and the script was waiting at the pharmacy!
I would mention the TV and WiFi but they were so quick, we didn’t get a chance to test them out!

Impressed! My husband suggested this location because of the late hours. We didn’t make it until very late due to a late close at my job. I was worried if feel rushed or brushed aside. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Please forgive me in advance if I spell a name wrong. I should have written them down.
George checked me in and was very courteous. He made me/​us feel welcome. Micaela greeted me with a smile and was equally inviting. Mary Grace was the PA that assisted me and was just as the other two.
The visit was as swift as it was efficient. We were impressed and left not only satisfied but grateful.

I’m giving MedSpring 3 stars because of the great nurse and front desk staff. However if I was to only rate my experience with the doctor, it would be 1 star. This was my second time at Medspring urgent care. My first experience was great, however this time I saw Dr. Lee. He entered the room, did not ask me to sit on the exam table, crossed his arms, gave me my diagnosis and told me the medication he would be prescribing. I felt that he was very dis-​interested and also condescending. I will give MedSpring another try should I need urgent care again due to my first visit being positive as well as the great nurses and staff, however I will not allow treatment from Dr. Lee again.

So I had to go here after I tried to get an appointment with my ENT and they told me that she was out of the office for the rest of this week… seriously. But all I can say now is, WoW they are quick! It was only seconds after I sat down after filling out my first time patient paper work that they called me to go in the room, or suite, as they like to call them. They had it all kept very clean and cozy, and it didn’t have that weird doctors office smell. It was actually just fresh. The nurses were very kind and willing to answer any questions that I had about the tests that they were taking and when they would be able to call with the results in 3 – 5 days. But it was kind of pricey. And it has now been 6 days and they never called me. So I have had 6 days without medication and its only getting worse. If you say you are going to do something, do it. Especially when health is involved.

Worst customer service. Called three times, talk to Nate, Taylor And Ada. First two person told me they will call me back. Never happen. Went to clinic on Jan and May twice, spend $ 300 for little skin infection behind my ear. Each time been told different thing. Now i still have that infection with me. On May visit Dr told me that if this time won’t getting better, you can see special skin dr. We will refund your this time visit money.
Now you guys say «we never say that» really? So patient need to bring a voice record at your clinic? Horrible service.

OMG. Best experience ever visiting doctor. Spent about total of 90 seconds to see the actual doctor. Gave me remote to big screen tv and hot cup of fresh premium coffee. Doctors are super nice. And they accepted my insurance. Really is awesome.

I just visited the location in Cedar Park, TX, 1890 Ranch. In fairness, I have been a patient here in the past and been very satisfied.
This time, I was treated as if I were an idiot who didn’t know anything about her own body. How DARE I ask for a prescription for an antibiotic when I have neck and body aches, cough so much I can’t sleep, etc. I should be taking over the counter medications, not coming in to get a prescription.
Allergy medicines either don’t work for me, or they make me so sleepy I can’t work. I am in my 50’s – I know this from experience. I do not appreciate being talked down to, and I’m not asking for narcotics.
My family will no longer use this clinic. It’s a shame, too, because the facility is lovely, and the staff (with the exception of this one doctor) have always treated me in a friendly, respectful manner.

All staff super friendly and nice! I saw a super sweet PA named Gladys who was very caring and spent time with me! Excellent place and I wasn’t there for 5 hours like most urgent cares! Thank you Gladys!

Here’s the deal about Urgent Care clinics… they are first come first serve. Even if you make an appointment, if 10 other people walk in before you get there, everyone will be seen in the order they check in. These places usually only have one doctor on staff, so even if it’s only 2 or 3 people ahead of you, you will be waiting a while. Keeping that in mind, it’s wise to call ahead and ask what the wait time is before you go.
That said, MedSpring provides the most efficient care possible under these circumstances. My review is specifically about the clinic at 1890 Ranch in Cedar Park– every time we have needed urgent care, the staff was attentive and kind. I just returned from a situation where I had to bring all my kids in for the flu. I was able to bring all three in on one appointment– not all facilities allow that. When my daughter began to vomit in the patient room, everyone, including the doctor, dropped everything to see to her. This is the kind of service my family and I have always received here.
I really appreciate the time Dr. Frederick took to explain about what was going on with the flu with my kids. Yes, he took about 20 minutes with us and made sure all my questions were answered before he left. I imagine if you multiply that by 2 or 3 people, you might be waiting a while, but wouldn’t you want the same level of care?
By the way, I only gave 4 stars because I think MedSpring should institute online real-​time wait times on their website for their clinics. That would probably help with the complaints about waiting so long. When they add this very useful service, I’ll upgrade my rating to 5 stars!

I’m giving this place 3 stars instead of one because my wife had a good experience here. Today we called 10 min ahead to check on the wait and was told there was none and they only had one patient. Well when we arrived there was about 7 people and the wait was close to 1 ½ hours. The receptionist was rude and said their answering service had no clue what was going on. That’s a lame excuse and unprofessional. Never going back here.

I really think MedSpring is the WAY TO GO if you can’t get into your regular dr.
I remembered great service a few years ago when I came in with a broken nose.
This time, it was 5:15pm, my son had a sudden fever onset while we were running errands & our pediatrician had just closed. I knew from an incident with my daughter earlier in the wk ARC was FULL of sick kids already so I decided to give MedSpring a chance.
In peak flu season and knowing many children’s things were going around– I basically needed to make sure it WAS NOT flu or strep or an ear infection.
I carried my 5 yr old in, he was crying and had red cheeks. The receptionist greeted us & told us to sit & she’d come to us to get what was needed. WOW!
Full coffee bar & snacks readily available. WOW! (Especially at dinner time!)
Clean nice waiting room & not full of miserably sick coughing people. WOW!
Quickly escorted to a large room to see the doctor with a couch & flat screen with cable channels. WOW!
Graciously offered drinks & snacks to me, my son & 9 year old throughout the visit. WOW!
Nice nurse checking us in & on us. WOW! Amanda & Seth where their names. :)
Doctor who wasn’t in a big rush and cooperated with my request to do an additional strep test to culture overnight. WOW! Dr. Diamond was who we saw and I’m thankful he put «mother knows best» before «doctors ego». ;-)
A customer satisfaction survey upon check out, which by the way was done IN the room. WOW! They must want me to come back! And care?!
A 48 hour guarantee (not another office charge or co-​pay.). You guessed it… WOW!
Healthcare should be like this. It shouldn’t be like typical government run things (Think about getting your DL renewed, county clerks, social security when you got married and changed your last name…). This is what can happen when businesses compete & want customers to pick them! A doctors office can be like a fancy hotel or «Hi, welcome to CiCi’s pizza.» We don’t have to be treated like «take a number and wait in line».

Great people, great service and a lobby/​waiting area with snacks, coffee, and cold drinks! The staff was great. Highly recommend checking this place out if you need some medical services.

I went in after work this afternoon seeking treatment for a very swollen and bruised ankle. I hobbled in to a very clean, well lit (free coffee, tea, cold drinks, and snacks!) waiting room. The entire staff, from the receptionist, to the young lady who took my vitals, the xray tech, and the DR were all so nice.
I was in and out in an hour’s time.
Not kidding, I will never pay another high deductible at an emergency room, unless I absolutely have to.
This is where I will go as long as I live in this area.
I highly recommend MedSpring to anyone.

So it all starts with me buying my son a basketball goal for the driveway as part of his Christmas. One would think I could easily hurt myself putting that contraption together, no? Nope. I survived. It all started the next day during a game of «P.I.G.» We were trying to do the craziest shots to force a letter (one handed backwards, over the back of our shoulders, from the behind the cars) — you get my point… It didn’t happen then either.
As we finished the game the ball bounced off the rim and I caught it. All of a sudden I felt the most amazing pain. I dropped the ball and looked at my hand. My left pinky finger looked like this:

I calmly walked in the house and let the man of the house know I needed to go see a Dr. — the sooner the better! We started at Cedar Park Hospital ER but after an hour on a gurney in the hallway I decided to leave. All rooms were filled with flu symptom patients. I just wanted to be back home. So we left and drove over to MedSpring.
I was in and out in 45 minutes. They immediately took me to a room and before I could get settled I was taken for x-​rays. The doctor was waiting when I reentered the room. He looked at it said «gross» and let me know I had dislocated in two directions and in two spots. He was kind enough to deaden my hand and reset my finger. I went back for x-​rays again afterwards, given referrals to a hand surgeon, and handed my x-​rays on CD. Whaaa’laaaa — done.

When I got home from MedSpring my son asked me if it hurt. I responded, «yes»
He followed with, «but you never cried or seemed upset. You know mom… you handled hurting your finger a lot better than you handled putting the basketball goal together. I really thought you were going break it, throw it, or cry before you finished. I love my son!

The staff was so nice, helpful, funny and professional. They have a great system down for getting people in and out. I felt I was well taken care of too.
Side note, the rooms have TVs etc. for added comfort if you don’t have a snickers bar and «not going anywhere for a while.»

I walked in and no one was there in the waiting room except the receptionist. She greeted me, had me a sign a form for consent to treat, and then told me to enjoy the free coffee/​tea/​water/​beverages in the waiting room.
I’d just barely finished filling my cup of water when they called me into the back and put me in a waiting room with a couch, exam bed, small table with crayons and stuff for kids, and a flat screen mounted on the wall. They told me I could watch whatever I want while I waited for the nurse to come in and get me started.
I didn’t have time to turn on the TV before the nurse was in to take my vitals and get the deets on why I was there. Then she left and said I could watch TV whileI waited for the physician.
I had barely started watching Pineapple Express when the doctor walked in. I was almost sad that he came in so fast, because I love that movie and I wanted to watch some of it. Anyway, he did a quick exam, wrote the script that I needed, and didn’t get annoyed with me when I continually told him that I was there because I didn’t have a «real» doctor yet. Or that I was planning to get «real» doctor this month, because I couldn’t remember the American term for General Practitioner. It wasn’t til the end that he nodded, and said «yes, a primary care physician», without a hint of annoyance.
Sorry, Dr. MedSpring, you’re totally a real doctor, and you were great, and the $ 145 I was charged for the visit wasn’t even that crazy, all things considered.
