Specialties

We provide training for individuals who are looking to obtain their NMLS Mortgage Loan Officer licensing and need to fulfill their 20 hours of education. In addition, we also teach continuing education each year to Mortgage Loan Officers who need to renew their NMLS licenses.

History

Established in 2009.

The Affinity Real Estate & Mortgage Training School, founded in 2009, focuses on assisting students to obtain a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license. In addition, we offer our students CE (continuing education) courses and other real estate related courses such as ethics 101 and understanding foreclosure prevention services, including loan modifications assistance and training.

Since our inception it has been our goal to provide our students with the most accurate and current knowledge necessary to pass the both the National and State NMLS Exams and obtain your license.

Artricia W.

Business Owner

Artricia Woods has been in the Real Estate and Mortgage Business for over 15 years. She is both a Real Estate Broker and Certified Real Estate and Mortgage Trainer. After earning her Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelors, she began practicing Real Estate in 1995 and teaching Real Estate Mortgage classes in the year 2000 after obtaining her teaching credentials. Her training courses are approved by both the Bureau of Real Estate and the Nationwide Mortgage License System.

Having a Passion for helping others, and seeing the change in the mortgage industry, she began in 2009 focusing her training efforts to training agents, brokers & homeowners in foreclosure prevention, short sales and loan modifications. She has a strong desire and history of helping others obtain and maintain the American Dream of Homeownership. Her success is backed by her satisfied clients who have given her a chance to help them.

This is the place where you need to INVEST your money to expect a great RETURN, meaning you are on the right path to take the NMLS exam and PASS. Artricia is very detailed oriented and possesses the knowledge one needs to understand how the test works and get a passing score. My broker recommended her and he was absolutely right on why I had to go to Affinity Academy. The material provided, handouts, copies etc, are a MUST and her explanations and responses came out with patience and desire for the student to learn. I will do my due diligence to recommend Artiricia Woods and her Training Academy to those in the industry I know. Her job is excellent.

Excellent crash course. I took the crash course and it was very informative and Artricia explained everything and went at a fast pace but she made sure everyone understood before moving forward. I passed my exam and will definitely be using her classes for my continuing Ed as well as refer others to her. I highly recommend her and be ready to take a lot of notes and bring 2 highlighters at least

I came to Affinity Test Prep Crash Course as my last resort! While I have my exam set for next Monday, I highly recommend Atricia Class for any one that is looking to pass the NMLS test, she is very knowledgeable. She really cares for the students and is out there to really help you pass. She provided great tips and made if very easy to understand the material. I’m sure that with the tools she provided I will have a great outcome.

The stellar review by Baba on 2÷13÷16 is everything I wanted to say about Artricia’s class so I will just add my experience. I took her 20 hour class a couple of weeks ago and I found it to be interesting, educational and motivating. Artricia has a great voice that engages her students and her instructor style is very motivating and she keeps the pace of the class just perfect for staying alert and listening.
I pondered whether to take the 20 hour online course or the live class and I am so glad I chose her class. I learned so much more than I ever would have trying to learn the material online, and it gave me a world of confidence to go into my pretest studying.
I passed the test this week after 7 days studying the material. While I did fine on the test, it was extremely difficult and in hindsight I see how the crash course would have helped with more of the details. Please don’t waste your time taking the 20 hour course online — take the live class from Artricia and take the 1-​day crash course. You will not be disappointed.
On a funny note, Artricia gave us some word tips/​tricks to use in our memorization of some of the federal regulations that I may forever remember and I will think of Artricia fondly. Thank you Artricia — you are a great instructor!

Articia’s class really exceeded my expectations and it probably has been the best training class I’ve taken. The class is very informative and structured in a way that even if you are new to lending, it is easy to understand. You are taught everything you need to know to become a knowledgeable loan originator and what to expect on passing the federal exam. I recommend her class to anyone.

I failed the NMLS test 5 times. Then I took Artricia’s crash course and learned so much. Her class was very detailed, and helped me pass my test. The additional practice tests and material that she gives is very beneficial, and will help you pass. I would definitely recommend her class. I wish I would of taken her class earlier, so I wouldn’t of blown $ 550 taking the test 5 times.

Simply a no-​brainer, and a great investment for your future. Extremely pleased with my experience at Affinity taking the crash course class. Artricia was extremely knowledgeable and able to conduct the class in a way that made it easy for people to understand what was necessary in order to pass the test. I highly recommend doing this crash course BEFORE you take your test, as this will get you to pass your FIRST TRY, should you do EVERYTHING she tells you to do.

I made the mistake of taking an online 20 hour course. What a waste of time. I didn’t feel ready for the exam at all. Came across Atricia’s crash course. Taking this one day course was the best decision I made. Atricia is a friendly, knowledgable, and good instructor. I learned more in this one class then the four day online class I took.
Not only did she go over the most important parts for the exam, she some of the little things that can trick you on their questions. I caught myself at least three times answering an exam question too quickly and remembered her advice and reread the questions and got them right.
I passed both the state and national exams on the first try!

If you are hoping to pass your NMLS test, take Artricia’s class.
The test in my opinion is hard, so taking a class by Artricia is imperative. I know a few people who took an online class elsewhere and they are having a very hard time passing.
Artricia came highly recommended so I made a trip from Northern California to Southern California to take her weekend class because I wanted to learn from the best. Keep in mind that if you do not pass the National test the first time you have to wait 30 days to take the test again, plus pay the testing fee each time.
Her teaching style is great! She moves quickly so you do not get bored but she repeats important information so you really grasp it. She also gives you really good tips on how to remember the different regulations and also how to remember all the acronyms you have to know. She is the true definition of a good teacher.
The best part is her prep course after the 20 hour pre-​licensing class that you can take. She gives you an audio recording of her test prep course so that you can re-​review the audio and slides when you go home. I listened to her prep course while in my car, at home while I would get ready in the morning, while I was cleaning up the house. It allowed me to multi task and study at the same time.
She also gives you practice exams to make sure you are ready before you schedule your National test.
I highly recommend both her 20 hour pre-​licensing and her prep course.
I am happy to report that I passed first try.

I recently took the crash course for the nmls safe test with Affinity Mortgage in Cerritos. I found the class to be extremely helpful. The handout materials were excellent, as well as the classroom instruction and practice exams. I passed on the first attempt with a 90% score. Artricia was great, and I highly recommend her service. Really great teacher! She is efficient but will take the time to make sure that you know everything you need to know. She knows when you get it or if you’re just faking it and she’ll call you out and ask you questions to ensure you can pass the test.
Truly an amazing educator and person. Would highly recommend her! She’s also very available by email even after your session is completed.
