Pretty good dog… the place is a little old but that’s what you expect in Chamblee. The food was good but it’s not a place I will go back any time soon.

I have been eying this place for months, but finally build the courage to try it out last week. The place has this cool, laid back atmosphere. There is a lounge and even a little library for people to hang out. There was only one gentlemen operating the place, and as the stated by the other reviewers, he wasn’t very interactive. I ordered the chili slaw dog and the Chicago dog. For me, both hot dogs was complete failure. The cole slaw was way too watery. As for the hot dogs themselves, they were terribly rubbery. Five guys is just around the corner. Go there instead.

Visited this place with high hopes. I went with my mother and my son on a Saturday. I was underwhelmed. The guy working the counter(only person there) said barely anything to us. When other people came in to eat and they tried to engage him in conversation, he barely said a word. He was more interested in his computer. I ordered two«naked dogs» with fries, got a «naked» dog for my little guy and my mother got a brat with chips. I received two skinny red hotdogs lacking in much flavor. The buns were cold. The fries were spongy, covered in salt and… pepper? Yuck. My mother, however, loved her brat so it was not a total loss. My son was too distracted to eat much, he was watching the trains across the street. He usually devours fries but he barely touched these. I can’t say I blame him. I’ve had hotdogs in Chicago, my husband’s family lives there. I’ve been to Portillo’s and those hotdogs were far superior to what I had. Even the hotdogs at Five Guys are stellar in comparison. A postscript. A few days later, I happened to find an article about this place and the owner was the same guy who served us that day. I would advise him to learn some conversational skills and fix a decent hotdog. We won’t be coming back.
