At Kai we do a full consultation with each and every service to make sure we understand your needs.

We pride ourselves on creating an exceptional guest experience and want you to leaving feeling beautiful, both inside and out.

We offer custom color services, haircuts, massage, facials, facial and body waxing, nail services, eye lash extensions, airbrush tanning and more.

Spa memberships and bridal services are also available.

History

Established in 2008.

Established in 2008, Kai’s first salon opened in Champlin. The salon grew to include a full spa in 2011. Kai was honored as a Top 200 Salon in the US by Salon Today in 2014 with awards in the categories of growth, retention and referral programs. A well known, premier provider of hair, skin, nail and spa services in the northern suburbs, Kai continues to grow, and in July of 2014 opened a second salon in the north loop area of Minneapolis. In line with Kai’s mission, we are dedicated to giving back to the local community and beyond. Kai is an Aveda concept salon, using Aveda products in all of our services and offering the complete product line for retail.

Business Owner

Since she graduated from the Aveda Institute over 15 years ago, Laura dreamed of owning a salon. Her dream became reality in 2008 when she and her husband of 13 years, Adam, opened Kai Salon & Spa in Champlin. In July of 2014, the second Kai location in Minneapolis opened. Laura’s passion truly is helping people feel beautiful both inside and out. She believes strongly in continuing education, loving what you do and giving back. When she has a free moment, she enjoys traveling, decorating, and spending time with friends and family, including her two dogs.
