Simply Better Plumbing and Drain

They live up to their name! My house had several minor leaks, and one in the laundry room that was threatening to be not so minor. I had 2 leaky bathroom faucets (in separate bathrooms), a leak in my laundry lines, a tub faucet that was loose, and my kitchen sink was leaking as well. When they looked at everything, they pointed out that my piping under the sink was also way outdated and not up to code. Also, the rubber ring in the sink to the disposal was gone. They offered to try to just fix the old faucets, and the price for all jobs together was extremely low. But they warned that sometimes it is not reliable and they end up leaking again. They did not pressure me, but just laid out options. So, not wanting the hassle of having a leak recur, i had them replace the bathroom faucets. They also replaced a third so that they would all match. The new faucets are much prettier and up to date, and 100% guaranteed by them. The price they quoted me to replace 3 bathroom faucets (including hardware umdeneath the cabinets), tighten the bathtub faucet, replace both laundry line hardware, fix the leak, piping, and disposal ring in the kitchen, was still, very reasonable considering it was several jobs. Additionally, after they had quoted me the price, when they were updating the pipes under the sink, they realized they had to replace more of it than they thought to make it fit right. They did not add any more to the original estimate for this. This work was done end of December, and it is now May and all is holding up great! They were friendly, polite, and very honest. I used to always feel anxiety over which company to call when an issue would come up, but these guys are now my clear cut Go-​to!

I had nothing but a very positive experience with Simply Better. To make a long story short, I had a «handyman» trying to fix a leaky faucet in a bath tub. He made the problem worse and ran off leaving my bathroom in shambles. I needed a REAL plumber to fix everything quickly. I was afraid of what the cost would be, but had no choice but to get someone who actually knew what they were doing.
After reading the Unilocal reviews I decided to give these guys a try. Not only did they come out the same day that I called, but they didn’t try to take my first-​born child. They went over the problem, gave me options for how to solve it, and got everything done for a very reasonable price. By the time I got home from work the problem was solved and I didn’t have to worry about it any more.
I learned my lesson. No more handymen for my plumbing issues. I now know where to go to get great service at a fair price.

So, this is an atypical review. I never actually paid for a service from this company. But, I did have a great experience with Don, the owner.
I called the business, and Don, the owner, answered the phone. I talked with him about a problem I was having with my hot water tank, and a possible leak. He willfully and happily spent quite a bit of time with me, instructing me over the phone on things to look at, a couple tests to do with my water meter and valves, and recommended a couple leak detection companies. I then made an appointment time for him to come out after the leak detection company came to my house.
A day later, I had the leak detection company come out, and I was extremely happy to hear that I did not have a major problem at all, and it was fixed right there.
I called Don, expressed my extreme greatfullness for his help over the phone, and also expressed the fact that I was sorry that I was canceling his appointment because I didn’t need his service.
Don didn’t try to push me to still have him come out. For that matter, he give me no other feeling but the fact that he was very happy for me that my problem had been solved.
Though I didn’t end up using Don and his services this time, I will %100 be calling him if I ever need a plumber in the future.

I got quotes from several of the other highly rated plumbing businesses in the area on Unilocal for a bunch of work that needed to be done on my new home. I am surprised they only have one review on here, so I wanted to give them some more publicity. Here is why I recommend Simply Better:
1. Their quote was around $ 500, the others were from $ 700 to $ 950.
2. They offered to do more simple repairs they noticed that needed to be done than the other companies, thrown in with the cost.
3. They were more willing to work around my schedule and get it done quickly.
4. Don easily understood the list of repairs from my home inspection report, explained them to me and pointed them out. Some of the other plumbing agencies were confused by some of the items and were not able to find what they were talking about.
5. They made it easy, and got the parts I requested for me, rather than me having to find them myself. I am very happy with the parts they got.
6. They taught me how to do a couple of simple things to avoid having to call out a plumber again and save me money in the future.
My impression (as someone who knows nothing about plumbing) is that they are reliable, professional, and honest. I would recommend them to a friend. I was very happy with their service, and did not feel gouged at all as I expected to feel by getting plumbing work done.

Don, the owner is awesome. I recommend this man.
He is a pleasure to work with: patient, respectful, not pushy.
He gave us multple options on how to solve our problem. The house needed the work, and we knew it. We just didn’t want to feel like we got ripped off.
One thing that is unique. He tells you what time he will arrive, and it is a 30minute window. He is prompt So, you don’t have to be tied down for multiple hours waiting for the plumber.
