Jason is a true professional, I took my motorcycle in to get crash bars installed on it. Jason gave me a very reasonable quote for the job, and installed it same day!
I’m glad to have found a reliable motorcycle repair shop close by, will definitely check with him first for any repair/​servicing needs.

Stop by there on Saturday afternoon with 3 ATV wheels and tires to replace. Man was the nicest and professional and knew what he was doing, all in a fast time. Highly recommend this place

I’ve been in a few motorcycle shops in my life ranging from Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, and Virginia, and I can say without a doubt that Brooks Cycles ranks among the best. I cannot point to one specific thing that makes this shop better but here are a few things that I really appreciate:
1: The front entry way is very professional. The bathroom is clean, the cash register area is organized, and there are items for sale on all three interior walls. Items for sale include necessities such as oils and batteries and other goodies such as mirrors and aesthetic accessories.
2: The riders lounge is a low key area to hang out for awhile. There’s a tv, Netflix, a gaming console, and coffee. The lounge also offers plenty of motorcycle magazines to paw through.
3: Jason and Nelly (I hope I spelled that right!) are great to talk to! They’re human just like you and I so don’t be afraid to engage them in conversation. (Rumor has it they may offer some advice for great motorcycle roads heading west.)
4: Winter is slow for any shop and to take advantage of the lull, Brooks Cycles offers free pickup and dropoff! I’m roughly 20 miles south of this shop and Jason had no problem coming out to pick up a Triumph.
5: They will work on anything! I walked in and say a myriad of motorcycles including a moped and a few dirt bikes. Outside were some Harleys, Triumphs, Hondas, and Kawasakis. Good love for all two wheeled machines.
6: They don’t perform state inspections. But they are on good terms with the automotive shop on the other side of the building and they can perform motorcycle inspections! This doesn’t mean you’ll get a discount; it just means there’s an option in the immediate vicinity.
You’re probably heard this before: Good work is not cheap and cheap work is not good. The advertised $ 90 per hour rate is pretty standard. I can wrench easy things on a motorcycle or car but sometimes I need to call reinforcements. I found Brooks Cycles through a recommendation and will provide the same recommendation for others. I will also be a repeat customer.

Where to begin? I brought my 1983 Suzuki GS750T to Jason for a full restoration. Brooks went through the entire bike. From the headlight to the muffler, he replaced it all. Friendly service and very reasonably priced. List of work follows below.
What did Brooks repair? Replaced headlight and bucket, installed new old stock (NOS) gas tank, NOS seat, new petcock, NOS side covers, added Dyna coils, a full Vance and Hines exhaust system, new bars, new grips/​levers, rear progressive springs/​shocks, tachometer, mirrors and replaced a lot of other little parts. He also rebuilt and jetted my carburetors and had the bike running smoothly after it had been sitting for years in storage. The best part? He was able to do everything in a reasonable amount of time (given the parts I needed as well as the labor in addition to the number of other customer bikes that were already there).
Most motorcycle shops I ride to in the area (when I am window shopping) can’t believe how well my bike runs and looks. I owe this solely to Jason. I would not hesitate to spend the same amount of money with him again. He is the only shop I recommend to my friends. He is the only shop I have ever been to where I haven’t wondered if the needed repairs were questionable. I know bikes pretty well and was listening to him talk to another customer and explain what was wrong with their bike and it was refreshing. Most shops simply grunt out what the bike needs and give you an estimate.
The next thing I plan to have him install are new progressive springs and seals on my vintage ride.
He really knows 70’s, 80’s and 90’s bikes (as well as newer models judging by the customer bikes I saw at the shop).
The shop is clean and has a lounge area for customers. And there is a huge wall of Bikemaster parts you can buy off the shelf.

I went to Brooks for the first time last week for a bunch of stuff I’ve been putting off. I needed a new front tire, new front brake pads, someone to look at my steering head bearings and the regular maintenance needed at 22,500 on my ’09 ZX-​14.
The owner, Jason, was friendly and *very* knowledgeable. I met him last week so he could go over my bike and give me an estimate. We got to talking about revalving the front forks with some higher end parts. It sounded interesting and he gave me an estimate for that as well.
I relaxed in their waiting room (which is actually my dream man-​cave) watching Family Guy on Netflix and reading motorcycle magazines while he went over my bike and wrote up the estimate.
I agreed to the work (including the front fork valves) and set up a time to drop off the bike after Thanksgiving weekend. I dropped it off on Dec 1^st and got it back Dec 3^rd.
The work these guys do is top notch, zero complaints. The front forks are amazing! So happy they did the extra work.
I’m definitely going to be using Brooks Cycle for all my bike needs from now on!

First time rider, bought a bike online and immediately took it to Brooks for a once over since they had so many stars.
Nice place, nice people, but screwed over hard. How? Well 2 weeks after this OVER CHARGE FOR NOTHING, my bike brakes down in Andrews AFB. I was told by Brooks I needed new tires and other items that had NOTHING to do with why the bike broke down.
Willpower by Andrews saved me and did the unheard of, he took the bike apart and SHOWED me that the brake fluid had NOT been changed (as I was told) and it was almost black and very dangerous, the clutch cable was damaged which was NOT mentioned! Done with this place.
Nice set up (silver spoon?) but not professional in regards to something that could potentially kill me.

I usually do my own routine maintenance, but have had difficulty finding a good shop in the DC area for tire changes and other repairs I don’t have the tools or skills for. Been to about a half dozen other shops over the past 20 years and have never had anything above mediocre service. I just brought a wheel in to brooks for a new tire install and these guys were professional, friendly and straightforward. I expected to have to leave it and pick up in a day or two, but they offered to do it in 20 minutes while I waited. Labor rates are better than any other shop in the DC area, and I’ll definitely be taking all future tire changes and other larger repair/​maintenance issues to Brooks.

I am new to the area and I needed to get a tuneup and some mechanical work. I dropped off my custom chopper trike at Brooks Cycles. Jason and his staff are very professional and Jason kept me informed with the progress. Needless to say my trike is running smoother then before. You have won my trust in your work. It feels great to get back in the wind. Thank you Jason and to your staff for a job well done.

Great shop and worth the very long drive for me. I had a more local shop tell me that 1^st and 2^nd gear and the shift fork needed to be replaced, $ 2000, but they didnt have the time/​space to do the job. Took it here to Brooks, and Jason found it was just an adjustment issue, no need to split the cases, he also replaced the head gasket/​spark plug gaskets fixing an oil and coolant leak. Great service and great quality work.

I recently took my 2004 Suzuki VZ1600 to Brooks’ for a 15K mile service.
Fast forward to today when my wife and I took ‘er out for the first ride of the season. We were about an hour from home (90+ minutes from Brooks’) when the bike suddenly lost power. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue myself, but to no avail. I assumed (incorrectly mind you) that something was not put back together correctly during the service, so I called Brooks’. It’s important to note that all this occurred on a Sunday when the shop is closed. Jason just happened to be in the office doing some paperwork. After I explained what had happened, he immediately began driving in my direction with trailer in tow. Upon Jason’s arrival, he took the bike apart, identified the problem (my fault… not theirs), fixed it, and I was able to ride home with no more issues.
What more could you ask for than a shop that stands behind their work… on a Sunday… when they’re closed!!! Please help me to say «thank you» to Jason by giving Brooks Cycles your business. You won’t be disappointed!

Great service! Would highly recommend it, especially if you like personalized service. I had long list of items I needed done on my HD and they did a terrific job. They have my business for now on and I would recommend them for any repairs on a HD.

Brooks’ is the most honest, no BS cycle shop around. Won’t sell u stuff U don’t need just to make themselves money… Honesty and trust go a long way and they have my trust 150%. They also don’t have those grossly over inflated prices and don’t use talk you won’t understand just to sell you something you don’t need. I wouldn’t go anywhere else but here. Jason is a stand up guy. You won’t find anywhere better out there !!!

The guys at Brooks Cycles are solid. Everyone from Jason, to Taylor, to the other bro, I think his name is Nelly. Anyways I’ve come here to get my oil changed, all my fluids checked out, break changed, put in new fairings and even got a duplicate key made (they had to go into ignition box to get the code) and the key was made with a spare. The guys have a print out of the quote and the prices are fair and the service is excellent. Sometimes I call and have issues with my bike and they try to talk me through it in assisting in troubleshooting it myself without having to come in. Either way, they go the extra mile, great work, and are very helpful. I would recommend these guys anytime.

I have been using Unilocal for many years and have often thought about writing reviews. However the service i received from Jason was so awesome that I had to finally do one. Jason has actually helped me multiple times. I do mostly track riding and do about all the work on my bike myself. However, recently I came across a situation where the motorcycle I was building had different head stock bearings than my triple trees. I was in a panic as I was signed up for a track day that weekend. Called several shops for help and then I remembered Brooks. Half the other shops I talked to didn’t even know what I was talking about when referring to head stock (or stem?) bearings and races
Jason knew exactly what I was talking about and even though he was slammed with work he told me to bring my parts over and he would install the new bearing and race for me. In addition this was at the end of the day. I waited no more than 20 minutes and he took care of it right there knowing I needed to rebuild the rest of my bike in time for my trackday.
Without question if I need anything done to my bike in the future Brooks will be the first place I call. These guys run a shop that has a very personal feel. Thank you guys again for helping me get back on the track!

I brought my Honda cbr600RR for the 8k service and I had an exceptional experience with guys there. Everyone were very friendly and professional. Gave me a print out of all the services that will be done and even went out their way to get the problems I had with the bike fixed. Awesome shop.

I have mixed feelings about this shop. The location isn’t too convenient for me. I only mention that because I would only go out of my way for a shop if it was exceptional. I brought my bike in for a tire install and oil change. They upsold me on a tune up package that wasn’t too much more than just the oil change (I’m not using upsold in a bad way, there was no pressure). The guy at the front desk was really cool so no problem there. They had printer problems that day so I couldn’t get a receipt or anything right away. I left my email address so I could get the report of what they did for my records. I never received the report. Over the following weeks, I emailed, messaged through Facebook (they were responsive this way when I asked for their correct location), and used the contact form on their website asking for the report of what they did to my bike. No response. I got a little fed up so I tried once more on Facebook before I gave up. I finally received a response about a month after the actual service. They sent a receipt but based on the convo I had at the shop, I thought I’d receive a little more of a detailed report of what was done and what was found. Now I have no clue if any fluids were low, topped off, or any other issues occurred.
Also, a few days after my tire install, I had a flat tire on the bike. After some investigating, I found that the valve stem core was not properly tightened. I tightened the core and the tire holds air fine. I let the shop know about this issue and they responded saying they’d let the technician know about it. That’s fine, but it could’ve ended poorly for me if I went out on a long ride that weekend.
Overall, I’m sure it’s a fine shop. Their tire prices seemed good (I bought elsewhere but they gave me quotes for the same tires for future reference). I usually do my own work but I bought the tune up out of convenience. I may consider this shop again the future but I may also just go somewhere closer to home.

Amazing! As a elite salesman that understands customer service, Jason and his crew go way beyond what is the norm for retail these days. I called Jason after calling many shop’s and got one of the friendly, knowledgeable and most comfortable to talk too individuals on that day. So I brought the bike and my carbs needed cleaning the job was done 2 days later. Rode it home and it ran like a champ. Then later that day the bike wouldn’t start, so I assumed it was a carb problem so I called Jason and he came out to my house and worked on my bike, to find out it was another problem all together. Above and beyond the call of duty. Jason will always work on my bikes from this point forward. Oh and by the way I live an hour and 15 min from his shop. Great job Jason! Keep up the great work.

I took my R6 track bike to Brooks Cycle. I dealt with the owner Jason Brooks who was very professional and even had a sense of humor. I came in to Brooks with a Groupon and had some extra service done. They finished before I expected and were very flexible with pick up and took payment over the phone. I will certainty take my SV650s street bike there for service, especially since he rides Vtwins himself. I highly recommend his shop.

Brooks Cycle Center is a great shop — I have taken my bike there for service and was very happy with the quality of the work, the price, and the helpfulness/​friendliness of the staff. Very highly recommended.
