Enterprise Contracting is a company that rests squarely on the shoulders of the owner, Andy Riley. He is actively involved in ensuring customer satisfaction and high quality work! Early in 2015, I visited the home and remodeling show trying to find the right company to help me figure out what to do within my budget, to remove a leaking chimney and upgrade as much of the exterior of my home as possible. Andy ensured we were able — within budget — to get everything we wanted (not just needed) while meeting our expectation of high quality materials and workmanship!
Now, we have the leaking chimney gone with a beautiful new bay window, new siding, rain gutters, soffit, and a replacement bow window in the stone front of the house that needed replaced. Enterprise met and stayed on schedule at every step of the way! Amazingly, they didn’t miss a beat and if they said they’d be there or do something, they were on time every
time and did it. When is the last time you heard of a contractor (and their subs) being on time and doing exactly what they were supposed to do! Watching Enterprise work was like watching a symphony of logistics, scheduling and coordination as they nearly cut my schedule in half, taking little more than 2 weeks to do what was planned as a month or more!
Enterprise was amazing and if you hire them, make sure to meet and work with the owner, Andy Riley! Andy is an honest and caring contractor and we all know this is extremely rare in today’s world. Give him a chance, he’ll personally make sure you’re every expectation is met and exceeded!

Enterprise is excellent at coming up with special designs and solving problems, and I’ve been so happy with the quality of their work that they are the only contractor I use. I have a condo in Florida, and that contractor took a lot longer than it was supposed to and it cost a lot more than I was told it would. Conversely, I’ve never had a problem with Enterprise. They’ll get it done when they say they will, they give me a price and they stick to it.
The first project I had Enterprise do was a garage/​carport combination. The owner, Andy Riley, custom designed an over-​sized one-​car garage with a carport attached — with the object being that the construction wouldn’t interfere with a large tree on my property. It turned out great and I always get compliments on it. The garage project went so well, they were first people I thought of when it was time to do my den addition. I also had them expand the powder room and close off the screen porch. Most recently I had them fix a water leakage problem, which turned into an extensive remodeling job. It was all done very well and I am, as always, very happy with the results.

I met with Jim Sullivan in their showroom to review the designs they developed as we begin the upgrade process of our Master Bathroom. I was impressed and loved the proposed design they provided and was looking forward to working with this team. When I left the showroom (after being there for a couple of hours), I was told I would be contacted in a week with an estimate to complete the job. Well, that was over a month ago and I have not been contacted. I reached out to Jim Sullivan well over a week ago via email and he responded promptly with with «my apologies, it must have been an administrative oversight. I will follow up in the morning and have someone get back to you right away». Needless to say, two weeks later, I have heard nothing!!! Really? They don’t want our business? At no time during our/​my meetings with this company were there any contentious moments… terrible customer service! Beware! We have moved on to another company who gets back to us.

I’ve used Enterprise Contracting for four major home improvement projects over the past 20 years, and I’ve always been very happy with the results. The biggest project they did for me was a new addition of a screen porch with a hot tub, and it turned out so well they use a photo of it in their brochure.
People always ask me if everything went smoothly. No, when you’re working with an older home there are always bumps in the road and there can be surprises. But Andy, the owner, is a problem solver. He’s very at good working through any issue and making it all right. I’ve used other companies for smaller work like tiling, and it’s so common that they don’t show up when they say they will or they disappear when only half the work is done. Enterprise workers come when they say they will. Andy stands behind his company’s work and I really appreciate that.

I used Enterprise to replace my roof and repair my front brick porch. The challenge was replacing an awfully designed metal roof and Andy walked me through the options and patiently waiting for the HOA to approve the design. He was able to suggest some changes and also replaced the gutters at no additional cost. The result garnered praised from the neighbors, even those who were skeptical of the plans.
Enterprise also repaired my front brick porch which was separating from the foundation and the house itself. The results were solid and the cracks that had been appearing regularly were no longer a problem.
Like most folks in N. Va, I don’t have time to deal with unresponsive contractors or those who fail to show when promised or finish when planned. Andy ensured that the crew showed on time, completed the job as promised, and cleaned up the site.
His company is at the top of my list for major repairs and renovations. I recommend Enterprise without any reservations.

Enterprise Contracting is an extremely well managed and professional firm, with exemplary customer service and first class execution capabilities. Without hesitation I offer my highest unqualified recommendation to them. What I like most is the complete honesty/​transparency they provide throughout the project, right from the idea generation stage to the final execution/​remodeling project. I was surprised to learn, after visiting their office that they are not a small firm, because they offer terrific and very personalized service — which to me counts above everything else.
As a business owner who has run small and large organizations globally, I am very critical and demanding of superior service as an end paying customer. And I have come to expect, particularly with home improvement and contracting, one typically gets what we pay for. So while one might save hundreds or thousands of dollars by choosing to work with contractors who over promise and under deliver, the experience is almost always frustrating. Enterprise Contracting smashes that assumption and stereotype and while they offer a full array of pricing options — they do it without sacrificing quality and service.
My family used the services of Enterprise Contracting to design and remodel our kitchen, living room and master bedroom. And right from setting up time for the initial meeting/​consultation to the designs we analyzed together with their.
architect and designer in the office of Enterprise Contacting, I was impressed and fully satisfied.

Terrible experience. They were paid to build an 8X25 covered front porch on my home. I hired them because I am not a construction expert and know nothing about this type of project. Enterprise drew up the design and pulled the permits. They ended up using materials that were not approved for use by the county. They acted like it was my responsibility to determine what was approved or not. Then they basically stopped work while the county inspectors came after me. Enterprise wasn’t responsive or accommodating, nor would they work with the county. After several months they finished the work with poor quality matériel and labor. It was clear that they just wanted to get out of the job. A giant headache.

We had Enterprise build a huge addition to the back of our 90-​year-​old stone house. It included a family room, a full master bedroom with walk-​in bathroom, an extra bedroom, and a screened porch. Everything about our project was kind of special. Besides the size, we needed it done in time for Christmas, because we had family visiting from England. Enterprise’s people were like a swarm of ants the last 2 to 3 weeks, but it got done in time. Overall we were very happy with everything. I think it went as smooth as anyone can expect any of these projects to go.
Enterprise solved a major hiccup. When we started building the back addition, we discovered the roof was actually framed the wrong way when the house was originally built. This is not a problem, unless you go add an addition to it. The oversight was done by architect, not Enterprise, but Enterprise came up with the solution. We cut a hole through each side of the house, and hauled an extra beam right through there.
I was also impressed with Enterprise’s attention to detail on the woodwork. Back in Britain, I’ve been on a lot of building sites and know what to expect and what not to expect. The minor work that they did on our back porch was very, very nice.

Enterprise did a remodel for me in Leesburg Va. I was happy with the work performed by Paul Rydholm and Tonia Burns. Paul & Tonia helped my wife and I through the entire process.

BAD EXPERIENCE — NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE… Wonderful sales staff and meeting to sign the work order and for us to hand over initial payment. After that, a series of different groups of men worked on our house… some workers claimed to be subcontractors… These workers were in and out of our home. Some days workers didn’t show for 3 – 5 days and then after calling they finally came back. The customer communication and service was horrible. I had to push for answers. There was no sense of continuity and many mistakes were made. The man who was supposed to be managing our job, was hardly around. I had to call and e-​mail the owners non-​stop to get the work done. I was finally done, but it took forever and the attention to detail was not there. I felt like I had to complain to get work done. If you want headaches and hassles, use this company. I had to clean up after all jobs… Worker’s trash was everywhere and cigarette butts… This was a nightmare. This wasn’t normal home construction stress… I have had that before… this was just a plain awful experience. Epic Fail.

Very bad contracting experience! We hired them to manage a wide range of projects; new windows, siding, new front porch and bathroom remodel. Had to repeatedly threaten them to show up to do and finish the work which was plagued with problems. Predictably, they came to pick up a check and create the final punch list and never showed up again. Our roof above new porch has massive drainage problems which they were to have fixed and several important parts of the bathroom remodel were never completed. BUYER BEWARE!
