The Arborist Tree Service

Another tree service knocked on my door to give a free estimate, and told me that several of our 50+ ft tall trees should come down. I called The Arborist for a second opinion, and to have some broken and dead branches removed. Someone came out within the week to give an estimate. Their pricing was much more reasonable than the competitor (and was clearly itemized), and they recommended a more moderate «wait and see» approach about some trees, which appear healthy. The person who did the walk-​around and gave the estimate is very knowledgeable and is a real tree lover. They did the work within 2 weeks, on a weekday when I was not home, and except for their invoice on my door, they left no trace. They were working near other plantings and by our deck, and did not do any damage at all. These folks will help you take care of the trees you have, not get rid of healthy trees to make a buck. Highly recommended!

My neighbor hired The Arborist Tree Service company and we had problems with limbs falling onto our property and landing on a tree and shrub as well as a garden of bulbs. When my wife noticed what had occurred she brought her concerns to the attention of one of the workers and he was dismissive and uncooperative. Bruce, the owner of the Arborist, was also present so my wife spoke with him. While he was polite to her he has not offered to compensate us for the damages caused by his employees and the inconvenience we suffered (we had some cleanup to do). Mistakes such as these are fully preventable when skilled people work carefully and considerately. I certainly wouldn’t want workers at my house having this kind of negative impact on my neighbors
I have invited the owner of The Arborist Tree Service to provide me with his response to this review so that I can correct any inaccuracies that may have been inadvertently included in my recollection of the above described incident.
October 2014– a tree that was damaged by a falling limb has since died. I reached out to the Arborist several times to see if they would be interested in compensating me so I could replace it and I haven’t heard back from them.
