Established in 2005.

Dr. McMurtry’s general and cosmetic dentistry practice has been serving the Mountain Island Lake area of Charlotte, North Carolina since 2005, and he is pleased that you have chosen him to serve you and your family’s dental needs.

Dr. McMurtry sees patients of all ages, from children to adults. He performs a wide range of services from cleanings and exams to fillings, crowns, veneers, and dentures.

Charlotte dentist, Dr. Brian McMurtry grew up near the beautiful and sunny beaches of Clearwater, Florida. After graduating valedictorian from Countryside High School, his college years were spent at UNC — Chapel Hill, where he earned both his B.S. in Chemistry (1997) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (2001).

After dental school, Dr. McMurtry entered the United States Navy, completing a General Practice Residency and serving as Dental Department Head aboard the USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41). In 2005, after resigning his commission as a decorated veteran from the Navy, Dr. McMurtry opened his dental practice in the Mountain Island Lake area of Charlotte and has been proudly serving his patients since that time.

Dr. McMurtry was awarded the title of «Fellow» by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2009. Dr. McMurtry also teaches at UNC-​Chapel Hill, where he holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Operative Department.
