Camden Ballantyne

Excellent place to live in! I had lived there and the level of service is simply exemplary. What impressed me is even several months after I checked out, I get immediate and attentive responses — that to me is caring for the resident.
Units are impressive too.

I give one star because the place is nice. But the managers in the office are young and unprofessional. I am going on my third month and we are still experiencing air conditioning issues. After several calls to the office and 4 or 5 visits from their maintenance guy — we are still at square one. I was told to turn on my fans… It’s mid summer and hot as heck in Charlotte. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable to want my air conditioning to work. I don’t get it. The property manager Stephanie was kind enough to tell me she’d let me out of my lease… So if you are considering renting here. Don’t unpack, if something doesn’t work, they tell you to go somewhere else.
Ps. They have a new assistant property manager Celine (don’t remember), she actually told me that they were too busy helping the other 400 tenants and that my issue was not an emergency. Poor poor customer service. We are extremely disappointed.

Been living here for a while. Everyone has been real good to me. Salt water pool!!! Never noisy and super nice leasing agents. I had a water issue and they had it fixed straight away, no worries.

We rented in Camden Ballantyne while shopping for a house in South Charlotte. Not a bad property or location. The apartment was clean and the complex is in a convenient area. The staff is attentive, but be careful on one item — they often make verbal promises which they can’t keep. Simple solution — only believe what is in writing in the contract. Otherwise, I would recommend this complex to others.

Extremely rude nasty staff. Maintenance comes inside apartment without notice when nobody is inside. They check our car. When they see our car is not parked at the complex, they come in without notice and permission. Do not feel like home because the staff keep checking on us, and intruding our apartment from time to time.
Office hours 10 am to 7 pm, but nobody at the office at 6 pm when we go there for something.

I’ve been here 3 months. I moved from a house in to a 2bed 2bath townhouse in Ballantyne Camden. We moved for the schools and the commute. 1 child 1dog couple in our 40’s.

Yes there is noise. Children play all the time in this community, the staff is always maintaining the grounds, and there is the occasional party. It’s called LIFE. Life happens at Camden and so far so good for us.

Maybe it’s because we moved from a luxury building but this place was SO disappointing. Got to our apartment and it was filthy — not even vacuumed and dirty bathtubs. The a/​c didn’t work (and it was HOT out) and neither did the washer/​dryer. Just what you want after days of travel to get there in the middle of the summer. The apartment was at the upper end of their rentals but had roach and drain fly problems (had never even heard of them before!). Bugs painted over like last days of pompeii… cobwebs covered in paint and petrified paint spiders. Have some pride and clean first. Everything very cheaply done. Charged heaps of fees and outrageous bills after moving out. Could never get an accurate answer from our leasing person BG — everything she told us was wrong and had to be argued. Save yourself the hassle — there are heaps of other places that are better. We could NOT move out fast enough — so happy to be done with them!

Renters beware! Noise level is off the charts!

Oh man. We just left this place to move into our home. I hate to complain… but I guess I’m still going to.
First of all, their office doesn’t open until 10am
They deliver notices such as «please secure all pets — air vents to be installed tomorrow» (at an undisclosed time) the day before… I guess they don’t care about people who work or have plans for that matter
We moved into an «updated apartment» and had problems with several of our large appliances… I almost hated to report it, because several maintenance people (very nice, but still…) would try to come in unannounced all the time. We have to rascally kitties who could run out and get hit by a car or just get lost, so we were always a bit miffed when they’d enter without forewarning (or even letting us know they had been there for that matter.)
If you sleep later than 8 or 9am, prepare for a rude awakening when the LOUDEST leaf blowers/​industrial fans go on every day right outside your window.
There is a constant ringing noise outside that you can hear inside, leading us to always keep the TV or music on so we didn’t go nuts!
Camden tries hard to connect with it’s residents in other ways, like handing out beers to cars driving into the parking lot (?) and offering things like cute pet contests, free boot camp classes for a limited number of people, and frequent events, so kudos for that (except maybe handing out beer to drivers)
When we did get in touch with the staff, they were nice, but didn’t always follow through with things.
Anyway… good location, maybe not the best service. Feel free to move in if you have no regard for personal privacy.
