Excel Cleaning Service

quick update on my experience with Excel. The owner, Candace Credle, went above and beyond to right a very bad wrong committed by one of her employees. i have found her to be an honest, hardworking and conscientious person and business owner, and her current staff to be the same.

As an update, months after this happened, they called me back a few times and told me they needed to reschedule. They obviously were calling the wrong person, so that is definitely disorganized and unprofessional. Meanwhile, the people they intended to call are probably wondering why they didn’t show up.

I bought 5 cleanings from Groupon. Seemed like a great deal. It was not! Tara is very polite and professional on the phone, however she is obviously VERY unorganized. Does not return phone calls, does not call to say if the cleaning is being rescheduled, and gets the dates mixed up on when the cleanings are happening! But the worst thing is the house WAS NOT CLEAN! Beds were not made, floors had hair and dirt shoved into piles, tables were not wiped off. It was ridiculous. I’m not a picky person by any means, but who «cleans» a house and doesn’t make beds? I was hard pressed to find ANYTHING they did. Gave them two chances, and then called Groupon and got my money back. It is not worth the time I spent picking up my house before their scheduled «cleaning». Horrible experience with this cleaning company.

Sounds funny but I am so glad to see all the bad reviews. Here is how my experience went.
After about a half dozen phone calls and a few emails I attempted to get a refund from groupon. They told me they had to go through the sales person from groupon. Long story short Tara called me (after two weeks of calling and leaving messages) to schedule my cleaning. Same story as everyone else — she had no one available and said she would come herself. Over a four day period she repeatedly called me and referred to me as a different client. Her excuse was that our phone numbers were alike. Quite frankly I am not sure she even knows my name.
She showed up 30 minutes late with her daughter. While I certainly did not mind I found that a bit unprofessional (she had to be about 10 years old).
I have a small condo and it is in good shape so I did not expect the job to take more than 90 minutes. Well, for the time she was there I have no idea what she did. Maybe dust about 25% of what was asked. An entire room was never touched. I asked she change the canister for the vacuum since she did not bring her own equipment. She left the dirty canister on top of my dryer with dust and dirt everywhere. However, I do not believe she vacuumed anywhere.
What ever she used to mop the floors left a sticky residue and I had to redo them all.
I called and left her a message but never received a follow up call. Not surprised because from the initial call she lacked in her professionalism. Needless to say I am not a happy camper.
I do not recommend Excel Cleaning Service to anyone unless you want to re-​clean your home.

I purchased a coupon through Groupon to use the cleaning services of Excel. The coupon is good for 5 appointments of 3 hours cleaning service for each visit. The service provided included cleaning a 2200 SF house which included 2 bathrooms, kitchen, breakfast nook, family room, living room, dining room, bonus room and master bedroom. Two other bedrooms were not included in the cleaning by my choice.

I scheduled the first appointment with Candice (owner) for Thursday August 9^th for 8:30am. I sent Candice a confirmation of the date and time along with a list of rooms to be cleaned in priority order in order to make the most of the three hours of service. At 8:45 I received a phone call from the individiual who would be performing the service to ask me if it was ok to push my appointment back just a bit to 3:30pm! She had been told my appointment was for noon. After speaking with the owner she found someone to come as soon as possible but she showed up at 10:30. The cleaning service provided was fair and the person she sent was very nice and knew of the room priority in order to make the most of the three hours.
I scheduled an additional appointment with Candice for August 24^th for 12:00 — 12:30 and at 08:15 a person shows up at my house because she was told the appointment was for 8:30. I called Candice to ask why it the appointment was yet again wrong. A few hours have gone by and I’ve yet to recieve a return phone call from Candice to get an explanation. I am thoroughly disappointed that basic business function of scheduling appointments cannot be accomplished. Too bad I’ve already invested in the Groupon. If I had not purchased a coupon for 5 visits I would never have even scheduled the second appointment after the first experience with the scheduling.
