I visit this for my eyebrows every month since one year. And today KIMI did my eyebrows which really look weird. She is in a hurry to leave even though there is 15 min for closing time. No one ever did my eyebrows so bad. Better train her more. I can’t goto office with this eyebrows… And will never ever return to this place.

I have been to this place at South Park mall on more than one occasion. They are always super rude and slow. Today I told myself I would give them one more try and guess what I wait 15minutes after being told the wait would be two minutes and had to get up and go because she continued to talk to her friend in the chair. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a professional experience.

I came by this evening for eyebrow threading; the threading session took about 3 minutes for a basic clean up.
Verdict: Mediocre job and service.

I absolutely LOVE Arpita. I used to never come here after one bad brow job, and was driving to Mooresville to get my threading, until I met Arpita. I talked to her, since I work at the mall too, and she gave me her background and I gave it a try. Immediately, I could tell she knew what she was doing. I’ve been having my brows threaded for years now so I know what I like. I won’t have anyone else touch my eyebrows but Arpita and this lady from Mooresville. I’m giving it a 5 stars as long as Arpita continues to work there!

Shilpa is the best. I have no knowledge of anything brow related and she took the time to explain things to me. She even showed me how to improve on the mistake another place made by using products to correct the shape of my brow. She’s quick, friendly and I’m glad to be a new customer! I would say I can’t wait to go back, but this threading thing kind of hurts. lol

My two aunts and I went to Idolize to have our eyebrows waxed by Shilpa. We went on a Friday afternoon when the shop was completely empty. It was just ok. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for ten years and when someone tells me «threading is for cleaning up, not shaping your eyebrow» that lets me know what to expect. True to form, Shilpa cleaned my eyebrows. It was super fast, about a minute and painless. It didn’t look like I had my eyebrows threaded but I honestly didn’t want to have her touch them further. My eyebrows have different shapes and I’ve only had one person who was able to do them properly, so with those odds I didn’t dare go any further.
Now, my aunts were a different story. One of them likes her eyebrows pretty thin, just like the ones featured in this huge poster above the seating area. In spite of my aunt’s clear directive that she wanted her eyebrows like that, we had to ask Shilpa over and over to make them thinner and give them that shape. She seemed reluctant because as she put it, once she takes the hair off it cannot be put on again. My aunt always gets her eyebrows thin as she likes it, so it got annoying after the fourth time of insisting that this is REALLY what she wanted.
My other aunt was also in the chair for a while until she got the achieved look she wanted. It was a lot less painless with her. I did appreciate though that Shilpa was willing to work with her and that she was cautious about doing too much at once.
Overall, I wouldn’t come back, not because it is the worst, but I’d rather check out what else Charlotte has to offer.

Where do I start? My daughter’s graduation is tomorrow so as a treat I told her I would take her to get her brows shaped and cleaned. We went here because we always pass it while shopping in south park mall. First, there is no organization, you walk in and the one attendant doesn’t greet you. You don’t sign in so you have to jump up when she says «next» trying to remember who came in before you. When it was our turn to do her eyebrows she didn’t ask her what she wanted done, I had to stop her and tell her ?
After she finished threading she said «what do you think?» Now, correct me if I’m wrong but that means I tell you what I think right? I told her «the right brow is thicker than the left «she said, no they are the same. I said no, look and pointed to the area where it was clearly still thicker. She then smacked her lips and forcefully pulled her thread to correct my 14year old’s right brow. After she was done, I asked her why she didn’t shape them, give her an arch? She said she can’t? Why are you working at a brow bar if you can’t do arches or shapes? This place is a joke. I could have taken my tweezers at home and did the same thing. What a waste, good thing it was 20% off bc we came on a Tuesday. Never again.

The place overall is super cute and I had a great first time experience. I had Shi’pu thread my eyebrows and it was very painless — not like the other places I have been to! Will be coming back :)

Yet again Idolize doesn’t surprise me in the amazing experience I had. This was the first time being in the South Park location since it’s kiosk days. Don’t get me wrong I loved the work they did then, but it is nice to know you don’t have a bazillion people looking over the wall and staring at you while getting threaded.
The new store is lovely! Just the right space for what is needed. Arpita has always rocked, but to have found out that she is now the manager at this location is super duper YAY!!! She deserves it.
When I’m in the area of SP like yesterday and needed a major threading I know where I’m going.

My experience was very bad. The lady did not honor any of my requests. She did not even ask how I wanted my eyebrows to be shaped. When I asked the lady to clear some stragglers, she retorted that it is my oversight. She did not even ask if it needed any further shaping. Overall very poor experience.

I don’t usually go here to so my eyebrows but I needed to come here for an emergency threading. The lady completely messed up my eyebrows and did not honor my requests. They are closing the southpark mall location soon so it’s not too hard to avoid this idolize bar. My specialist seemed to be in a rush and when I asked her to modify what she did (very politely) she was annoyed and hesitant. Next time I will stick to the eyebrow places I am comfortable with. Long story short I asked to keep my thickness with an arch and she completely thinned them out. Never again.

I was in dire need of an eyebrow cleanup… they were on the verge of looking like a caveman. Thankfully, while shopping in the mall I came across this eyebrow threading kiosk. The process was quick and almost painless.
I’ve had my eyebrows threaded the past few years and will never go back to waxing. Unlike waxing, threading removes the hair by the follicle allowing for longer lasting results.
For only $ 12, I’ll certainly be coming here again! They also provide a stamp card allowing a free eyebrow thread on the 7^th visit.

I think this used to be under another name, and somewhere along the way it changed. No biggie, same place, same service, works for me. I find this place affordable and reliable. No offense, I may not be that vain but eyebrows are kind of important. And I am unfortunate enough to have a mess up incident at a nail-​salon-​wax-​in-​the-​back place years ago. Having to stare at my over-​waxed eyebrows for months and praying to all supreme beings that they would grow back normal was NOT fun. I swore off nail shop wax jobs ever since. This place is my go-​to for as long as I could remember.
Technically threading should be for people with thicker and coarser hair than mine, I heard. But I find it less torturous than hot wax and I don’t walk away with redness at all (great for last min beauty prep before going to somewhere special). $ 12 for solid eyebrows shaping is reasonable (NOTE: 25% off on Mondays and Tuesdays = $ 9). The ladies never said much, can’t say they are the friendliest. But they are quick and efficient, never much of a wait. I am not here to make friends so it is fine by me.
Be warned: it is not totally painless, it is just less painful than hot wax. And you will be asked to hold your brow and eyelid while they thread away. And as mentioned, while you are in the middle of the hall, it’s not like people can stand next to you and stare at you, so you will be fine.
Give it a try if you have never done it.

Quick. And that’s how it should be when the attainment beauty is painful.
It’s in a great location near the food court. It’s in an open kiosk and I just had to tell myself that if I close my eyes, no one could see me if I couldn’t see them. It worked.
I’m usually a waxing type of girl, but since The Brow Bar has been spotted at a few of the Unilocal events, I’ve gotten use to the idea of switching to threading. They got me in and out in a matter of minutes and I was on my way!
They offer eyelash services too… but they said they only last a couple of weeks. Oh if there were only a permanent solution.
All in all, fast and friendly staff and in a convenient location.

I was weary about trying threading… always waxed my eyebrows in the past. But after a girlfriend of mine started doing it I had to try it, and I’m hooked!
The first few times it hurt more than it does now after going… and I noticed that I can go longer in between ‘threadings’.
The girls at the brow bar do a great job, the great thing about threading is they can’t accidentally take off a chunk of your eyebrow– its very precise. My brows always look good after leaving there.
The only downside is that you never know which girl is going to be at the kiosk on any given day– and I go when its convenient for me to get to the mall… other than that no complaints!
The loyalty punch card is great, and 2 days a week its discounted (around $ 9 vs. $ 12)

A few co-​workers of mine mentioned how great threading is and since I am a no-​pluck kind of gal (prefer waxing– but I do my own stragglers), I thought id give it a try.
I think the whole thing lasted all of 3 minutes from chair to out the (door?) ok so no door because its in a kiosk… not sure how I feel about that one but oh well. So I was happy the small amount of pain did not last long.
Gita did a good job– I like my brows. I was definitely squirming a bit since I am use to 1.2.3.ouch.over. and this was more like 1.ouch.2.ouch .you get the idea. Besides a bit of pain I didn’t like that there wasn’t any consultation and the hair was going all over my face during the procedure. I would recommend not wearing make-​up before you go since she made me hold my eyelid down the entire time — odd but maybe this helped her shape them?
Still looking for my perfect eye-​brow artist — but I would let Gita do them again.

Nothing pains me more than to go to a mall on the weekend, especially South Park Mall with their aggressive kiosk employees, but I had a Groupon for a eyebrow threading sesh and some caterpillars sitting above my eyes so game on. I thought it would be packed being a Saturday afternoon and all but only had to wait five minutes and then and few threads later – a new me with a hint of an eyebrow arch! Mad props to the threading lady who didn’t wince when she saw the mass furriness that my eyebrows have become in the past month and for being so efficient. This is one of the cheaper places I have found in Charlotte and love threading because it’s not painful at all. As others have said, you sit there while others pass you by but they have a small division so you’re not there right in the open.
Oh yeah, they have a punch card, I love any place that rewards you for visits. Men and women alike should take their furry features to Brow Bar for a quick fix!

Well … on the plus side — it didn’t hurt as much as I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, its wasn’t like snuggling with kitties but it wasn’t torture, either. I was in and out in less than ten minutes with another customer in the chair before me. The woman was very nice and made sure I was satsfied before I left the chair — honestly, it’s the best my brows have ever looked.
Now for the down side: I printed off a coupon for 20% off since it was my first visit. When I presented it, she said that it was for the other location … even though that was not in print anywhere on the coupon or on the site. I mean, its not like $ 12 dollars will break my bank but (*side note: coming from a retail background I HATE when people say this) its the principle of it! Also, my brows did not stay for the 2 – 4 weeks as advertised — I started seeing stragglers after 3 days.

Why 4 stars you say? Well, let’s count them off:
1 star for being quick — When I walked up there was a girl in the chair. I did not wait more than a few minutes. Once I did sit down, I was in and out in less than ten minutes.
A second star for being decently priced — $ 12 plus tip for an eyebrow shaping is comparable to what I was used to paying for a wax at a chain salon, so complain I shall not. She also made sure to ask if I had a loyalty card, and give me one when i didn’t. Loyalty cards, people. They work.
A third for actually being able to make something of the mess that was my eyebrow (and no that is not a typo, it had gotten that bad) — All branches of my family tree run throught hairy lineage. On top of that, I am super lazy about girly grooming things. So the fact that the poor woman working at brow bar could make me look like an actual female human being… that’s saying something.
The fourth star is for NOT saying what every eyebrow waxer has said to me for years upon years upon years. «Jeez, what is all this! You really need to come in more often. It’s only a few dollars!» Do not scold me for my grooming. I am an adult and a paying one at that. The Brow Bar employee I had did no such scolding and was very professional. That’s big with me.
But why not a fifth star you might ask.
Because it is a hassle to go to SouthPark. And because I’m not crazy about having my face groomed right out in the middle of a major mall plaza. But both of those are silly reasons that should only add up to one star at most.

Yes indeed, I echo Tonya P’s description of her brows, mine are also caterpillars. And while I reach for the tweezers almost nightly, I really, and I mean really appreciate someone shaping them for me. But my sissy little skin breaks out every single time I put wax anywhere on my face. Thus, my search for a talented threader.
I had read Tonya’s review a few weeks back and immediately book marked The Brow Bar. My trip to South Park this weekend would not be complete without a stop here and I was just delighted with the experience. Did it hurt? Sure, for about three minutes of pinching, etc. Did I tear up? Yep, I mean comon’ I expected it — someone is yanking your eyebrow hair out of its follicles. But, man oh man, it was worth it. After the short stint of pinching my eyebrows look super clean and shaped! No wax (and subsequent breakouts) required!
If you’re looking for a relaxing spa experience, this isn’t for you. It’s in the middle of South Park (near Macy’s) with tons ‘o peeps walkin’ around. It didn’t bother me, however, I just wanted my Kahlos taken care of.
I believe the «shaper’s» name is Gita and she was kind enough to give me 25% off because her credit card machine was down. I like you Gita… and I like your brow style…

$$@#!!&*($$$!!! Owwwww, that hurt… WAHHHHH! I needed my eyebrows shaped badly, so I walk up to the little kisok in South Park mall, in front of Teavana, ask the brow lady to wax my eyebrows. She said they only do threading. I thought threading was for dark coarse hair, she said she could do it. What have I got to loose? Maybe she could tame these caterpillars. I get in the chair and she starts going at it. Some places hurt more than others, but it goes by really fast.
She asked did I want to do my lip, I let her even though I don’t have any hair on my lip, only men have mustaches. Talk about owie zowie. But now my little walrus whiskers are gone. I was thinking anyone needing a little therapy, should go get threaded, you can go through all kinds of emotions in a 5 minute time. Wonder, amazment, pain, (even shed a few tears) and elation when it’s over. Man, after that I deserve a Chick-​fil-​a sweet tea. Good thing it’s near the food court.
