I came to the salon after seeing one of their stylist’s work on Instagram, Shaniqua. Now let me preface this by saying I am super duper picky about my hair and most women would agree, that when yo find the right stylist you hang on for dear life because that relationship is almost sacred… Shaniqua had me at hello… Well hello and SeVERAL text messages. She was happy to answer all of my questions (and I had a lot of them!) told me exactly how to prepare for the appointment and history was made. Shaniqua made me feel confident that she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it, which was tough because I had never gotten crotchet braids before and as I said before, I’m picky.
One big plus was that the salon was pretty close to my home, which is great, typical salon décor and it’s near a good Vietnamese restaurant! I was greeted at the front desk by a pleasant your lady and Shaniqua saw me right away (wow on time appointment in a hair salon… a girl could get use to this!) All the ladies working in the salon were pleasantly chatting and laughing, making for a very welcoming salon. Shaniqua answered my questions throughout the service and I was THRILLED with my hair, the first time. I have been back 4 times since and Shaniqua has never let me down, always indulges my million questions and constant mirror checks and I enjoy talking with her as well as the other ladies in the salon. Keep up the amazing work!

I was referred by a friend to Shaniqua for crochet braids. I sent shaniqua a picture of the style I was looking for (twice) and asked her what type of hair I would need to purchase to achieve that look. She told me several times to purchase Curlkalon hair which is very curly and expensive precurled hair. The hair didn’t look anything like the picture at all. I wanted waves not curls that look like Shirley temple. Shaniqua did nothing to make me happier with my hair style. I asked if she would redo it and she tried to convince me that the curls would eventually drop. Now only a week later, the curls haven’t dropped and the knots are coming loose. Customer service and satisfaction is huge in the business of cosmetology and it just seems that shaniqua didn’t care that I was disappointed. I realized she wanted me to purchase Curlkalon hair because they have a stylist referral program. Glad I didn’t use her link. Also, Shaniqua kept saying that she doesn’t use Marley hair as it takes too long, however she still has it listed on her site. She should have just told me she couldn’t perform the style I wanted and referred me to someone else. I Wouldn’t book again. I paid over $ 180 left a great tip and I’m totally unsatisfied with my hair.

I just moved to the Charlotte area and was in need of a stylist who specialized in natural hair care. Aujanay happened to send me a friend request on Facebook one day so I thought to myself «why not give her a try» and I couldn’t be more happier with my decision. Aujanay is a beautiful person inside and out, she is very sweet and very professional and I look forward to having her as my stylist. I would highly recommend her.
