Kerry’s Tree Service

We just used Kerry’s Tree Service on our whole property (over 50 trees and lots of bushes too) and were so pleased with the work that they did. My husband was not fully on board with me using a company to do the work due to the cost yet after the job was completed, he thanked me for hiring them! He was impressed by the quality of the work, their respect for our property and the fact that the entire job was completed in one day. We had them eliminate one large ficus tree entirely and I was blown away that you cannot tell there was a tree there! Thanks to Corey and the entire crew! You are the best!

Excellent from the start. I chose Kerry’s Tree Service based on the reviews here, visiting their website and talking to Mike and Susan on the phone. Mike came by and examined my trees with a recommendation for service. One dead Luquidamber tree and a Yucca tree that had probably not been trimmed in twenty years.
I spoke with Susan about logistics, my neighbor has a toddler who sleeps until 7:30am and naps around 3pm. Susan politely took these concerns into consideration when scheduling the service.
Tony and his crew showed up promptly at 7:30am and we walked through the work that would be done.
Mike came to the worksite some time later to follow up and see that I was completely satisfied with the work going on. The crew were very polite and hustled to get wrapped up by 11:30am. They even pulled my pool cover off, cleaned the leaves off and rolled it up for me while one of the guys grabbed the pool net and fished all the leaves out of the pool. Nice touch
I am very happy with the work they did for me, their great customer service and I also learned a few details about the other trees in my backyard.
I will definitely be calling on them in the future!

The entire staff was professional and efficient. Most importantly they let me know what time they would be starting so I could let my dogs outside instead of having to leave them locked inside for countless hours. They provided a cover for the pool. A truly caring group of individuals.

We have used Kerry’s a number of times and are always happy, very happy with the result. First of all, they know what they do. This company knows how to trim a tree professionally. It always looks absolutely fantastic.
Secondly, you don’t have to worry about your plants and other vegetation. They cover plants and make sure that nothing is damaged. Perfect. Our yard is not your usual yard. We don’t have grass but many plants currently in bloom. We were a bit concerned about potential damage, especially those delicate ones, but nothing, absolutely nothing was damaged. I highly recommend Kerry’s. You definitely get what you pay for.

Spoke to five different tree service companies. Went with Kerry’s since they have three Arborists so I felt like they would know what they were doing. Their price was about $ 700 less than competitors (it was a big job so they gave a discount). Everything went smoothly. Trees look great and they shredded a large pile of debris for me as well. Will use again and have recommended to friends already.

Kerry’s came to trim our neighbor’s bamboo, which grew so high it was blocking our rooftop solar panels. They showed up when they said they would — had a crack team of über-​professionals — and had the job done in a jiffy. They cleaned up every last fallen leaf/​branch, were courteous and conscientious — I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Scott and his team are very professional and know exactly what is best for your trees. I’ve used them several times. They had to remove a large, nearly dead cedar tree, which they did with the upmost care. They recently trimmed and shaped my 100-​year old one tree. I can now see blue sky through its canopy and the tree looks magnificent!!! I highly recommend Kerry’s Tree Service!!!

Have used Kerrys Tree Service several times but have never been there to see the work done as I was at work myself. They showed up in the afternoon as mentioned in a phone call two days earlier. Modern equipment and a crew organized and ready to work, trimmed, chopped up the old branches and shaped two trees and left the street cleaner than when they came.

I’ve used kerry’s tree service twice. Last june they came by and trimmed my gigantic walnut tree and removed 9 stumps along my fence line. They came back yesterday to trim down some trees on the other fence line. They showed up each time at 7am with a huge crew and multiple trucks. Both visits were very professional. They were considerate of my property and of my neighbors during the process and during cleaning up. They finished quicker than I would of expected and have made my backyard great again! Scott is awesome! He has a lot of knowledge about this business and is always eager to help with any questions! Thank you all for a great job. I’ll call again!

I hired Kerry’s Tree service to trim a large tree and a smaller one in the backyard. I figured they’d do that and be out but they went above and beyond and trimmed all the little bushes under the tree and left the large tree looking awesome. I was really concerned because the palm tree above it was dropping alot of palm fronds so imagine this canopy of palm fronds 30 feet high just ready to fall down and hit somebody, like my girlfriend or one of my tenants or last but not least, me ! Now I feel way better and when I walk down the walkway to my place I can’t help but look up and feel good about my decision to hire Kerry’s Tree service. Mike was the estimator and he’s a class act. Hats off to Mike and his crew.

We’ve used Kerry’s Tree Service several times over the years, from removal of some large eucalyptus trees to periodic pruning of ornamental trees. Their crew always does a first rate job, cleans up thoroughly and they are sensitive to neighbor’s concerns. Their certified arborist is very professional and qualified. A premium service at competitive prices. Now that’s tough to beat!

Price can competitive and the job was done as expected, however:
1– I have nothing against lunch breaks, but when the crew decided to take theirs laying down and having an hour long picnic in my neighbour’s lawn, without their knowledge or consent, well it is not very nice, and definitely not very professional.
2– Word of advice, make sure you ask if they take credit cards. After receiving the invoice I was told they didn’t, then the owner said they would. Today I received a call telling me they were finally able to take credit cards, so I returned the call and the same nice lady that left the message immediately said they don’t take credit cards… but she took mine anyway. Perhaps they are in the process of implementing it? I don’t know, but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt in the rating and hopefully a big step in the right direction.

I have used there services 3 – 4 times over the past few years. They removed a very large tree that was only a foot away from the garage. It was amazing how they could do that without causing and damage to the building they are true masters of their craft.
Although I hate the way any tree looks when it’s first trimmed I have to admit that afterwards it grew back looking much better than before. They took the time to explain how important it was to keep the trees.

Unfortunately we had some trees on our property that had died. We contacted Kerry’s got a very reasonable quote and had the work done. They were fast, clean, and extremely courteous. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had an unusually challenging situation with two oak trees overhanging my house, one of which was especially in danger of potentially falling according to several arborists that I consulted, as well as the L. A. county arborist who issued me the necessary oak tree permit. So I was concerned not only about trying to create a safer situation for my house, but also attempting to stabilize the trees in order to extend their lifespans (they’re very large and ancient). I got several bids, and I was satisfied not only with the competitive pricing from Kerry’s Tree Service, but also with the quality and professionalism of the work. The initial estimate meeting was timely and the proposal was e-​mailed to me immediately; they were willing to make some adjustments in order to lower the cost, and on the scheduled day the crew arrived promptly and worked efficiently and skillfully to complete the job. Overall, it was a great experience, and I feel the health of the trees benefited (as well as the security and safety of my house beneath them!). I would definitely recommend this company.

I will state, right from the beginning, that the service the workers gave when removing our trees was very good. The communication from the office was not up to the same level. While they did confirm our appointment for service, there was NEVER any mention of payment and HOW we could pay. I will say that I pay for almost nothing with cash or check (who pays with checks anymore anyway) and use credit cards for almost everything. I come to find out that I am unable to pay with my card and need to use cash or check. I find this, in a day and age where everything is automated, quite unfortunate and unappealing. Had I known prior, I would most definitely have used another of the companies I got estimates from. Again, this is not about servicing the trees. This is about an antiquated way of being able to pay.

Similar experience to C.S. — they were parked in front of our gate, the only entrance for our front door from 8am to 4pm. We had company coming at 3 so my wife asked them to move then (it’s also illegal to park on that side of the street anytime, and the other side was empty).
Instead of moving, he just snotted off to her, «too bad, we are working here.»
Too bad, I am giving you one star here.

Kerry’s Tree Service has performed excellent work when I have hired them on more than one occasion. Each time, I’ve found Kerry’s team to be professional… from the time of creating the estimate and providing suggestions, through cleaning up when completing a job.
Kerry’s has pruned and shaped trees for me. Kerry’s has also removed dead shrubs and trees completely, at my request. They use a stump grinder, after removal, to ensure that plants or trees can be planted later in the same location.
Healthy, shapely trees are a boon to the community and I’m grateful to be able to call upon capable Kerry’s for maintenance needs. highly recommend this experienced, conscientious company.

They have worked on a big tree in our front yard two different times now and have done a great job. Not one of the hack jobs offered by our local gardeners. And they are not significantly more expensive than the guys who don’t know what they’re doing. We were very happy with them and they were very responsive to our requests and cleaned up and left a minimal footprint while they were here. We’ll be using them again!
PS: The guy who left the bad review here wasn’t — as far as the post indicates — even a customer of Kerry’s. I can tell you that we live next to Notre Dame High School and they managed to not impede traffic at all. So, if the incident happened as he says, it was a lesson learned.
Again, no bad marks for the service itself from any of us! Use Kerry’s!
