The DJ does not listen to you on Tuesday nights. He only plays rap music. He doesn’t listen to his audience and seems very young. He must know someone who gave him the job

This is one of many visits and decided to write a review. In general we always get great food here and great service. Tonight was just the same. We were greeted very friendly considering the person before us yelled at her quite vehemently about the table they set up for his party of nine. Not sure what the problem was but he was quite rude. Our server took our order and she was quite pleasant. About 2 minutes after our drinks came our food appeared at our table. It was a nice surprise. Our order was correct and delicious. We both ordered a combo meal with baby back ribs. The ribs were meaty and tender. I had pulled pork was great and i used one of the 4 sauces that they provide on the table. I chose the green bottle. Sweet and tangy not spicy. My husband chose the smoked turkey tender and juicy. We were stuffed so we opted for no dessert maybe next time.

For a chain restaurant this establishment is good. The barbecue beans are some of the best I’ve ever had. The brisket sandwich is very tasty. Amount of brisket on the meager side in my opinion.

Okay, the food is a touch expensive for what you get. The service is slow and somewhat indifferent. The ambient music is often torturous. However, they are open until 2am every night and they might have the best deal in cheap beer in Cheektowaga(PBR16oz cans for $ 1.95 any time any day). Plus, their smoked wings and fried pickles are pretty great. So, I continue to come back over and over and feel kinda meh about it.

I’ve been here several times over the years. For a chain BBQ restaurant, it’s almost as good as it gets. The pulled pork sandwich I had could have been a tad bigger, and the Carolina sauce tastier, but otherwise I thought everything tasted delicious. Try the Buffalo Chicken dip, it’s not 100% authentic, but it comes close!

We were want GOODBBQ and decided to try Smokey Bones… Sorry we did. The food wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t great. We won’t go back nor will we recommend Smokey Bones. Good BBQ is not far away, I would suggest Famous Dave’s, now that’s some good eats!(I have no association with Famous Dave’s other than that I really like their BBQ)

I am in town on business and stopped here for dinner. I have not had ribs for a long time and was in the mood for some. I had what I think was called double trouble. One set of ribs was excellent and the other was good. A pretty good selection of beer as well. Fries that came with the ribs were excellent. And then I had their homemade donuts for dessert which came with two dipping sauces raspberry and chocolate. The donuts are good alone or with each of the dips.

Cannot believe this place is in business. I wish I would have taken pictures of our food. Overall experience 0 stars! We should have gone to famous Dave’s !

For those who don’t leave Buffalo often, Smokey Bones is a large chain that’s mostly in the Great Lakes along the East Coast. This location is their northern most and they are scattered down towards Orlando(where there’s a few). They offer average BBQ and unfortunately this is one of the poorer locations. I’ve been here twice and the BBQ isn’t near as good at some of the Southern locations in Florida and Tennessee. But, there is value here, namely the fact that there’s plenty of TVs to watch sporting events and it stays open late. However, within 30 minutes of Buffalo there’s Brickyard BBQ(in Lewiston) and Dinosaur(downtown) which makes it tough to decide to come to Smokey Bones. Why come here over the others? I wouldn’t. On the other hand, if you have kids or older folks, who aren’t foodies, this location will serve you well. Smokey Bones does dish out good portions and average food for a fair price. It’s almost at par with Famous Daves(another chain), but well below Brickyard and Dinosaur, well below. You’re best bet when coming here is two order a plate. This enables you to try two or three meets, which provides a better sampling of the food. When I cruise through(which is normally only late at night when other places are closed) I order turkey, pulled pork and brisket, with a side of veggies and mash potatoes and gravy. Otherwise, their burgers might be the best thing on the menu or the skillet of cornbread, which is a cross between cornbread and cake!

The décor had a nice BBQ picnic theme to it. The food was alright. Well paced service. What gave it 3 stars in my book was the price for its quality and quantity.

I came here with my family based on the positive reviews of my fellow Unilocalers. I don’t what they were thinking of when writing they were writing the review. Our food took 35 minutes to come. With that much time, you should expect the food to be good. Well it wasn’t. Our burgers were burnt and the pasta didn’t have enough sauce and was also cold. Thankfully, the manager came and gave us the meal for free. I dont recommend coming here. Not satisfied :(

What a great place! I’m a road trip and found this place and decided to stop! Our server was fantastic she was a blonde but i never got her name. Drinks where kept full, food was fast. The manager even stopped by and asked how the food was. Great place!

Can’t go wrong with a burger, they’re pretty exceptional for a commercial restaurant. The fries are good, both regular and sweet potato. Cocktail selection is awesome, a wide variety of various cocktails. Something for everybody. Also…reach for the Mustard-BBQ Sauce(The one in the Yellow bottle) it will make the gum under the table taste heavenly.

We had an awful experience. Our food was raw and cold. Service was so slow. Don’t go here.

I have to say… it was the worst BBQ we have EVER had. I would never suggest this to anyone. The restaurant is beautiful and rustic looking but it was so bad that I had to return my dish not once but twice and then ordered something else and told them to bag it because my wife and I were leaving!!! There was a table that also left right next to us. I also waited almost a hour for my dinner that was replaced TWICE! The service was not satisfactory at all. The replacement dinner that I was sent home with me was also terrible and I threw it in the garbage! I am a foodie and I know good food and service. Both the food and service was terrible. I again.. do not suggest smokey bone’s restaurant. It was semi pricey and the food is terrible!!! My wife did not like her meal also and we ended up eating pizza hours later…

I went for lunch and service was slow. «Pimped my burger» and it was very good. Waitress was very attentive and would definitely go back

Stopped in for lunch with the hubby, no complaints here I had rib & chicken combo every thing was cooked just right. My husband had the ribeye he thought the potatoe that came with it was a little small but over all the food was good. And our waitress was great

Hailey busted her tail tonight making everyone happy. Great waitress. Other staff and mgt equally attentive. It really is great to see folks enjoy waiting tables. Ambience is quiet enough to enjoy your meal without earplugs needed at most chains. Menu is robust. I started with a Pinot noir which was decent and only $ 7. Prices overall very reasonable. I then had 1⁄3 rack dry rub ribs. Tasted ok but they were slathered in a sweet sauce so why call it dry rub? They were out if baked potatoes so I settled for fries and some butter drowned broccoli. Right size portions at 4 ribs and generous veggies. finished with the bag of donuts. 4 hot with cinnamon but coating was too much and chocolate sauce was cold and bleh. Raspberry sauce ok. Good place for solid predictable.

Seated right away in the bar area where I could view 3 sporting events simultaneously(guys are happy when they can see TV’s). Server suggested two different types of beers. I had both and were awesome. Appetizer and our main courses were very good as well. I can’t wait to go back here. In a nutshell: service, my beers, girlfriends summer cocktail and our food deserve a 5STAR rating! See you soon!
