Chelan Parasail & Watersports

Our 1973 Bell Boy ran outta gas right in the middle of the lake today. The owner Bill was kind enough to run a couple gallons of gas out on his jet ski and really saved our day. Nice folks for sure; we’ll be stopping in to see them again before long.

We had a really bad experience with this place. My husband and his friends rented 3 jet skis for an hour, had an appointment set for 3 pm. They didn’t get to go out on the water until 4:15. Waited on the dock for over an hour with no updates (they had to keep checking in and were told it would be ‘soon’). At the end of the hour, they were offered a refund, but at that point they just wanted to get on the water. One of my friends was on the water for 15 minutes when he fell off. The key that THEY attached to his vest popped off. He was towed back and not allowed to go back out AND charged him $ 54 for the key and $ 7 for gas. So his 15 minute rental cost him $ 131. It then took about an hour to get them all checked out, they didn’t get to leave until after 6 pm. They charged one of my friends cards twice for the $ 500 deposit and he didn’t find out until he checked his bank account (because they don’t give receipts for deposit refunds). The worst part is how unprofessional the staff was. One of the employees made a comment to my husband and friends that it was nice to ‘finally have customers who speak English’. The accountant I talked to on the phone the next day was very nice and understanding, however I never got a call back from the manager/​owner for explanation (left one voice mail and one message with accountant). Really disappointed and would not recommend this place when renting jet skis.

Eric and his deckhand were super nice, and the experience was fun! Great service, when the weather was going to be a bit questionable they called the day before in advance to see about rescheduling until another day. The staff clearly have been doing this, and I felt very safe flying. Rates are quite affordable, and would recommend them.

They charge full payment at reservation and tell you it’s refundable, but they actually have a pre-​pay-​and-​non-​refundable-​whatsoever policy.
They ask for FULL payment when you book a boat, and tell you it’s refundable if you call 48 hours prior to arrival. However they were lying through their teeth. I just called and spoke with the manager, and was told that they just don’t do ANY refunds. Not even if there’s 25k+ acres of forest fire nearby. Not even if they rented it out eventually.
I don’t know why I trusted them with full payment or trusted their words for refunding me. Looks like I just threw $ 500 in the water because I don’t want to visit a lake under smoke of forest fire.

These guys are great and the price was very affordable; a real home run. My husband and I had parasailed before in Maui, and I wanted my 13 year old to experience this as well.
The guys were very polite, professional and safe. They explained everything clearly and allowed time for us to ask questions before taking off. The experience was terrific, and the price was so good I’ll definitely be back!

Epic adventure with our daughter who really wanted to parasail for the first time. The staff was very welcoming and the procedure for the briefing was precise, practiced and very easy to understand. Chris and Dalton were very helpful and explained everything perfectly. We had such a spectacular adventure! Thank you so much!

This place is terrible. We reserved a boat for 18 and three jet ski for eight hours before we arrived and we paid everything already. When we arrived they told us they rent out all the jet ski already and there won’t be any jet ski available until four. We booked the jet ski from 11 – 7.We were upset but we didn’t say a thing cuz we still have the boat. So we decided to drive the boat first and wait till four for the jet ski. None of us have any experience of boating but they barely spend any time teaching us how to drive the boat. After twenty minute on the water, the boat lost power and we ended up floating to the restricted zone. The employee who works for the other rental place next door came to help us and told us there’s something wrong with this boat and helped us while our original rental place were just standing there on the shore. We didn’t do any damage to the boat, we didn’t even argue with them or show them any attitude ;however, after this incident, they terminated our rental agreement but still charge us for eight hours, although, we’ve only been out for 20 minutes. We ended up going to the other rental place next door which is cheaper, have much better service and who helped us while our previous boat have problem. For people who is wondering where to rent jet ski and other water activities just save your time and money and go to the Aqua park next door.

We had a reservation at 5pm. We showed up at 4:40 and they told us they had boat problems and to come back at 6 – 6:15pm. I called them again at 5:40 to make sure our reservation would be honored and I get a bitchy old lady saying it’s not her fault that the boat had problems, she wouldn’t give me a time to come in to go up in the air, she said «not tomorrow and not anytime before 7pm today» and pretty much that there was nothing she can do. WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING A RESERVATION??? If you told me earlier I could’ve made a reservation with someone else but due to your delayed response I am unable to do so now. THANKS BUT NO THANKS. MAKE SURE YOUR RESERVATION IS GOING TO BE HONORED BEFORE SHOWING UP. ZERO stars for the rudeness and unprofessionalism.

I had a chance to go this week (Mid September 2014) with some friends and our kids. We were able to get set up with short notice, on a Monday in the off season and were able to go within hours of calling for a reservation.
Good:
Staff was friendly and prompt. Got us up into the Parasail in no time. At the end of the parasail ride, it became apparent that my son had moved around so he was hanging from the harness and he was a little embarrassed that he had started to cry. They told him a great story how some of the football players from the local Division 1 university had come out and were horsing around and run into the same issue and they weren’t able to make it through the entire trip without having to get pulled down. They told him he was tougher than some of these big football players they see sometimes. They said exactly what my son needed to hear to feel better and I don’t think anything I could have said would have made him feel better.
They also offer an early bird special rate for parasailing, discounts on rentals if you do parasailing, boat rentals and jet ski rentals.
I would definitely go back and would recommend it to al my friends

Took three 11 – 13 year old boys out for a parasail. Crew was great, paperwork was a breeze. Two dads rode on the boat — beautiful day and a memorable trip for all. Thanks!

Following an exhilarating ride through the air with Chelan Parasail and Watersports, I am please to recommend them to others. They were friendly and knowledgable. My family and I had a great experience with them.

I’ve ‘flown’ with this company many times throughout the years, twice this summer alone! They make the experience so comfortable and fun that I can’t imagine not going back. The ownership works there tails off and it shows. I highly recommend this local company to fly with. They have been doing it for over a decade now and the experience is one you’ll never forget!

On a recent trip to Lake Chelan I decided to treat my two grown children to parasailing. I looked in the local paper and found Chelan Parasail. I called and spoke to a young woman and scheduled an appointment for the next day. A few hours later I received a call pushing the appointment out a day. The day of the event– I called in just to make sure we were ready to go. An older woman (who sounded very flustered and confused) told me that they were going to have to delay us again. She was apologetic and said that she knew it looked bad. I told her that I was quickly losing confidence in their operation. They offered me a 10% discount. When the time finally did come– we arrived to find a small office crammed with people and full of utter chaos. There were two younger women at the counter, a lot of noise, paper shuffling and it was pure confusion. We did not receive any type of greeting or instruction and were left to sort out the way it all worked on our own. I was on the brink of canceling– but my children said they wanted to go through with it. The parasailing itself went off pretty well. The technician seemed to know his stuff and did a good job (pretty sure he is the owner.) But the children reported a definite lack of communication and no safety instruction even there. Points off for serious disorganization in the office, lack of customer service and safety instruction. The owner looked frazzled and over burdened.
