I had my makeup done here by Joel. He was very personable, took his time, and really listened to what I wanted done. I would highly recommend him.

After trying numerous nail salons in the area and clipping coupons for mani-​pedi specials, I decided to see if there was an advantage to going to a top notch salon for a pedicure.
Boy was I surprised, at LCRJ salon I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist (Michelle) who escorted me to the Spa area. Josephine, the resident nail maven, did an amazing job on my pedicure… complete with a foot massage and advice on foot care. The old adage «you get what you pay for’ is in full effect at Louis Christian. I will not return to the typical nail salons again. Paying for great spa service and not feeling rushed is priceless!!! Treat your feet!

If anyone needs a hair dresser who puts the time, effort, and precision into their clients hair cut, I would strongly suggest seeing Danielle M. She is such a talented hair dresser who stays up to date with the latest hair trends. She will also be honest & tell you what the most practical hair cut you should be getting; she really takes into account your hair texture and hair girth! She is also very personable and funny!
I showed her pictures of a Julianne Hough haircut that I have been dying to get and she was able to replicate it exactly how I described. All in all, I had a very positive experience at this salon and will definitely be making my next appointment with Danielle.

I came here to get my hair done fro my cousin’s wedding. We all got up-do’s and they all turned out beautiful! Monica did a wonderful job styling my hair and allowed me to tell her exactly how I wanted it to turn out :)

Keeping this short — I found this salon through instagram and decided to make an appointment with a particular stylist. Wrote an honest review about my overall less than satisfying experience from when I walked in to when I left — didn’t mention names. The stylist contacted me after I made another appointment 6 months later and asked me to take it down — I made another appointment because I figured I’d give her and the salon another shot. I agreed to take it down. Afterwards, I got a call from a manager stating my appointment was cancelled and the stylist didn’t want to service me. Had a conversation via text with the stylist to find out that she is okay with not being a woman of her word (cancels after telling me she wants to make sure I’m happy this time).
My feelings are that the staff is very rude and unprofessional. Just because the instagram pictures look nice, does not mean the stylist necessarily is and it’s about overall experience when you are paying hundreds of dollars at a salon. At the end of the day, I feel as though she probably was looking to cancel with me the entire time but wanted to be nice to me initially just to get me to take my review down. shame on you!

After finding one of the stylists instagram, I was amazed at the work she had done for her clients. I have always had a tough time finding someone that could color my dark brown hair to a nice bright blonde. After viewing the pictures on her profile, I was sure that she would be able to help me get the results that I wanted. I even saved a few of the photos of clients she had done so that she would know exactly what I wanted.
Here is my experience:
I scheduled my appointment three weeks prior and got the exact date and time I wanted. The receptionist that scheduled my appointment was pleasant enough. She took all of my information and I even received a confirmation call the day before my appointment which was helpful.
I arrived on time for my appointment at 9:30am on Friday 6÷27÷14. I was suppose to be her first client that morning. I was escorted to my stylist Wanda’s area, only to be told that I could take a seat on the other side of the wall on a bench because she was still in the process of applying extensions on her assistants hair. She came back to get me around 10am and we got started. I showed her the pictures I had saved of hair she had done on other clients and she said she had no problem doing that. My hair was a golden blonde on the top with four chunks of brown that I hated, and the underneath part of my hair was black. She told me that she didn’t like the black and that it didn’t make sense to her. I had always liked it and never saw an issue with it, but she talked me into lightening it anyway.
She took me into the hair washing station and started lightening the underneath. An assistant washed that out and I was escorted back to Wanda’s chair where she was foiling someone else’s hair. Again, I was told to sit on the bench on the other side of the wall.
After waiting a half hour for her to finish, she took me back and started on the blonde portion. My hair was washed by yet ANOTHER assistant and I went back to Wanda to see that she had another client in her seat. I had not scheduled a blow-​out because it costs almost $ 50 at this salon so she blow-​dried the front to let me see the color. Because of the dim lighting in the salon, I couldn’t tell that she didn’t even bother to color my roots and about an inch from my roots, the blonde was actually yellow. I only saw this because I walked out to my car and looked closer. The underneath part was RED and not the chocolate brown color we discussed. She also put two fat chunks of dark brown on either side of my head which I hated. I have no idea how she thought that looked anything like the picture I showed her. I walked back in and complained to a receptionist which found his manager. The manager took one look at my hair and said she would go talk to Wanda. She came back and told me Wanda refused to fix my hair and wouldn’t do my hair again in the future. I paid $ 310 and had given her a $ 60 tip for her to ruin my hair. The manager told me she would give me back $ 150. I asked her what I was suppose to do since no one would fix my hair and she said to wait a month and go to another salon to have them fix it! So all in all I spent 5 hours there and paid $ 220 for someone to make my hair look absolutely horrible.
I would NEVER recommend this salon to ANYONE. Horrible management and a stylist that thinks she is awesome at her job when she clearly isn’t. I can not express this enough. DO NOT GO TO WANDA MORA. I spent another $ 200 for another stylist to fix my hair. I tried getting all of my money back but a manager Lois told me that the owners were nice enough to give me some of my money back and I should be grateful for that! I told her I would be writing reviews everywhere I possibly could and she told me that I shouldn’t use the name of the salon in the review! Laughable. All in all, horrible experience that I do not wish upon anyone. Steer clear of Louis Christian Wayne Robert Salon and Spa.
UPDATE: After my facebook post went viral and was shared 190 times, I received a call back from one of the owners Robert who agreed to refund me my money if I took the post down. He was very nice when I arrived and apologized for my experience at the salon. However, Wanda decided to contact me via Instagram on an account specifically made to contact me, and told me that I need what I did was slander and she is going to take legal action. Maybe if she hadn’t done a terrible job and refused to fix it, I wouldn’t have had to post things online. Just a warning to anyone that deals with her.

Edit: this link no longer works because my friend took it down to please the salon and get her refund back. I will keep my review because I was witness to such a terrible dye job and extremely immature posts on instagram from the stylist who did her hair. See Alexis B’s review for the whole story.
Edit 2: The stylist, Wanda Mora, is apparently not with the salon anymore. However, I do not believe the salon management handled this situation as a business should, so again, I will keep this review up.

I give the services and the stylists 5 STARS.
The front desk/​appointment people are the WORST.
They cannot seem to get time and dates right. Wish there was a way to improve this.

Eh — in my opinion, this place is just okay. I do believe there are better salons and spas out there to enjoy. This place used to be big years ago, but it needs a facelift and a major remodel as the exterior and interior is looking a bit shabby. I really wouldn’t go back to this place — especially for a pedicure. They are overpriced for the amount of time and attention most of the techs give — hopefully they can improve for the future.

I have to agree with many of the people on this website. I just moved to the area and was very excited that I found a place that does pink and white acrylic fills. First, I made the appointment to get my pinks AND whites refilled. When I got to the appointment, the girl doing my nails said that the receptionist didn’t tell her she was refilling the whites and she didn’t have her drill bits in order to refill the white. When I told her that my old nail stylist used to just file them by hand without using a drill, she basically scoffed at me, and told me that the receptionist did not book her enough time to do this. She offered no suggestions, no help, and it really seemed like she could care less. I went to the receptionists and asked to speak to a manager. The owner came and talked to me, and did seem pretty concerned about my experience there. He then told me to sit down, and a few minutes later brought the receptionist out who told me that she had explained to me when I made the appointment that I could only get the pink filled. Why on earth was one of the owners of the salon bringing the receptionist over to me??? Did he expect me to say «Oh you’re right! I booked an appointment to get exactly what I didn’t want!» It was so weird. Also, that wasn’t even the point! The nail tech was rude, snotty, and made no effort to do my nails.
So, I stayed and got my pedicure with a lovely woman. The pedicure was definitely NOT a spa pedicure, but the woman doing it was very sweet.
Finally, I went to pay, and the woman ringing me up was speaking to another woman who worked at the salon. When I told her that my bill was incorrect, she fixed it, gave me the new price, and then apologized to her colleague for interrupting her to help me, and asked her colleague to continue telling her story!!! I was floored! What awful customer service. It just confirmed that this place is AWFUL!!! I do not recommend it to anyone! The service was terrible and it really didn’t seem that the work lived up to spa quality.

Looking for a place to get a Ouidad haircut, I chose LCWR simply for its proximity to my home. Long story short, the haircut was fine — the problem is the SERVICE!
I arrived at 2:50 for a 3:00 appointment. When scheduling the appointment, I told the person over the phone that this would be my first time at the salon. The greeting at the front desk was curt, and no one offered to show me where to go! I had to ASK the front desk staff to direct me to the stylist! Since the stylist was still in the middle of another haircut, I was shown to an uncomfortable waiting room filled with products for sale. I was waiting for the stylist for FORTY MINUTES, and I was two minutes from walking out the door when the stylist finally came to get me.
Between the tour of the salon that the stylist gave me, the shampoo, the consult, the cut, and the dry, I was there until 5:30! TWO HOURS from the time the stylist came to get me. I like haircuts, but two hours was exhausting and I felt like my whole day was a wash. All the other clients were gone (the salon closes at 4pm on Saturdays), and only a few staff remained. The people who took care of payment made NO effort at being friendly to me — it was obvious they were annoyed that they still had to be there!
If I can get a good haircut at many other salons, WHY WOULD I RETURN TO A SALON WITH TERRIBLE SERVICE? It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the customer service aspect to a salon is really important and a big part of the salon experience. The staff was so overwhelmingly unfriendly, and the length of time I had to spend there was so ridiculous, that I wouldn’t return and I would never recommend this place. The only reason this salon gets two stars is because the haircut was good.

This review is long overdue, however I feel like I still need to get it out there. I made an eyebrow wax with Kathryn (sp?) per recommendation from my friend and she canceled on me twice! The first time, I can’t even remember why, but the second time I was told her son was sick and she had to go home early… turns out she doesn’t even have any children. How are you going to treat a new (and perhaps returning) customer with that type of inexcusable behavior. After the second excuse, I canceled my appointment and made one at The Makeup Bar (love that place!). Good luck to anyone going here.

Louis is a great stylist and he has many customers who have been coming to him for many years and the reason — he is a great stylist. About the staff — some of the staff does come off as «snooty» but you really need to check out the princesses and other divas that come here! It’s like an all out snooty competition sometimes! Louis is a hoot and a half. I am sad that I moved too far away to go back to the saloon. However, if I can, I may go back if I am in the area.

I have never had a massage and was giving a gift card to LCWR for christmas. I know one of the masseuses there (Shabre) because my bosses get massages from her monthly. She is as good as it gets. She was wonderful and made me feel extremely comfortable and it was the best 1.5 hr of my life. Very clean high end place. The massage was $ 90 for 1.5hr which i think is completely reasonable for the most relaxing moment of your life! She is the only person i will get a massage from now on!

Place is not really my scene. It is pricey for manicures and pedicures. Massages are good (if you have the right person).
Honestly, I only go here for Billy for my hair cuts. I will give him 5 starts. He rocks. If he went to a different salon, I would follow. This place does not tug at my heart strings or give me any incentive to use their other services.

I got a French bikini wax from Sheri at LCWR. She was friendly, professional, attentive to my level of comfort/​pain and VERY fast. I will definitely go back and would recommend her for anyone looking for a good wax, newbie or experienced.

I went to LCWR Salon and Spa with my BF for pedicures. Here are our experiences…
Price: $ 50 for a basic pedicure
Location: Convenient enough and with ample parking
Décor: Sleek, modern, high-​end
The Good:
1. Calling to make the appointment was easy and the person who took our appointments was helpful.
2. My manicurist did a great job with my cuticles and polish application — which I am very picky about.
3. The manicurists were friendly.
The Bad:
1. We were greeted at the front desk by the entrance, and was told to check in to another check in counter (for nails, I guess.) We were never asked if it was our first time and directions were never offered.
2. After we checked in for our pedi’s, we noticed the strong chemical smell from artificial nails being worked on — I have experienced places where they have a separate area for artificial nails so clients will not have to inhale the fumes while getting natural nail services done.
3. The pedicure chairs were a bit stiff — which would have been easily fixed with a small pillow for lumbar support.
4. Both our manicurists were late. Nothing was offered to make us feel comfortable while waiting (i.e. water…)
5. The manicurists were all talking to each other, quite loudly actually. Sometimes to a point of yelling because they are telling stories amongst each other from different ends of the room.
6. When my BF asked to use the restroom before he got started, his manicurist actually asked him to turn on the water and fill up the pedicure tub himself when he gets back. Although he did it, I do not think it is his job to do so.
7. The place was not sanitary because:
— They all dip their hands in the scrub container without using disposable sticks. This means that the container is contaminated because after scrubbing one leg, they dip their dirty hands in the contrainer again for use on your other leg (which happens over and over — do the math.)
— Nail files and buffers are not new and have been used on other clients.
8. My BF’s time was cut short. He was booked for an hour pedi and was done in 30 mins. He was really disappointed with the massage (which is what he looks forward to in getting pedis) as it felt rushed and the manicurist was done after a couple of strokes.
9. There doesn’t seem to be a strict protocol (i.e. my BF got hot towels wrapped around his legs, and I didn’t.)
Summary:
This is not a place to go to if you are looking for a relaxing manicure/​pedicure. I would compare the atmosphere and experience to an asian nail salon, with the difference of higher prices, better décor and that they speak english. To be fair, I did get a good polish and the manicurists were nice. Hence, the 2 stars. Otherwise, I would have only given 1 star.

Meh is right. I came here for my hair for senior prom, and they actually did do an excellent job. It is pin straight and somehow they got it to not only curl exactly how I wanted it, but have it last hours and hours beautifully. That is the only thing saving this review from 1 star (negative stars if I could!).
No matter the price I pay, I want to be treated as I treat others — with kindness and respect. The «meh» is for the staff. This salon is snootiness personified. I very clearly explained to my stylist, who was an owner, what I wanted, along with crystal clear photos. I had taken them of my makeup artist’s hair, which had a little piece hanging down the back for a messy look. I specifically told him multiple times I didn’t want it, I wanted it all up and clean. Well, when he let me see the back, there was a piece hanging all messy! Stressed, I asked him to fix it, to which he gave me the biggest attitude in North America, like I was some cocky little brat wasting his time, especially since I was 18. For the huge price I paid, I should have my ONE SMALL request fulfilled. Only when he saw the Vuitton bag and wallet I was toting, and my Chanel sunglasses (my mom was holding them in the waiting area so they didn’t all get ruined) did he change his attitude. After that he treated me like a princess and went crazy to make me happy, which didn’t impress me at all.
The actual salon was gorgeous and I’d give it another try, only without such high expectations, although I’m not sure wanting to be generally respected is too much to ask. I guess time will tell, but that experience has definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Honestly, I feel this place is the most OVER rated salon. I have had 3 experiences there. One being one of the worst haircuts I ever had with Bernadette. The last time I was there, I got hi-​lites by Nick. I said I wanted to be blonder then when I came in and I left the same color I was when I got there. I was told, after a few shampoos, it will be the color you want. My bill was $ 130! This is what you tell someone who spends that kind of money? Really, I think you would be better getting hi-​lites /​color at Hair Cuttery. I do not recommend the place. Plus the salon is really starting to look run down, could use some fresh paint and a makeover. The bathroom was a total mess when I was there.

This place is amazing, I’ve been a faithful client to Vince for 7 years and I’m only 21 so imagine that. When I first met him… I closed my eyes and told him to do whatever he wanted to my hair. I fell in love with him ever since.
I get my eyebrow done by Sherri. She’s great and is very nice. She tweezes, trims waxes, etc. the whole 9-​yards. I recommend her.
A couple months ago there were these hideous 25 somethings who thought their job was important working at the cash register obnoxiously receiving your cash and blowing you off like you were their hired help! Thank god they’re gone now. The women who work at the cash register and front desk are far more kind now and are polite! Although I’m very young, I’m still a paying customer. THANK YOU FOR getting rid of those 25nothings. and Louis Christian… stay classy because I love this establishment as long as Vince and Sherri are there to stay.
