This place is a good Coney island for the price. Place isn’t very clean. And is outdated. Fries come out every time for me undercooked. But again you get what you pay for.

Been coming here since I was a baby. breakfast is always on point, and there’s nothing better than a 2 on 1(2 coneys on 1 plate…) and fries. However I do recommend when you order fries, ask for them extra crispy/well done or they will come out undercooked. Waitresses like to wait tables and get you out as fast as possible no matter how busy or slow they are.

Wow. How can a Coney Island not cook a coney or chili cheese fries correctly? Ask the people in this kitchen. If you like partially frozen fries and hot dogs that are burnt on the outside but lukewarm on the inside this is the place for you. Throw in a run down inside and you have a top notch 1 star restaurant. When was the last health inspection visit?

I like Gus’. Have been here many times and have yet to have a bad meal. Prices are good for what you get. Some of the sandwiches are a bit overpriced. Décor is dated but I think it adds to the charm of the place. Friendly prompt staff. Breakfasts aren’t bad either.

I’ll admit my rating is a little bias. This is right down the street from me and probably my most frequent spot. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The foods always good, albeit generic coney Esq menu, it’s always cooked perfect. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is very friendly. Good affordable option for all!

My husband and I frequently eat here. The food is always delicious and the prices are really good. The only thing I would change is I think the waitresses should wear a uniform shirt and either Kakis or jeans. It’s hard to tell the employees from the customers. Also, yoga pants should never be worn in a public work environment. That just looks tacky and low class.

Usually go to Jillians Coney Island across the street, decided to give this place a try. Called and placed an order for pick up, they told me 15 – 20 mins. I get there at 20 mins after and they tell me it’ll be another 10 mins, okay no problem I waited. ANOTHER30 mins goes by and STILL don’t have my order, overall waited inside the store for 55 minutes!!! Food wasn’t even good, hash browns tasted like they were frozen then burnt while cooking… first and last time ever coming to this place! Rude customer service also!!! Don’t waste your time or money here.

Gus’ is a staple in our town. Fast, friendly service and a comfortable judgement free diner. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 10 years now and the expierence has been consistent since the first visit. The food is what you would expect for a Coney Island. The usual consists of a breaded chicken pita, a small order of chili cheese fries, and a cup of coffee. I recommend a visit if you are looking for an inexpensive comfortable place to catch a meal.

It’s a pretty standard Coney, but since I live like three minutes away, I consider this joint my default«go to» diner. I am always down for Gus’s. Friendly staff, solid Coney style comfort food, and it’s affordably priced. No complaints here.

It is a great atmosphere. Ive been coming here for a couple of years and it hasn’t changed a bit. Which is one of the things i like about it. The food is good, the portions are generous. The fact that it has a drive-thru is all the better in this weather. Which also just makes picking up breakfast on a short break easy and convenient

Good food but you better check your order before you leave with carry outs. Waitresses can never get it right. How hard is it to make sure your order is in the bag? That’s your job and you even right it on your order ticket. Never will I go back. Lots of money lost every time you forget stuff.

The ultimate greasy spoon. This place is kinda dirty, but I have been coming here with my dad for breakfast specials and Coneys for years and have not been disappointed. The lemon chicken soup is pretty good, too.

I’m a fan of Coney Islands and Gus’ is no exception. Friendly staff and delicious food, what’s not to love? It’s worth the trip if in the area.

Dirty and mediocre food. I had a friend that worked there that said it would be in my best interest not to eat there. If you want this style of food, American across the street is not bad or else head to a National.
