dr. tamjidi over-​filled my face several years ago, while never actually admitting to doing so, and then put a ridiculous amount of filler in my face to smooth out the unevenness and balance it out. all of which i had the privilege of paying for. a few years into this process, i found out from a friend that we could have just dissolved the initial injection, which dr. tamjidi never even offered and i didn’t know was even possible. when i asked her about this, she initially shot me down but then decided the next visit to start dissolving the remaining lumpy filler in my face, and that did chip away at the filler each time. there is still filler is still in my face and the doctor is now ignoring that fact, even though i have asked her to physically feel it with her fingers, and it has created lines on my face which weren’t there before. she barely felt the lumps and is now telling me that there is no filler there. completely unethical and not a nice person to boot. last visit, i had a conversation with her about the situation and now i’m not even able to make an appointment… i’ve been frozen out. i should have known better to trust my face to her given how much filler she has in her own face. she looks like an alien and a muppet had a baby.

Sivan will save your skin. Like that’s it, she will. I’ve paid more at other places I’ve paid less, but her hydra facial instantly made a difference and so far I’ve had no new breakouts, I have scarring but I’m going to try a peel with her and update my review. As well, she’s just so pleasant to be around and patient and respectful. She really cares about helping you so I really am happy and I appreciate what she’s done for me. Thank you!

Seriously. GO HERE if you have acne. I wouldn’t write such a personal review if I wasn’t so highly impressed. I came because the last dermatologist I went to prescribed me medication that was making my face break out worse. I went to Natalie first, she was so down to earth and a pleasure to talk to, she listened to my issues and recommended a few things to do, one being a hydrofacial.
I scheduled an appointment with Megan and seriously could not be more impressed with the results. It’s been about a 3 weeks and my face is clearing up more each day. My face was HORRIBLE (ok probably not as bad as I’m yelling about, but for me it was awful) It’s completely back to normal and I finally feel myself again after a solid year of horrible skin.
Go, don’t wait.

Tysons office has nice décor and the doctor is good but their billing & office manager is horrible. They sent me to collections incorrectly. did not respond to my 2 attempts to resolve THEIR error and still not accommodating after the 3^rd attempt to fix this. Very frustrating and unacceptable.

Dr. Tamjidi is an amazing Dr. She truly cares about her patients and tries her hardest to help them. I would recommend her (and regularly do) to all of my friends. She is a truly smart woman in both the medical field and business field. It may take some time to get an appointment with her (because people love her and always come back), but she is worth the wait. Also, her physician assistants are great as well, along with her staff.

Great staff, wonderful space, and I love McNeely. Have seen her for years and I trust her with my skincare. She got my skin in great shape for my wedding and also has kept a watchful eye on my pale skin which tends to get worrisome looking moles.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at the Tamjidi Skin Institute. After seeing Rachel White for a consult my skin has never looked better. She took the time to understand my individual goals and helped me select products for an anti-​aging régime that has my skin looking flawless.
I joked that I wanted to have my pores vacuumed and it turns out that is actually possible with the Hydrafacial. Be sure to make an appointment for one with Megan, their fantastic aesthetician, by far the best facial I’ve had in DC!

Love Dr. Tamjidi. She is kind thorough and patient. The only issue can be the wait time for an appointment and for her in the office. But, she’s an artist and I adore her!

After going to Dr. Tamjidi for the first time for a routine dermatological check-​up back in the fall and absolutely loving her, I finally mustered up the courage to ask for a Juvederm treatment. I read everything that I could about the procedure and the product before committing, being the compulsive researcher and cosmetic procedure «virgin» that I am, and everything checked out. Dr. Tamjidi administered Juvederm to my labionasal area (which is a zone of my face that made me look older than I would prefer), and she did a phenomenal job. The procedure was easy and virtually painless, it took only a few minutes, and I immediately looked 7 years younger. I can’t think of many times when I have enjoyed such instant gratification! I was worried that I might be bruised or swollen or look over-​done, but no one would be able to tell that I had the procedure (just that my appearance is improved – New makeup? New haircut?). I looked completely natural and normal (albeit younger) the same day that I had the treatment. I returned to work immediately after the procedure without any problems at all. As other reviewers have mentioned, Dr. Tamjidi has a wonderful «bedside manner.» She made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process and took the time to explain everything that I wanted to know. She was also very gentle and seemed to have a masterful sense for how the product should be placed. I will definitely return. Dr. Tamjidi is the woman!

After dropping GW Medical Faculty Associates for dermatology, I found this place on Unilocal and made an appointment as it was close to my house. Can say that this clinic is clean and modern, and the staff are friendly and clearly hired based on attractiveness as this is a cosmetic based dermatology clinic. Lots of people are here for botox and plastic surgery it seems. For a psoriasis patient, they seemed flippant about examining me and totally ignored the symptoms I filled out in my paperwork unless it dealt with cosmetic based skin problems. With that said, this clinic finally prescribed me psoriasis medication that was effective for the first time in my life. So I have them to thank for that. Other dermatologic symptoms I presented were glossed over. Overall, this is a cosmetic specialist that I was decently happy with, but since they finally prescribed me a life altering medication that has saved me years of morbidity, I have to hand it to them and say thank you.

$ 150 for only a consult for either Fraxel or IPL Laser… wow

This place has too many patients. They are always behind and now, for the second time in a row, I had to leave. I won’t be rescheduling this time, I’ll be finding a new dermatologist.

This practice is inattentive to patient needs. Some of the doctors are lackadaisical about returning telephone calls. The medical staff will offer to perform procedures that are not covered by insurance without any warning that there will be no insurance coverage. Dr. Tamjidi is aggressive in bill collection and her office threatens to report unpaid bills to a collection agency.

Dr. Gerson is terrific! Like any other preventative maintenance behavior, the post-​30 yearly skin check doesn’t have me jumping for joy — but Dr. Gerson’s super sweet personality (and the overflowing bowl of candy at the front desk) make this annual task much more pleasant.
She’s happy to answer questions, talks you through everything that she does, so that there are no surprises, and is refreshingly direct.
In the event that you need to have something removed, Dr. Gerson is gentle and gets the job done quickly.
The staff here are consistently helpful and professional. Be forewarned, you’ll need to make the appointment well in advance — at least 3 months ahead of time. Totally worth it for such a great doctor.

I started seeing Dr. Tamjidi two years ago for both medical and cosmetic needs. She is a kind and warm person who takes her time and will listen to all your concerns. I have seen other Dermatologists in the area and so many today seem way to «cut happy.» Dr. Tamjidi is extremely thorough when giving me my annual body check scan. I have had basal cell issues in the past so she is extra cautious with anything remotely suspicious. She is also wonderful with Botox or any other cosmetic procedures. Her office does not push products or procedures on you like many other derm/​spa places do.

I have a serious issue with this doctor. I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my back a year ago (not by Dr. Tamjidi) and so am considered at high risk for another. It was recommended that I be seen at six month intervals for a complete skin check. I went to Dr. Tamjidi instead of the doctor who had diagnosed and treated my carcinoma because he had retired, and based on the reviews I read here, I thought she would be great.
So I scheduled an appointment (way, way, in advance, but that was okay, because I had planned ahead-​it was still going to fall within the six month time frame. She checked me over thoroughly and pronounced me fine. I questioned her closely, as of course I am paranoid about getting another cancerous lesion now. She said she saw «nothing whatsoever of concern,» but offered to remove some «benign» growths (I have a lot on my back) if they «bothered me.» I asked her to go ahead and take some of them off, in particular one on my left shoulder that I thought was unattractive and I knew I’d be wearing sleeveless shirts soon as it was spring. She froze this growth off and didn’t see any reason to send it to pathology. Remember, she’s thinking I have absolutely nothing of concern anywhere on my body.
Well, after about a month I noticed that this spot had not healed well-​it remained red and it looked like she just didn’t get it all. So I called her office for a re-​do, basically.
I could not get an appointment! I called 4 different times and could not get through to the first line receptionist. Twice I got a recording saying «This number is no longer taking messages. Goodbye.» !!! I have never, ever, heard of a doctor’s office having a recorded message like that. It sounded as if she’d gone out of business! But the third time I got a different recording asking me to leave a message. I did, saying I needed an appointment to reassess a previous recent treatment, and that I was considered at risk so would appreciate that it be expedited. Someone did call me back, got my voice mail, apologized for the phone tag and asked me to call again to set an appointment up.
I called again and got the original «This number is no longer taking messages» message. At this point I gave up, deciding if her office is so poorly run and she is so busy and understaffed that her voice mail overflows regularly that I probably was not going to get her full attention even if I could manage to get in to see her.
So I went to another dermatologist. He took a look at the spot where she’d frozen the growth off and said, «This doesn’t look right.» He took a biopsy of the area and sent it off.
Today, three days after I saw him, he called me to say the results showed pre-​cancerous cells and I will need to come back in for a more complete removal process.
I am floored! Dr. Tamjidi looked at this growth and pronounced it of no concern. She only removed it because I asked her to for cosmetic reasons. She did not send it to pathology; she merely froze it off. She missed a precancerous growth (that was not that small, by the way) while looking right at it.
If I hadn’t taken action and gone elsewhere, I would still be waiting for an appointment to see her and would not yet even know this growth was pre-​cancerous.
I think this is shockingly negligent on her part – all of it. Missing the diagnosis, knowing I am a patient at risk and still not sending something to pathology just in case-​and the impossibility of even getting through to someone on the phone in order to make a simple follow-​up appointment.
So all you people who think she’s the cat’s patoot because she’s so willing to inject fillers and toxins into your skin, be aware that she missed a potentially serious growth that the doctor who did diagnose it immediately saw and thought looked «funny» said a first year resident needs to be able to tell the difference between a benign keratosis and a pre-​cancerous one just by looking at it closely-​and if there is any doubt at all, biopsy it!
I am still freaking out about this and trying to decide if I should take further action. I guess it will depend on how this plays out.
But beware. She’s probably okay for cosmetic procedures (although I have to say, she’s an advertisement for her work, and she looks like a typical plastic surgery addict – huge, unnatural lips, strangely puffy cheeks, etc., albeit flawless skin. So if that’s your thing, go for it, but I’d go to someone else for real doctoring.
I will be very interested in seeing if she or her office contacts me for some discussion of this. I would be happy to speak to them about what happened, but I’m not going through that phone charade again. I think she owes me a serious apology, at the very very least.

Dr. s are nice enough, office staff are rude and unhelpful. Requests to be put in touch with dr are ignored, bills are auto generated withour explanation. This place is crooked and run as though mob controlled, without any concept of patient care.

Doesn’t get any better than having Tamjidi look after you. Aside from her accredited work and fine attention to detail; she has an amazing personality and you actually «want» to go see the doctor for once! Being a male that is concerned about Father Time, she does put you at ease, never pushy on the remedies, and after seeing her for 2 years my skin looks years younger. My Wife is now seeing her too and we HIGHLY recommend her practice. Great redone office right across from the big shopping brands on Wisconsin Ave (Cartier, Saks, LV, etc) so very convenient location. Feels more like a spa than a doctor’s office which makes the visit more appealing.

Recommended here by a friend who LOVED her and now I understand why.
I decided to go for some minor acne scarring that I wanted looked at. If you have to wait longer than you’d like for an initial appointment, ask to see Natalie, that’s what I did for my first two and she’s great! They really listen to you and want to do what’s best. They prescribed a topical medicine and gave me enough free samples to last me months and then a coupon for when I needed to fill the prescription and encouraged me to come back and get more so I can pay as little as possible.

She accurately diagnosed my psoriasis and gave me something that helped, which my prior doctor (in a different state) did not. However I changed doctors because (1) she called me honey, (2) her office was very cold (no fun when you’re wearing just a gown) but most of all (3) I waited 4 weeks for my initial appointment, then when I called for a follow-​up was told she was booked for three MONTHS and I couldn’t see her sooner.
