History

Established in 1965.

Started by my Uncle W. Wilson in 1965. He allowed me to work to earn college tuition. TVs changed from tubes to transistors in the 1970’s. In the 1980’s, we trained many technicians on the new transistor technology. Having a hard time hiring qualify techs, we started a TV repair electronics training school known as Consumer Electronics Training Center (CETC). In 1992, we were the guest of the City Counsel where we awarded the Honorable Richard J. Daley, mayor of Chicago an Honorary Electronics Diploma. Between 1985 through 1997, we graduated 2,000 students. Still while operating the school, we remained in the TV repair business. This experience of training showed us the importance of being well trained ourselves. We are consultants for technicians, companies and repair shops in Illinois. Customer Account Assistant Manger and Tech who loves helping any customer through their TV repair experience. He has 8 years of TV repair experience. He loves solving TV repair problems and customer service issues. This is not a job for him: it is his passion. He is here every night after normal working hours solving TV repair problems. He is a very important part of our A-​Team.

The BEST Electronics repair company in Chicago!!! A & A Electronics is always on it. They are very knowledgeable in servicing and repairing TVs. I’ve used them a few times and I’ve recommended A & A to clients and friends. They’ve all said great things and I know why. The owner and staff are always very friendly, VERY HONEST and I know I’m always taken care of. I completely trust A & A Electronics with all my jobs and so should you! :)
Price is very reasonable and they are always on top of following up and technical support of the phone. Simply the best!!! Thank you for such great service. Highly recommended!!!

After researching tons of TV repair companies, 3 of which are within walking distance to my house but wouldn’t do a house-​call even for a fee, I found A&A. Everyone else willing to do a house-​call was charging $ 100 – 125 to come and even see if they could fix it, and this place only charged $ 59. I called at 2pm, and it is now only 5pm and he is already gone with my TV! Unbelievable! He figured out the problem, quoted me for repairs, and we had a nice conversation too. He was professional and pleasant, and explained the problem in layman’s terms for me. He said it would be 3 – 7 business days to return the TV to me. Although I haven’t seen a result yet, so far this experience has been quick and totally painless when I was anticipating it to be a huge headache. Great job Tyrone! Giving credit where credit is due!

I turned my tv on last Saturday around noon and POP! the bulb burst. Since it’s about 10 years old, I thought it might not even be worth fixing. I called one electronic company and was told I’d need to call the manufacturer to find an authorized repair shop. Instead, I got back on Unilocal and went to the next highly rated company on the list.
The lady who answered the phone took the model number of the tv, told me it would be $ 75 for the house call and that fee would be applied to the repair bill. She estimated it would likely cost $ 225 for the repair and that she might be able to get someone out there later that afternoon. I didn’t believe I could possibly get this tv fixed the same day for such a reasonable price, so I held my breath until she called me back. Sure enough, she said she’d have someone there later in the day and that they’d call me 30 minutes before he arrived.
She called around 4:00 and said the guy was 15 minutes away. He arrived right on schedule, new bulb in hand, and my tv was back in working order about 15 minutes later. The price was $ 225 in total, as the nice lady quoted, and includes a 1-​year guarantee. I couldn’t be more pleased and can enthusiastically recommend this company for customer service that way above and beyond my expectations.

Very dissatisfied with this company. I was online looking far a TV repair company. I found their ad on Google Pay Per Click, which also states free TV pick up. When I called to make an appointment they stated there is no free pick up and that I can take the TV to them or they will come pick it up for $ 65 dollars. When I stated to the man whom I spoke to that his ad said FREE TV PICKUP, he said yea it says that but there’s only so much info you can put on Google so on our website it states that a deposit is required. SOUNDS LIKE A BAIT AND CATCH SCAM!!!
Then when I continued to talk to the guy about the problem he states he has no idea how much it would cost to fix. I have a huge TV and cannot afford to take it it to multiple places to shop around for the best price so I wanted someone to give me an estimate or exact prices so i know I won’t be over charged and i thought this company would be a good choice. I was wrong. They are very unhelpful and unwilling to go the extra mile by just providing info over the phone. LEARN HOW TO ADVERTISE PROPERLY AND KEEP YOUR WORD!

I searched Unilocal for a service that could fix my wide screen TV, which decided to barely turn on, often not at all. After researching the problem online, I found that it was a problem that many people had with wide screen and plasma TVs — and that it was usually easily fixable and worth it, as long as the picture was still good.
It gets heavy use and is over 5 years old — and has been moved twice in the last few months — once across country. I noticed that it took a while to turn on before I moved and finally couldn’t get it to turn on with the remote. So I knew that eventually, it would probably not turn on at all.
Because it is a wide screen console and it wouldn’t fit into a car even if I had one, I was looking for a service that offered home repairs. I found A&A through a Google search for «home TV repair,» but alas, no revie on Unilocal.So I looked them up on BBB and saw no complaints registered; in fact, they were listed as a «reliable» service on BBB, so I decided to give it a shot.
I called on a Friday to see what the service call would be and was told $ 79. I thought that was reasonable, and was willing to pay that to have someone come to my apt. to check the TV out. I had high hopes that they could fix the problem easily.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that they could send 2 techs out the very next day — a Saturday! This really surprised me, since Sat. seems like it would be a very busy day. They called to confirm the appt. and kept me apprised of their whereabouts as they approached. The techs were friendly, efficient and really knew what they were doing. Within about 30 minutes, they replaced the two parts that were burned out. The total cost was $ 179.95 which I think was very reasonable, considering they came to my apt. so fast! So worth it! I was relieved that it could be fixed and they even mentioned that my TV is very good and that they could see nothing else wrong with it.
They guarantee their work 90 days for parts and 45 days labor. I would not hesitate to call them again, should the need arise (but I hope not)!
