This company put in a windshield in 2006 (supposed to be warrantied for life of car), but the end result was they never properly sealed the window, nor did they prep the area before putting in the windshield (I am told). It caused major damage to the inter parts of my roof and eventually caused leaking into my car. I now have an almost $ 4,000 bill I have to pay (insurance companies don’t cover damage caused by replaced windshields) out of pocket to replace the roof, header, windshield, etc. I called today asking to speak to someone about it and the girl who answered gave me a hard time after I explained the situation. I told her either I speak to someone there to work it out or I would have to call my attorney to which she told me I didn’t need to get an attitude with her (really!!!). Learn some professional etiquette, receptionist. She put me on hold and then told me her manager said to call my attorney. Believe me I will. No integrity or morals in this company. Oh, and when they put the windshield in, they actually gave me back my car with a flat tire (two of their metal shield holders were imbedded in my tire — $ 200.00), of which they initially told me was not their problem. After many calls, Milo said he would only reimburse me the amount of the windshield not the full amount of the tire. Calling the lawyer now. Word to wise, cheaper isn’t always better, pay a little more and go somewhere else. Safelight has great first time discounts and are reasonable in their prices to start with, but best of all they stand behind their work and their folks are professional and courteous. I know this because when I realized my windshield leaked I went to them to fix it but they couldn’t because of the extreme damage. Susan King

Great work and best prices in Chicago. Replaced the front passenger window in under an hour and cost 19% of what McGrath Lexus quoted. Free Wifi while you wait. Staff was friendly and efficient. Ma & Pa kind place (Ma sits at one of the desks in the back area, the son handles the cash transactions). Highly recommended.

They help me out with my window problem fast. I’m giving them 4 stars because the people in the back were rude. They didn’t repair it at all because they didn’t have the parts. I will try them again if I need their services.

First time coming here… Price quoted was the best I found in the area and they said they would match any price if I could find one lower. I came in around 3:30pm and after paperwork was processed and they finally got to work, I had a new windshield a little after 4:30pm.
The only reason I give 3 stars is due to the mess left behind. I found globs of black adhesive left on the dashboard and on my door handle. There were also huge chunks of broken glass on and under the seats, on the floor and dashboard. I found fingerprint smudges on the inside. They said not to clean the window within 48 hours so it was annoying to have to see fingerprints in front of my face when driving.
All in all, quick and affordable but they need to work on presentation once the work is complete. It’s the little things that make all the difference!

My passenger quarter panel was smashed in. Called safelite. Left a message. They called back 4 hours later with a quote of $ 323 bucks. Found aaron auto glass on google. Called and IMMEDIATELY spoke to a person. Within 1 minute they quoted me $ 65 out the door with a used quarter panel for my Chevy. And – if i got there within the next hour, they’d have it done ASAP. And that’s what I did. This place KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE DOING. The people behind the counter are friendly! They speak to you. The smile. You don’t feel like you’re an inconvenience to them. Very well run place to get your windshield replaced. The only complaint is that the waiting area is run down. You kind of feel like you’re in a bus station but who cares!!! They fixed my windshield for an incredible price. I WILL GO BACK HERE IF I NEED TO!

Great service, fast and efficient. Guy in the the garage to the ladies at the desk there to do a job, they are busy getting people in and out. No small talk, which is fine by me, just focused on getting the job complete. Called in morning, showed up and hour later on the road again… car window broken didn’t ruin my day because Aaron Glass had taken care of it before breakfast was over. My boyfriend’s rear window was smashed out on NYE so I called around for estimates for the window replacement and Aaron’s was one of the lower estimates, but similar to many others so we definitely did not HAVE to go there out of necessity, there are a ton of other options in the city. The woman over the phone looked up the window and gave me a rate, I told her it was a rag top and I thought it should be more than the regular window and she said it was the same. After dropping the car off they told us it would be $ 45 more than they told us before we drove all the way to the North side. In addition, the woman at the desk was extremely rude, I can’t believe people get away with acting like that! So we ended up paying 250 for the rear window that was supposed to be around 200!

While running errands I had went to have some body work done on one of my car side doors when the window was shattered in the process. I was on a time crunch and the place I was at had a 3 hour wait to repair the window. They referred me to this shop. Not only did they price match a discounted rate but I was in and out in under an hour and made it on time to pick up my daughter. Highly recommended, true professionals! Thanks so much for saving my disastrous day!

Paid $ 35 to have my window resealed. Lasted about 3 days before water leaked in again. Didn’t even bother with refund.

Some jerk smashed my car window (passenger side). I was able to take it in and get it done within an hour (and for a good price). They also went the extra mile by helping me with a stuck driver side window for no additional charge (and even scrapped off the residue of a ticket stuck to my window). I hope I never need their services again, but if I do, I will go back to them.

Just got my windshield replaced. Heard about them from my Mom. She told me she loved them because they have the glass in stock and will fix it quick. My insurance was trying to charge the $ 500 deductible but suggested another place that would have charged — $ 250 — Aarons did it for less than that. Thank God for them cause whatever hit my windshield on the eway tried to kill me and my wallet.
The young woman who checked me in was efficient and courteous and the young lady who cashed me out was warm and helpful! That’s a huge benefit.
I’m a little salty that I see this $ 10 off coupon now — but the work was done in less than an hour and now I’m out treating myself to lunch.

I’ve been to Aaron’s 3 times now (sucks to be me), my dad has been here twice, my sister once. We chose this place because they are fast and CHEAP compared to others across Chicago. They have Groupons and Unilocal Check-​In discounts that make your price even cheaper! I suggest you take advantage of it.
You can call ahead to make sure they got what you need, they still had a windshield for my 1992 Toyota Camry… so they are bound to have what you need.
They claim to have the lowest price and the fastest service!

Same day service, great pricing. They are flexible to give what you want without pushy sales. I saved money without sacrificing quality. Fully recommend!

I’ve been to Aaron twice now, unfortunately, due to breakins.
Both times, they replaced my window efficiently and did a good job vacuuming the broken glass, etc. This last time there was a little bit of glass they missed, but given how much there was that’s understandable.
They’re polite, pretty quick, and their price was also the best. $ 65 to replace a window (front door) in my case, but of course it’ll vary based on your make/​model.

Best price by far ($ 100 – 120 Less than every other place I called). When I got there they told me it would take about an hour. Took about an hour and a half but they were busy, I didn’t have an appointment and I saved over $ 100 so I really don’t care! Definitely would recommend this place to everyone!!!

This place is a joke!!! I found Aaron’s Glass here on Unilocal and the reviews seemed good as well as their prices. I brought my car in November 11, 2014 to replace my windshield from a rock hitting it. Everything went well until I had to come back in January for my winshield being cracked by no fault of my own. They tell me it’s my fault my wiper hit the winshield and caused the crack. BULL! I’ve never heard that in my life but what do I know. Today I come back because the molding is coming off, they say they’ll fix that. I tell them now this is just proving the crappy job and materials they use and they should fix my windshield but refuse again.
I guess you get what you pay for but this is ridiculous. Horrible customer service as well as the girls that work the front are rude.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

I’ll never do business with this company. Today, one of their drivers was in our neighborhood in Portage Park and was driving absolutely recklessly. He nearly caused two accidents within about 2 minutes and showed no signs of caring that he was endangering the people in our neighborhood. They need to do a better job of cultivating a sense of respect for the communities they serve amongst their junior staffers.

This place is a joke and they act like they are the only auto glass repair shop in the city. This used to be the place to go back in the day and I’ve been a loyal customer for 15 years. Nowadays there level of professionalism is slim to none! Immediately when I pulled my car in the workshop a rude man there to greet me. You can totally tell he is difficult to work with by the way he was talking to the other employees. Newsflash guy, your working in the same place as them. I walked inside and the front desk girls no sense of manners or customer service at all. Point blank I brought my car there because my window kept collapsing and would slide all the way down into my door and not come up. They said they needed to order the part and come back tomorrow. I come in early the next day before work and the front desk girl told me they ordered the wrong part to come back later. I told her I had to work. She said come in the morning and this time for sure we will get the repairs done. I come back AGAIN the next day and the front desk girl laughs and says to me «You’re not gonna believe this but he got the wrong part again» WHAT? I was pissed off so I said let me just get my money back. She said sorry we can not refund it because we still looked at your car so you have to pay for that. I was about to lose my mind when a nice older woman who worked there overheard our conversation and told the girl to just refund me. I will never go there again or refer anyone to them.

This company had the nerve to flag my review, my opinion, my experience as inappropriate! They didn’t even reach out to me to try and rectify the issue they just flagged my opinion as though my bad experience was not worth their time. At this point I will now address my experience with the Better Business Bureau. I rarely post negative reviews but this place really treated me poorly.
