I think the bad reviews below are shedding a much harsher light on this place than is necessary.
I was doing physical therapy on my back, and was in and out of this facility for 3 – 4 days a week for 8 weeks. Not only was the staff professional and very friendly, but they were on the ball as far as their knowledge of the subject matter. Dr Chad goes out of his way to make things comfortable, as well as affordable. The facility does not have the same hardware as that of Northwestern Hospital, and nor are they going to rake you over the coals when it comes time to pay. They make do with what they have and I cant be more happy with my experience.
If you want a fancy-​pants facility with pretty people walking around, point your snobby nose east towards lakeview. If you want a professional, accommodating, affordable and effective facility… This is the place.

Though this location has closed I feel I need to share this review to defend the staff here. I had nothing but fantastic service for both treatment episodes that I completed. Dr Chad, Alex the PT and the other staff provided outstanding therapeutic services and for the 2 separate occasions I sought treatment I found relief each time. They were extremely accommodating and thoughtful regarding my insurance situation and billing. As Emily pointed out, this is not a spa, it’s therapy, and I got excellent multidisciplinary treatment. I see most of the negative reviews are of those taking drug screens there, which is an entirely different experience and may certainly lend itself to a negative attitude solely due to the uncomfortable circumstances. I was very sad that this location closed and would encourage anyone to receive treatment at one of their suburban locations!

Unprofessional, rude employees that act like you’re bothering them to do there job. Went in for a drug test, had the flu couldn’t take the test, told them I would come back later that day. But, wasn’t feeling good, so I came back 2 days later when I felt better. I come back in and the guy behind the desk says to me where have you been, you said you were coming back? Is this my job? I didn’t know I had to call if I couldn’t make it due to an illness. They took my information. Then the ghetto acting big black woman behind the desk tells me, because you came in and couldn’t finish the drug test and didn’t call in to tell us when you were coming back. This looks suspicious and we had to mark you down as «Refused.» Lol, Refused? Then I was told that if I wanted to take the drug test that I wasn’t up for taking 2 days later. I would have to call my potential employer and ask for permission to take the test again. Hello? Excuse me? So, your basically saying that you think I’m a drug addict and that I have to beg this potential employer to get this job. Thank you very much for your level of customer service and professionalism.

Hm. I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion, but mine differs greatly from what I see here.
Dr. Chad & co. have really put in a good effort helping me with chronic back, neck, & shoulder pain.
I’m not sure what’s going on in the other reviews; maybe some people are expecting a more spa-​like situation here? I can see the discrepency between this spot and other chiropractic facilities. My previous chiropractor was more like a spa masseuse where you were sent for an adjustment after the massage and, frankly, while it was relaxing, it really didn’t help me much; just maintained the level of discomfort and pain I was at.
At APG, I’ve got exercises to complete (and my strength has gotten better, ditto my range of motion), stretching, muscle work, electric stim, chiropractic adjustment, and even acupuncture (the kind with medical basis, not the hippy-​dippy «chakra» kind). When I follow their advice and do my exercises/​stretches regularly (which I really should do more often), I see results. They’ve been really understanding & straightforward with the insurance & billing stuff too, at least with me.
It’s no spa, but everyone here is cool and laid back and they get the job done. I think their goal is to get you better and on with your life. Other facilities I’ve been to, while «fancier», also seemed to be looking for a lifelong customer if you get my drift. I’ll stick with these guys, thanks — at least until my back stops being crappy.

This place is disgusting. I had to go here for a medical test for an employer. It was FILTHY. The garbage cans/​wastebaskets were overflowing and every surface was grimy. The restroom (where they also conduct urine analysis) was horrific. The wastebasket was spilling onto the floor with used urine specimen cups, surgical gloves and garbage. The toilet was stained and dirty inside the bowl, the seat and the tank. This location needs a city health inspection immediately!
