History

Established in 2003.

Amata began in 2003, stemming from an idea the owners had about providing good service to fellow businesses. Ron Bockstahler and Frank Chalupa, who continue to work in their Downtown facilities, believe in keeping both their staff and customers happy. Their personal mission is to grow at a «fun» pace where they can provide a professional and enjoyable place to work for both their staff as well as their clients.

Welcome to Amata; my name is Ron Bockstahler. Frank and I co-​founded the company in 2002 and I have been the acting CEO since then. I am also the Principal Broker for Amata Realty Group. I remember back in 2002 when we were putting our plans together to open our first co-​working space in Chicago; my biggest fear was how would we keep pace with technology and understand it of course; I suppose going broke was a close second.

I have always been a big believer in setting goals and working relentlessly to achieve them and boy did it pay off when we started Amata. Of course, in the process I have become an expert on everything NOT to do when starting a business and thankfully I get many opportunities to speak with a lot of new companies and try to help them learn from our mistakes. I love the Real Estate industry and enjoy putting deals together both for my clients and our investors.
