Blueprint LSAT Preparation

I took Blueprint’s Summer 2015 course with Patrick and I could not have been happier. My score increased by 15 points from my first practice exam to the October 2015 LSAT. Patrick is a young, energetic LSAT connoisseur. He is serious about helping others. He always offered to stay a few minutes before or after class to help students understand a concept better.
I would highly recommend taking Blueprint with Patrick. :)

I am so grateful that I took the Blueprint LSAT spring 2015 course, and would recommend it to anyone who is serious about improving their LSAT score. Blueprint gives you all the resources that you need to succeed, though it’s not magic– it really is up to you to take full advantage of everything that is offered in order to get the most out of it.
I started studying for the test several months before my Blueprint class started, and was really glad that I did that, as I felt as prepared as I possibly could on test day. They do say that it is not expected that you do this, so at times I felt the pace of the class could be a little slow, but I always just took that as an opportunity to fully understand what we were working on and all the concepts behind each question and answer choice we went through.
Patrick, the instructor, is always available for help by email or before or after class. He was a great resource and was always positive and fun to be in class with 8+ hours a week. I had a great experience working with him and the entire Blueprint team– I always felt like I had plenty of resources and did not feel that the class was lacking in any area. I honestly could not have asked for more. There is plenty of homework to accompany what you work on in class but not so much that you feel like you are perpetually behind– I worked full time while taking the course and completed about 95% of the homework by the end of it. I wish I had had time to take more advantage of some of the extra resources provided by Blueprint through the online portals you gain access to as a student, but just did not have enough hours in the day. It was an intense couple of months, but I am very happy to report that I only had to take the test once, and ended up with a score that I am very excited to be applying to law school with this fall! This course is absolutely worth the time and financial investment if you are willing to put the work in.

I took Blueprint’s Summer 2014 Prep Class in preparation for the September 2014 LSAT, and I have absolutely no regrets. It was a solid investment of both my money and, more importantly, my time and efforts.
Patrick is a wonderful teacher, mentor, and friend. He genuinely cares about each of his students; he paid attention to our individual needs and concerns in a way that didn’t at all take away from the entire group’s classroom experience. While very intelligent, Patrick is also extremely patient and down to earth, which really adds to the comfort of the learning environment. Patrick explains the mysterious complexities of LSAT logic in a way that is simple to understand, and he goes out of his way to ensure that everyone has a solid grasp on the material. He’s easily accessible by email and phone and always willing to help; nearly every class meeting, Patrick arrived a few minutes early and stayed at least a a few minutes late to answer any questions that hadn’t been asked during class.
I admittedly didn’t always do all of the assigned homework, so I strongly advise that you do it to make sure you’re taking full advantage of the class. Try to make it to every lesson, as it’s a lot more fun to learn the material with Patrick than it is to study any missed lessons on your own. Also, be sure to check out all the available resources online — the sample problem sets and additional practice tests were tremendously helpful, so I’d recommend doing as many of those as possible. And don’t worry about the 4-​hour class length. Thanks to Patrick, class goes by a lot more quickly, painlessly, and enjoyably than you’d think.

I decided to take the LSAT very last minute after graduating early. I did a little research and figured out that Testmasters, Blueprint, and maybe some boutique firms in Chicago were going to be my best bets, so after a recommendation from a friend I signed up for Blueprint’s Winter course. Absolutely the best decision I could have made.
While Blueprint has some great material, and I do feel they prepare you for the test (I jumped nine points from my very cold diagnostic and scored in the 93^rd percentile,) the reason that this class was so great was because of Patrick. Patrick is a fantastic person and you can tell that he is a natural teacher. He made an extra effort for every student in the class, and gave us concrete advice about our futures and our individual relationships with the test. I never felt uncomfortable asking Patrick for advice, and he made the atmosphere relaxing and fun. (If I told you the number of times I laughed so hard I cried while taking an LSAT class, you probably wouldn’t believe me, but I was lucky and got a great group.) Take this class if you are at all unsure about the LSAT, becoming a lawyer, what you should do with your life, or if you want to make a big jump in your score. Patrick will get you there, and you’ll have an awesome time in the process.
My only warning would be to take more practice tests than Blueprint gives you, and to REALLY do the homework. It’s there for a reason, do all of it, even if it seems repetitive. (You will want to fall asleep after ten pages of the same inane questions but I think I would have done even better had I been more diligent about homework.) I could definitely have taken about 7 – 10 more practice tests than I did in the end, and I think this would have also helped my score, so get started early. Also, even though four hours seems crazy long, you will get used to it, and it actually goes fast. Don’t bring your phone, get everything you can out of the class, and I promise, you will have fun!

I took the December 2014 LSAT. About two months before test day I took a prep test and got a 146. I didn’t study immediately after my prep test because I was discouraged. I found Blueprint Prep with just under a month to study. I just received my score and got a 156 on my official LSAT. A 10 point increase is no joke, especially with under a month of studying. It was a great feeling and I have nothing but great things to say about this program.

I took the Blueprint LSAT prep course in Chicago for the June 2014 test with Patrick and highly recommend it.
I had self-​studied for the LSAT a few years ago and learned the hard way that I could benefit a lot from the extra structure and material a course provides. I signed up for Blueprint based on good reviews from friends and wasn’t disappointed. The Blueprint course is well-​designed to help people at all levels and I think the in-​class version is definitely worth it. The course itself is structured to teach you all the concepts you need and give you plenty of chance to practice them. The in-​class environment gives you both additional structure (a set aside time to work on the LSAT and to hold yourself to when doing the homework) and a place to ask questions and learn interactively.
Patrick does a great job of providing methods for approaching LSAT questions without telling you to replace things that might already be working for you. This course really does teach you how to increase both your accuracy and speed while figuring out what works best for you personally. Patrick is also very approachable by e-​mail and phone outside of class.
Studying for the LSAT probably isn’t going to be the funnest thing you ever do in your life, but if you want to give yourself the best shot at improving and keep it as fun as possible along the way then this course is the way to go.

I took the Chicago Blueprint LSAT prep class the summer of 2014, studying for the September 2014 LSAT. After careful research of LSAT prep companies, I selected Blueprint because of the convenient hours of class and the amount of prep materials (real LSAT questions) provided. After completing the class, I am so glad that I chose Blueprint.
The class helped me pace my studying with two lessons per week, and the exposure I had to hundreds of real LSAT questions was extremely beneficial. Patrick, the Chicago instructor, was a big help, very knowledgable about the subject matter, and showed genuine concern for each student’s progress. Patrick was available by email any day of the week to answer specific questions I had, and also stuck around after class to help any students with questions from the lesson or homework.
I especially appreciated the way Blueprint divided each question by type, and then taught strategies to deal with each question type. Also, the class size (around 25 students) was one of the advantages of using Blueprint.
I felt very prepared on test day, thanks to the strategies Blueprint taught me and the six proctored practice LSATs I took with the class. I bumped my score up 14 points in my practice exams and am expecting an even higher increase on the September LSAT.
I would highly recommend Patrick’s Chicago class to anyone looking for serious improvements in their score.

I took the Blueprint class in October for the December 2013 LSAT. I did extensive research before selecting Blueprint as the company to help for my LSAT Preparation. Prior to this class I had never opened a LSAT Prep book or even seen what type of questions would be on the LSAT. I was told by others that it is unlike any standardized test I had ever taken.
I wanted to start on a clean slate. From the research that I had done, most people who selected Blueprint increased their score by an average of 11 points. The instructors bio on the Blueprint website, which you should check out by the way, also helped in humanizing them and injecting a sense of humor to such a challenging task. Patrick was our instructor for Blueprint Chicago and let me tell you, he is extremely intelligent and patient. Unlike most geniuses who make you feel inferior due to their high acumen and intellect, Patrick was the complete opposite.
We learned a lot in this class and had fun doing it. Patrick would come early to answer any questions or stay late just to be sure you really got it. You have to do your part and actually prepare and study outside of class as well, but it was nice knowing that if we have any questions about the homework he would be able to break it down so we could understand where we may have missed something. I actually enjoy Logic Games now, I know it sounds strange but that’s how amazing Patrick was in breaking it down and making it enjoyable.
I would highly recommend taking the course with Patrick and I am glad he was our instructor because he really was super nice, funny, and patient. I was able to increase my score by more than the 11 point average and I know for a fact that it would not have been possible without Patrick and the Blueprint team. Patrick is an excellent teacher and you will not regret your decision.

I took the spring class last year (2013). The class is definitely a twofer. Great course materials AND an awesome instructor. Essentially echoing what everyone else has said…
I thought the course materials were extremely helpful, and definitely made the information entertaining and easy to digest. I even had the chance to compare my books with a friend that took Testmasters in 2012, and it was night and day… In a not so good way for TM.
Additionally, Patrick is a cool guy and made class enjoyable. Plus, Patrick has a ton of helpful advice having already been through the whole lsat/​law school grind. There really couldn’t have been a better instructor! Extremely glad I went the Blueprint route.
