Bridgeport Smiles

I’ve had anxiety at the dentist since having some bad experiences as a child, and so I made the mistake of waiting too long between visits. My last visit was four years ago and after multiple researches, I decided to schedule an appointment with Bridgeport Smiles because they have good reviews on Unilocal and they are open on Saturday.
I came in on a very busy Saturday and there were only one receptionist. Nonetheless, the receptionist remained professional and patience as she answered the multiple questions other patients had regarding their insurance and appointment even when they were giving her a hard time. When it was my turn, she was very apologetic for the wait and took me into a dentist room. The assistant (I think her name was Lizabeth) then took my digital x-​rays. She warned me that there would be some discomfort with the x-​ray; however, she put me very much at ease and was very gentle that, surprisingly, I didn’t feel any discomfort at all!
My dentist was Dr. Andy Lu, who was new to the clinic. He asked me what concerns I have and then thoroughly examined my teeth. Unfortunately, I have some cavities and teeth grinding issues, which would require fillings. He was very knowledgeable and professionally with helping me understand the causes, prevention and possible solution to my dental problem. Afterward, he proceeded to clean my teeth, which he was very gentle with — not aggressive and easy on the gum! Lizabeth then came back to polished and flossed my teeth, which no one had ever done for me before! This certainly felt like a spa!
Overall, I am very satisfied with my visit. If there is anything to improve upon, I would suggest it on the Chinese assistant, who gave me the proposed treatment plan and when I asked her on some of the line items, her answers wasn’t all that clear and I felt like I disturbing her by asking too much questions. She wasn’t rude, just not as pleasant as Dr. Lu, Lizabeth, and the receptionist. Nonetheless, I look forward to my next visit at Bridgeport Smiles.

I was excited for Bridgeport Smile. I was looking forward to not having to travel far for my kid’s dental visits. It was the first time my son was there so he have to take some x-​rays. The dentist assistant (middle age chinese lady) was taking the pictures for my son. My son was trying very hard to follow her directions. She was giving him lots of pain. It was hard for him to hold still for the x-​rays. She was very unprofessional by making side comments and saying RUDE things. it is her job to get the x-​rays and as for how my son should act according to his age or how i should take care of my son should not be any of her business. I had to tell her my son cannot control his behavior because of medical reasons. (I should not have to explain anything!) The dentist himself was very friendly and made my con feel very comfortable. I give the dentist a 4 star.

Dr Modi and her team always provide a great experience from the moment you book an appointment right up to checkout. They are very thorough in their work and extremely personable. My 3-​year old can vouch for that too!

For the record, I hate the dentist and until now I haven’t gone in years. I have a ton of things that need to get fixed with my teeth and I’m finally getting it done. I’m so so so glad that I chose Bridgeport Smiles! I’m a big chicken when it comes to the dentist but wow they make me feel so comfortable and everything is done so quickly and to the point. Everything is clean and it’s nice amd calm there’s never children running around or anything like that. I’ve been there 3 times now and I plan on going there for any other things I need done. Love love love it.

I give bridgeport smiles a 5 star because the people here are very friendly and it’s very clean here with TVs in each room! :)

Dr Modi and her entire staff are professional, kind and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My kids and I are both patients of Bridgeport Smiles and we are so happy to have an excellent dentist in the neighborhood!

By far the best dental office i have been to in my life. The staff is just the best and i love them to death. They are all so nice and sweet and the office is extremely beautiful. Its always very cleana nd smells just devine. My favorite dentist in the world is DR. NEEPA MODI. She is just great and if you have little ones they will love her and her staff. I will be coming here forever.

I am writing this review for my mom. Like the other people who has the worst experience in this place, my mom was asking to get a teeth cleaning and in which the assistant was not professional at all! Her mouth and teeth were hurting so bad while the assistant was helping with the cleaning and there were no water/​not even bother to ask her if she wants water to rinse her mouth. There were rashes around the corners of her lips. The next appointment she was getting an X-​ray and also putting the crown on the tooth after the root canal. After a few days, one of her tooth fell off!!! It scares her and freaks me out! We were trying to call the place as an emergency because she has no idea what has just happened. But no one answer and I left a message, no one call back. And now I am feeling that this place is very suspicious and concerning if they are professional dentist and assistant. After telling this to my cousins, who has the exact same experience as my mom, has changed to see another dentist. I never leave any 1 star rated on anywhere. But my mom’s experience just terrified me (I was with her in one of the appointment and I can tell they were so rush doing everything, because one period they can just help out in another appointment in another room). I would give no star if permitted to this place. Two words I can say, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Let me start off by saying I am a big BABY when it comes to the dentist, but the girls at Bridgeport Smiles made my appointment feel more like a Sap day !
Let start off from the beginning, I had an appointment at 10:30am right after some filling out some documents I was sitting in a MASSAGE chair (the dental chair gives you a massage !) which made me feel like I was at a spa!, but really I was about to see the dentist. The X-​rays are digital so it was so quick that the next thing I knew the doctor was in the room cleaning my teeth and giving me tips on how to stay cavity free !(I am 26 and my biggest fear is getting a cavity !)
After my cleaning The assistant polished and flossed me something no one has ever done to me after the dentist cleans my teeth.
Over all this place has definitely changed my prospective on how easy and relaxing a dental appointment can be !
I can’t wait to go back for my whitening !

I had an appointment for teeth cleaning before college started. Went there and the receptionist was nice. When I went in for my teeth cleaning, this Chinese dentist or assistant was giving me an x-​Ray… Which doesn’t make sense at all but I waited for her to finish what she had to do. The x– Ray process was really unprofessional and hurts a lot! She couldn’t get my x-​Ray right and I even have to use my BARE FINGERS inside of my mouth as she instructed to do so so that she can get the x-​Ray right. After that, she told me that I have to come back for teeth filling and I asked her that I need my teeth cleaning service and she told me to come back for it during thanksgiving break along with my teeth filling. That totally didn’t make sense because I came for a teeth filling not an x-​Ray. I just made an appointment and left with an unhappy face. Literally.
Fortunately, the receptionist was nice enough and ask about the service and how it went. I told her exactly what happened and she went in to tell the dentist that I came for a teeth cleaning. Eventually I got my teeth cleaning but it was rushed and it made me feel like she was not happy about it either. Anyways, teeth cleaning was more like face washing. Had water all over my face. I had been to many Bridgeport dental offices for teeth cleaning and it’s by far the worst experience I had.
Received a reminding call for my teeth filling tomorrow from that Chinese dentist and the past experience just makes me don’t wanna go there anymore):

So, it turns out my teeth are a bit of mess, apparently for genetic reasons, because I brush and floss like a dentist’s son but inevitably end up with a new cavity or three every time I go in for a check up. (No, I don’t eat a lot of sweets.)
Dr Modi suggested a prescription for some high-​fluoride toothpaste and recommended a mouthwash with fluoride as ways to at least slow the problem (why didn’t someone prescribe this years ago!?). She also, hopefully, saved a couple of teeth from needing root canals. One was a new cavity that had blossomed nicely since I saw a dentist a year ago, and the other was an old filling that had begun to fail.
All in all, it was about as positive an experience I can have at the dentist. The facilities are new and clean, the staff are helpful and friendly, and Dr Modi’s advice and work seem to be of high quality. I’ll be going back in the future, hopefully with fewer cavities next time…

Had a 9:00 a clock appointment. It was 9 of us in total that had the same appointment. There were only 2 nurses in the back. So what do you do? You rush the cleaning. I believe my cleaning lasted less than 4 minutes and the back of my teeth, wisdom tooth and inside of my teeth were not cleaned.
In general I love that they are flexible with appointments. Also the staff is pleasant. Please take better care of my teeth next time. Also, concentrate on more quality than quantity.

Dr. Modi is very caring and compassionate. I have very high tooth sensitivity and rather than make me suffer through the cleaning, Dr. Modi rescheduled my appointment so that a dental hygienist could take the time needed to manually clean my teeth. The hygienist was fantastic, very thorough and gentle. The office is clean, has free parking, massage chairs (bonus!) and TVs on the walls for the perfect distraction for a patient like myself.

I was really looking forward to this place, including my daughter for future care. But, I did not have even chance to get treatment here. They told me it will be 2 months waiting. I was very unhappy about that, but they just made appointment as matter of fact. My teeth hurts and it is kind of emergency, but they seems not care that, and they prescribed strong Ibuprofen. Yes, keep pooping very strong Ibuprofen while I was mentioning that I am still nursing my daughter. X Ray was very uncomfortable too, very slow, took so many of them as if the assiatnt was not good at it (took long time and took too may of them, which I really concerned that too many X ray is too much radiation) I cancelled the appointment a few days later.

I had to go back in to the dentist office and saw Dr. Modi this time. My overall experience was much better than before. Because the office took my previous concerns seriously, showing care, I give this dentist office 5 stars. I would now recommend this office to others because of the customer service, their ability to be humble, and care for patients.

By far the best dental office I’ve ever been to. I don’t have dental insurance and they’ve worked with my budget the entire way. I had a tooth removed and it was a very painless procedure. They take the time to make sure you’re comfortable and the place is super clean. I developed dry socket after the tooth was removed and they helped me get it fixed the same day I called. This place is the best. I would recommend them to everyone. If you don’t have a dentist this is the place to come!

Great I been to many dentists in my life and Dr Modi is very professional.

Both my 8 year old daughter and I recently went to see Dr. Modi for the first time as she came highly recommended by a close friend. Her office is new, modern and conveniently located, the drive from downtown Chicago was only a few minutes. We were greeted warmly and given a relatively small amount of paperwork to fill out. My daughter and I have had many bad experiences with dentists, so we were both a bit nervous.
Dr. Modi came out to greet us personally; her warm smile and calm demeanor instantly put us at ease. She didn’t lecture or scold as I have experienced with other dentists.
It seems that they have thought of all the details to make going to the dentist a little less traumatic. Massage chairs and TVs in every room and headphones to drown out the noise of the high pitched drill, were some of the details that even impressed my daughter who stated, «this isn’t a scary dentist at all, Dr. Modi is so nice!».
Both Dr. Modi and her amazing assistant Elizabeth worked magic with my daughter who had to have a tooth pulled. They used a toothbrush shaped like a zebra, cartoons to distract her and a way of explaining the procedure that made it sound almost fun. The whole thing was over in barely a few minutes and she even got a cute tooth-​shaped holder to put under her pillow for the tooth-​fairy.
I recently went to a different dentist and was so uncomfortable with the experience that I sought a second opinion. Dr. Modi found things the other dentist didn’t even see, and was able to explain and show me in a way that I could understand.
Overall it was a great experience for both of us, I highly recommend her. For the first time, we look forward to going back for our 6– month check up!

I’m always wary of visiting any new dentist, but Dr. Modi assuaged my concerns from our first visit. I had her treat my girlfriend and her daughter, after being disappointed with our local Milwaukee dentists. We actually drove down to Chicago from Milwaukee when we heard Dr. Modi was opening her own practice, hoping that our dental frustrations would be over. To my delight, they were.
Her office is super clean and modern, most likely because it’s brand new. She uses digital x-​rays instead of conventional imaging, the dental chairs are equipped with massagers, and the rooms are equipped with TVs. The TV was an especially useful distraction for my 8 year old daughter, who threw a fit when Dr. Modi attempted to pull a tooth.
It’s her bedside manner and genuine concern that was most important to us though. She found several tooth issues that the Milwaukee dentists failed to notice, corrected a poorly fitted metal crown on my daughter, and uses white fillings instead of metal, which obviously look more natural.
When it comes to professional services, I’m a distrusting person by nature and always seek second opinions with major medical or dental issues. Dr. Modi, however, carries herself in such a way that it makes me feel like getting a second opinion would be moot. I probably still will — but for the first time I’ve found a dentist that I just trust, and that’s certainly a nice feeling.
