This review is for the Brew Pub and Carvery specifically.… I don’t go to a lot of sporting events; but I’ve been to enough stadiums, airports, amusement parks, etc. to know that when you’re trapped in a building for an event; the food/drink choices will be under-quality and over-priced. I’ve got friends who occasionally take me to Blackhawks games and I have to say that the Carvery is hands down, some of the best food I’ve had at a public event.(I’ve even had the opportunity to sit in some of the corporate boxes.…other than the amazing ‘dessert cart’ at the United Center/Wrigley,/US Cellular, the food itself was nothing to write home about). As mentioned in other reviews of the Carvery, there are only a few sandwiches to choose from,(mostly meat, there is one vegetarian option). I find the sandwiches to be very tasty with generous portions. And the staff is super friends.…Lady at the register is unflappable, and always calls you ‘Hon’. Although I have friends who are serious craft beer folks,(and I lean toward the Belgian whites myself); I find the Budweiser Select on tap to be a perfectly suitable beverage. You can walk out of there with a huge sandwich and a beer for around $ 20. Considering the crappy/expensive food options usually found at many arenas,(although I think overall, many stadiums are improving their food choices beyond flavorless pizza and burgers); I think this is a great value.

We stopped and ate here when we arrived early for a Bulls playoff game. For stadium food I thought it was good and the price($ 14 for a sandwich with chips) wasn’t too bad. I liked the simplicity of the menu(only 3 – 4 sandwich options). I got the corned beef and overall it was good. The beef was a little dry but I can’t complain too much because there was a whole condiment bar to try to remedy that situation. I didn’t like paying $ 1.25 extra for a tiny cup of cole slaw and the pickle was a little bland but thought the BBQ chips that came with were good.

Would give 3.5 but being generous. The carvery has pretty good corned beef sandwiches, and yes the prices are outrageous at 14 dollars, but it comes with chips, pickle and is good to split with 2 people. a very loud atmosphere, which many would not like, but your at the UC, your going to a game, and it’s better than paying 6.50 for a hot dog.

Hold the phone. This is a big name owned, mega-corp branded pub in the United Center. Newsflash: it’s going to be expensive, over-priced and not the greatest quality. The main function of a place like this is to keep beer flowing at above-market prices, offer some edible eats, have it be nice enough that patrons don’t weep into said beer, and big enough to pack ‘em in. I don’t know that it’s wise to expect expert food, craft beers and custom service. Not because these are not things for which people should strive but because it’s important to know where you are. Those above factors??? Not the point. Take a deep breath, pull out that wallet and accept your fate: American Ale(pint) — $ 9.75 Pinot Gri(admittedly, a nice pour) — $ 8.75 Stoli and cranberry — $ 10.25 It is what it is.

Very disappointed since Levy took over the concessions at the United Center from Bismarck. They immediately raised the prices and cut the portions. As an example, french fries used to be piled into one of the rectangular drink holder boxes. Now, you get about 1⁄3 what you previously got. Same goes for nachos, They also used to be to a full drink box with plenty of cheese. Now you also get 1⁄3 as much and not enough cheese to satisfy a mouse. These are just 2 examples. They raised the priced on everything. Bring back Bismarck.

I was just going through my receipts and remembered I had not reviewed this Levy Restaurant at the United Center. I don’t remember the name, but my receipt reads«Levy Restaurants» with a United Center address. Levy owns somewhat respectable restaurants in the city like Bistro 110, Fulton’s on the River, and Spiaggia. However, they know that the food service contract at the United Center is theirs so they don’t make much of an effort. semi — edible typical sports arena food like dogs, burgers, fries, pretzels etc. which have been sitting around for a while as they were dry and hard. I will say the lady at the counter was really sweet and joked around with me. I suggest to eat before you go to the UC.
