Be a part of the next generation of hair stylists, become a hair model for the stylist workshops at Charles Ifergan.

Workshops consists of licensed stylists who must master all hair styling techniques for their graduation. Plus, the whole process will be overseen by an educator who will make sure you are cared for.

Please note, that while Charles Ifergan is thankful for everyone who participates in the program, being a hair model may not be for everyone.

Please read the guidelines to learn more:

1) Must be at least 18 years old.

2) Please do not bring children to your appointment.

3) Male models not excepted

4) At times we may ask you to be patient. Sometimes we run late are shorthanded or students may have to assist a stylist. When needed, we thank you for your patience.

5) You may not request a particular student.

6) Our students will consult with you on a style. We will try to stay within the boundaries of what you desire. We do not give trims.

7) Remember they are learning. If the Educators are not satisfied, they will ask the student to re-​wet, re-​cut or re-​style your hair. The Educators must check the finished results.

8) When we practice perming, it is only for technique. No chemicals will be applied.

9) Once you’ve been or become a client of our salon, you can no longer participate in the hair cut workshop, but you can be a client for other services.

10) Our haircut workshops are free. Tipping our students is encouraged.

11) You can purchase all the products we us.

Owner of Chicago’s most exclusive salons and a newly launched hair product line, award-​winning hairstylist Charles Ifergan is nationally renowned for his style, design expertise, and a «We don’t follow trends. We create them» attitude.

After four years as one of Chicago’s top stylists, Charles opened his first salon in 1973 on rue de la Fashion — Oak Street — combining his vision of fashion and architecture. His growing clientele and a keen eye for opportunity and aesthetics, led Charles to expand his Chicagoland presence to Deerfield and Oakbrook. Charles and his team quickly became one of the Windy City’s leading salons responsible for the locks on some of Chicago’s most prominent women and men. His work has even been featured in leading fashion magazines and is a frequent TV guest on Good Morning America and various other news programs. Charles has received many prestigious awards, including being named Editor’s Choice for «Regional Hair Designer of the Year.»
