Computer Training Source, Inc. has locations in Chicago, Schaumburg, Naperville, and Northbrook. CTS conducts computer training classes in:

Microsoft Office 2010⁄2013 (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint);

Adobe Creative Suite CS6 (Acrobat, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Première);

QuickBooks;

Web Development: HTML, Internet Marketing, JavaScript and jQuery, MySQL, PHP, Wordpress, CSS;

Other: PMP, A+, CTT+, Typing, and 3DS Max.

The instructor’s computer screen is projected in front of the room. All students are at our computers during the training. The classes are usually small groups of 6 to 10 students. Your choice of a PC or Mac is available for many classes. A free retake, up to six months after the date of your class, is available.

Established in 1991.

CTS began in 1991 with one classroom. We now have 7 classrooms located in Chicagoland: downtown, Naperville, Schaumburg, and Northbrook. We’ve trained thousands of businesses and individuals!

I just took two HTML courses at the Chicago location this week. One word: Excellent. I was so impressed with the structure of the course which combines both theory and practice. Both courses start right away with showing you how to develop a web page using HTML and providing clear explanations on the logic behind each concept.
Both instructors, Dan and Ryan, were fun, knowledgeable, and patient. They both were very passionate about the subject which kept the energy level high and made it more interesting, and it created a sense of confidence in me that I could grasp the concepts.
I’d like to add that the location was really easy to find and perfect for me since I rely on public transportation. The facility is really nice, airy, and the training labs are intimate. I also like that they have a break room that is open to students. I’m dieting so I didn’t need to eat out!
I recommend you try a course. I will be going back to take the CSS course later in the year.

There are not enough good things to say about the staff at CTS. From my initial phone call, to the start of my participation in their Administrative Assistant Program, professionalism is the first word that comes to mind.
The instructors are all well versed in the various programs. Each bringing a unique perspective to the software. For an instructor to open up Excel for me, where it all makes sense, well there was a huge sigh of relief from this gal. The staff here really care about the students, and making sure the understanding is there. FYI-​you can retake any class within 6 months. Pretty good in my estimation. You also take home a substantial binder as well as a disc containing all of the exercises covered in that day’s lessons.
I’ve just begun, and feel like I’ve come so far already. Taking a course at CTS is a worthy investment in your future.

Took HTML yesterday and Adobe Fireworks later in the week. Immediately when I walked in the receptionist was extremely friendly and attentive. She made me feel very comfortable and made sure I knew where the classroom/​break room and restrooms were. (The break room has a fridge and microwave if you bring your own lunch which they don’t indicate on the website but it’s good to know.) Even in passing other staff or instructors, everyone was friendly and welcoming.
I usually find training classes to be boring and tedious however the instructor was enthusiastic and attentive to everyone in the small class. The equipment was all new and clean (there’s nothing worse than computer training on a keyboard storing grime from thousands of previous users) and properly functioning.
Materials covered were as expected and the cost of the class was reasonable and you can ‘re-​take’ a class you’ve already taken any time 6 months after. It’s apparent that this place has their sh*t together. If you need a low cost way to learn new or improve computer skills I highly recommend CTS.

I took the Excel 2010 class and it was great. The School was organized and clean and the instructor was very knowledgeable and easy to follow. I would strongly recommend this school to anyone.

I am a computer science grad but have been out of the workforce for 10 years. Thinking about getting back in and found CTS to help get me ready. CTS offers great classes, has knowledgeable teachers that keep the classes interesting and upbeat, and even allows free retakes of any class. I have taken advanced Excel, HTML and Dreamweaver CS5 so far, and plan to take several more. Course materials include practice files to take home on a cd in addition to the course manuals which are great reference materials. I would highly recommend CTS.

I am so happy I finally took a class in HTML. I was very nervous at first because I have ZERO experience. Thankfully, as soon as class started, I realized it was not a problem. The class moved at a great pace for all the users, experienced or not. I took both beginning and intermediate HTML and loved them both. I had Bob as my instructor and he was so helpful and nice. I learned so much and the next week back at work — I was writing HTML! If you need help understanding HTML — as a refresher or as a beginner — take your class here!

Started my Certified Project Manager program in June and am truly enjoying myself. The instructors and the management team are very helpful and patient as well! As part of my program I am also taking web development classes, and was pleasantly surprised at how the instructors made my learning process seamless. After taking introductory excel course, I found that the information was presented in a very straight forward, professional manner. Having used excel for years now, I thought I was proficient — but actually saw that I had a lot to learn. I would easily recommend taking one of these courses to someone learning the program.
