I wish I could give zero stars! SCUM of SCAM ‘ SCUM of SCAM SCUM of SCAM
They scammed my Mom (73 years old) out of $ 4,000 with a junk car —
Worse, 8 months later, no title and no plates — «Mike» is a scam artist who took advantage of a senior citizen — Elizabeth C, please contact me if possible — I’m on board with you to investigate these scam artists — Please… Stay away from these guys!!!

Warning! My husband was looking for a used car on Craigslist and we went to see a car and ended up at Cook County Motors. My husband paid $ 2100 cash for a used car and that was to include the title, registration, plates, taxes which he said we would receive in 4 — 6 weeks. It is 90 days later and my temporary plates he gave us will expire tomorrow. We have called NUMEROUS times and 99% of the time we do not get anyone to call us back. The FEW times we have called and someone has answered, they tell us their was an issue with the title and they JUST submitted it to the Secretary of State and we should get in 3 weeks. Well, 90 days later, we called Secretary of State and the car is still registered in prev owners name.
So, today we went to the Secretary of State Police in Villa Park, IL to talk to an investigator and to get an extention on our temporary plate. While we were filling out the paperwork, a lady came in and to our surprise, she was there to file an investigation on Cook County Motors. Then, another person came in and he was there for Cook County Motors too. All three of us were there for the same company for the exact same issue. We all exchanged contact information so we can keep in touch with any findings or news.
We have filed a complaint on the Better Business Bureau site as well.
