Had a horrible experience here with rude, over served men who harassed my wife and other female friends of mine. After trying to be civil and rational they began shouting sexist slurs at my wife. We left and called to speak to a manager after having no luck locating anyone at the bar. Told me that they would email me the next day and that they wanted to make it right. That was 4 days ago.

Wish I could write a positive review. The food is great, quality beer selection, and very kind wait staff. Too bad they don’t defend their patrons. Was harassed by a group of men the entire time I was there. Was called horrible names and forced to leave. Management did nothing even after being informed. Hope all the classless men in this city keep your place open because this woman will never be called a c*nt again

I came here after work for dinner. It’s across the street from my house so convenience was key. I had checked out their specials online and decided to order the special of the night which was 3 sliders for $ 5. They came with some potato chips so I was glad I didn’t order French fries I also got the buffalo blue cheese chicken rolls which were $ 9. The portion size was huge. 3 egg rolls cut long ways. They taste exactly as you’d imagine with blue cheese dipping sauce. After about half of them the flavor was too much and I had to stop. The bartender was not super attentive even tho I was one of 3 people at a very slow bar. He was chatting with coworkers as I was trying to catch his eye for more water or to eventually get the check. The manager noticed I was wearing a Blackhawks shirt and asked if I wanted her to change the channel so I could watch the game(over the NCAAF basketball tourney games) so she’s gets extra points. I will probably be back due to proximity.

And friends and I went to Crossing to watch some basketball, and overall, this is a typical sports bar, and definitely a Kansas bar. To me, this was in the middle of nowhere, since I was just staying in Chicago for the weekend. The cab ride took a long time, but we were there to be with friends who went to Kansas, so it made sense. I wouldn’t say this is a good place for large groups, because there are a lot of tables everywhere and not much room to stand at the bar. Actually, there’s no room to stand at the bar. The drinks are cheap enough, and of course you weren’t spending downtown Chicago prices for beer. The bar was typical bar food, and they have a beer and fish & chips special for $ 10. I’m not that much into the fried foods, though. Overall, not a bad place, but don’t know why I would come here unless I went to Kansas and wanted to watch a game.

They have surprisingly good food here. The boulevard salad is phenomenal. You can also get it as a wrap. I took my parents here and was not sure how much they would like it as it is a bar, however my mom said the turkey burger was the best turkey burger she had ever tried. I tried it another time I came and it was really great! This place doesn’t really seem to get too busy on weekend nights, which is nice if you do not want to fight for bar space and seats :)

The food is awesome! I had the turkey burger and will share that this isn’t standard bar food. It was flavorful, juicy and served with perfectly ripe avocado. I added the pepper jack cheese for extra spice and it was delicious. The only downside is the noise level that makes it difficult to talk at dinner. Lastly, this is a KU bar but I am a Jayhawks fan!

Great spot, great service… but avoid the pizza. Me Me a pizza boy, and this pizza was just too greasy and soggy. Perhaps ask for it well done and that could fix the soggy crust problem. I’ll go back for another try only because the service was good. Me Me a pizza boy, and Me Me shall try again. Will –The Pizza Boy 101

My friend and I stopped into Crossing for the first time on our way back from a movie nearby. We absolutely loved it! The venue had a very fun, energetic atmosphere, and our bartender Chelsea was so friendly and provided great customer service. We will definitely be returning!

I have been to Crossing many times in the last few months — from drinks on a Saturday night to lunch/dinner, it always delivers! As I’m sure the other reviews state, Crossing has plenty of tables, booths, and TVs available for watching any game; be careful if there is a big Kansas or Notre Dame game on that day or the place might be crowded with those respective fans. One very unique feature of Crossing is the booths in the front have smaller TVs next to the Booth so those sitting on the inside are able to watch any game with no issue at all. One very underrated part of Crossing is the food — it is delicious! The burgers have great portion sizes and their salads are gigantic; I highly recommend the Southwest Salad. Finally, bartenders and servers are always kind and very attentive. Couldn’t recommend Crossing enough!

I can not even describe the gratitude for customer service I recieved tonight. My take out order I had ordered was wrong(I have many food allergies, so my food often gets messed up) but it wasnt noticed till I got home. I called Crossing and described the problem. Not only were they so great on the phone but one of the managers, TJ, hand delivered me a brand new order and offered to debit my card back for the misunderstanding. Like i said, I often deal with orders being wrong and completely understand them but never ever have I had such an amazing experience.

The food is really good the owner is cool. The bouncer is friendly. The bartenders are cool when they are in a good mood. My only beef with the place is when you have a tab you have to check your bill closly. Last night I had 18 shots on my tab when I think I had 12 maybe just maybe 14. It wasn’t the extra shots on my tab that bothers me it’s that in trusting the bartender with my debit or credit card and to make sure the drinks, shots or food I order is on the bill and not anyone else’s.

Here for a private party in the rear beer garden. I had et previously, so I didn’t order anything beyond cocktails when everyone else did. When the food came, the guys I were with told me I had to taste the stuff ‘cos it was really good, and it was. I’m writing this review a few months after I was there, so I can’t remember exactly what I had, but the boys ordered a bunch of different stuff, and I tasted a tad of everything, and my notes say 4 stars and«why did I eat before I came here?» Everything was tip-top…

Pretty great neighborhood sports bar. Got pulled in here for a Royals game with some friends from Kansas City and was very pleasantly surprised. Kind of a random area as its a bit south of the prime southport corridor so wouldn’t really think to come down here. But it’s a great setup for watching a game, all the booth tables have personal tv’s right in the wall along with plenty of big tv’s all over for watching the games. They also had a local Kansas City beer that my friends got me to try, so kind of fun for something different. They also have crazy margaritas that come with a small corona and little bottle of grand marnier upside down inside. Tasted great, though I’d already had my fair share of drinks by then so don’t know if you can trust my judgment! Overall, great setup for watching a game, looking forward to checking it out again for another game sometime!

The patio area is nice and the food is decent but my waitress was really rude and we found not 1 but 4 insects in our drink(Old Fashioned, most likely were in the sugar mix they used in the drink). The customers can be kind of toolish so the atmosphere isn’t great but after the bug thing I’ll never go back.

Great neighborhood spot. When it’s nice out they have a great outdoor patio, one of the best! Weekly specials at decent, good place to stop for trivia, a weekday dinner, or game day on the weekend(NCAA or NFL). Also discovered there was live music in the summer-nice edition! Overall good spot, friendly staff, and good service.

Came here just for drinks because I didn’t see anything on the menu that I liked. This bar is really kool. They have an awesome back beer garden with beer pong and tons of seats, including an entire full outdoor bar, couches, and tvs. I would come back at night to hang out but probably not to eat.

DONOTCOMEHEREDURINGANYIMPORTANTEVENT! here for a Hawks game right now, the bouncer called my friend a «dumb girl» in line, saying she didn’t understand how lines work. Then, halfway through when my two other friends(who were the only two people in line) were denied, the bouncer got in my face and wouldn’t let me speak. Like, you’re a bouncer at The Crossing, not God. At one point, one of the servers went over and yelled at the bouncer because so many tables were waiting for their friends in line that he wouldn’t let inside. It was also raining. On the flip side, our servers were amazing. They split tabs on a 10 top, God bless them. The male workers around here need to get a life.

Simply put, do not book a private party with Crossing. If your party happens to coincide with a major sporting event(such as Hawks-Ducks game 7) you will be treated like a nuisance and not like a customer by the short, bald manager with anger issues. «He’s an angry elf.» He will tell you all about how you are costing him revenue(though my group of 30 friends were likely to make that up quickly). He will berate you in front of the entire bar for simply asking that your friends who are there for the private party can actually, you know, get in the door. He will be condescending and rude at every turn of your conversation. He will not, think creatively about a solution to your problem. He will not, communicate to you that he arbitrarily decided to stop letting your friends in for the party at 7.30PM(though had he, we would’ve happily let our friends know they needed to be on time or they’d have to stand in the rain). He will not treat you like a human being deserving of the slightest amount of respect whatsoever. I can’t imagine he enjoys his job being surrounded by all of these icky humans every night. So we left the bar an hour after our party was supposed to have started and salvaged the night elsewhere. I hope this guy missed his short-term revenue goal for the night that he kept referring to. I hadn’t even finished one beer yet. I can’t imagine how he treats an incoherent drunk person with a problem. So, just go to the other Four Corners bars, and don’t go to this one. PS — our waitstaff were incredible and apologetic through the whole ordeal. They’re awesome so if you decide to keep going here, tip them well.

Servers are always accommodating and friendly whenever we come here, regardless of it being packed! Great place to watch games with friends(or just hang out); screens on every square inch of wall. Don’t hesitate to ask about flipping channel to a particular game – we’ve never been turned down. Downside: If you Über home, there’s always a surcharge on this street. Always. Like I mean Mon/10p, still surcharge. Cray. Moral of the story, always bring a designated driver with you when coming here.

Love this place! Walking distance from my house. Food and drink specials everyday. Big screen TVs everywhere to watch your favorite team. What more could you ask for. I’ve sampled almost everything from the menu(the fish tacos are my favorite). Usually bar food can be a toss up. But the Crossing serves good pizza, sandwiches, burgers and nachos. Yum! Great neighborhood bar.

Didn’t know what to expect before heading to this bar to watch a KU game. However, I knew shortly after walking in it was a good spot. Great vibe and a great food. I would recommend the chicken nachos and mini-burgers for sure. The amount of tvs that are in this place is completely insane and completely perfect! Great sports bar and even better KU bar!

This is one of my favorite spots to watch the Kansas game and to dine! As all other four-corners bars the food is awesome. The best chicken nachos in Chicago, the bison burger is amazing, and you can’t go wrong with the tacos! And the seasoned fries(drool). Oh and can I mention the skillet cookie?! For drinks the fish bowls are a blast to share amongst friends, as well as they have amazing Moscow mules and some good beers on tap! In the summer the patio is a blast and it also has a huge tv out there! Here is a tip for those who are coming to watch KU games: get there no later then about 2 hours prior to tip off! The place gets packed and if you want to be close to a tv then you have to come early! They don’t take reservations and the back booths are only for large groups, but it’s first come first serve. I’ve learned my lesson several times! By 6 or 630pm for an 8pm game all the seats are taken! Rock chalk! Also for any out of towners– the street parking is supper easy!

Crossing Tavern is a great place to catch a game! Hubby and I went here to watch the World Cup Final. Tables are first come, first serve(unless reserved ahead of time), so we were lucky enough to snag the last non-reserved booth toward the front of the bar. The booth had comfy seating and two personal flat screens along the back of the table to watch the game closely, that is, if you didn’t want to use any of the multiple large screens located at strategic places within the entire bar. They also have a nice outdoor beer garden area in the back. Food was great and a good variety of small and big plates. We tried the Edamame with the lemon-salt seasoning rather than the spicy soy sauce. So good. Hubby enjoyed the Mini Cheeseburgers. I had the Southwest Wrap, which was so big I could only eat one half and box the other. We also ordered a Pretzel to share. The best was the Skillet Cookie, which came in a big or mini version. Hubby and I each got our own mini, which was the perfect size of indulgence without feeling too guilty. Service was surprisingly attentive throughout the game, despite the bar being crowded and packed. Our server kept an eye on us and made sure we had what we needed. It wasn’t hard to flag her down either. She was great and wasn’t overwhelmed with how busy it was. If only this was an ACC-friendly bar!

Can you even give an accurate rating to a bar when you show up during March Madness? I arrived on a Saturday night during the Elite 8, so the place was packed. Herds of humans descended on the Crossing to get drunk and scream at flat screen TVs. I appreciated how each booth had smaller screens in addition to the big ones overhead. It’s a great place to watch a game, provided you can get a seat. And that’s a HUGE gamble. As I said, the place was packed on our arrival, so we squeezed through a wall-to-wall human skin maze to grab some drinks at the bar. We huddled around an abandoned table to chat and drink. At some point, some other bystanders decided to order food. When it arrived, they commandeered our table without asking and sat down to eat. Cool, guys. Way to be all Russia to our Ukraine. When the final game of the night ended, we pounced on an empty booth and finally got a waitress. I ordered the boneless wings($ 10 for about ten wings). Boneless wings can be a hit-or-miss prospect, but these were good. I also jumped on the jalepeño cheese-stuffed soft pretzel($ 3.50), which was awesome. The Crossing is unpretentious, which is a major win in my book. Also, Fat Tire is on tap, which automatically adds a star to any rating. If you go when there isn’t a massive sporting event happening, I bet this place is all aces.
