Daniel was an excellent choice as our wedding DJ. He really knew how to read the crowd and listened and played all of our favorite song choices mixed with his go-​to selections… played all at the exact right time.
He also edited our first songs so we did not have to be the center of attention for longer than needed!

I have a phrase for when everything goes as well as you could have imagined «You remember what happened to the boy who got everything he wanted? He lived happily ever after». This is how I feel about Daniel and his work. We hired Daniel for our out of town wedding. My husband and I have worked in the music and theater industry for years and could have easily cobbled something together, but we realized that on our special day we needed someone equally as awesome to take charge of the vibe, jive, and energy. I do not have adequate words to express his kindness or talent. We are eternally grateful we found him. Please look no further and place your trust in Daniel!

We’ve been married a year. And I’m not sure any of our wedding guests could tell you what they ate, but every single one of them still talks about how fun and amazing the music was at our reception. Daniel made it happen. He’s truly a terrific DJ. Not only was he responsive to our requests, but he anticipated things we didn’t even know we needed — like music to cut the cake. Who knew? Well, Daniel did. Because he is reliable and experienced. This is a man who can read the vibe of an eclectic group of people. He managed to get our oddball cousins, college buddies and parents’ coworkers out of their seats and onto the dance floor. They did not stop jiving for the rest of the night. And no, it was not the booze. Talents aside, Daniel is just a nice and pleasant guy. He put us at ease during an otherwise hectic day. This is the DJ you want to help you celebrate life’s big moments. You want him to create the soundtrack of your friends’ and family’s big moments, too. He’s just that good.

We hired Daniel for our wedding, and not only were were thrilled to have him, but after the wedding we had people asking where we found him. He was always quick to respond to our questions and even had a meeting with us a few weeks before the wedding to go over the details. Daniel brought up good points that I didn’t even think about. During the wedding he was helpful in making sure the ceremony /​reception would run smooth. Once the music started, no one left the dance floor. He has a gift by feeling the vibe of the group, so he pretty much knows what music to play. I would highly recommend him.

When my husband and I initially booked Daniel to DJ our wedding in Washington, DC on March 2013, we found his rate to be slightly hire than your standard wedding DJ. I will be honest in saying that this initially made us a little skeptical. However, as we researched and met with other DJs, we never walked away with the same feeling of confidence or assurance that we had when speaking with Daniel. And when you have a very important event, that’s the kind of feeling that you strive to have. You want to know that everything will go better than you could have even planned. I think my husband put it best when he said «I’m not sure exactly what it is, but I know that when we’re booking Daniel, we’re paying for something that we want to have».
And that’s exactly how it turned out. Our wedding guests ranged in ages from 4 to 90 and throughout the entire night, all of them were on the dance floor, including our teenage siblings! Daniel had something for everyone. When we first met with Daniel, my husband casually mentioned that a portion of his family was from Ghana. Being the thoughtful DJ that Dan is, he actually played Ghanian music at the beginning of our wedding and got the party started! We didn’t ask him to nor did we know that he was going to do it. Those are the kinds of special touches that Daniel includes in your event that makes it unforgettable.
Throughout the night, all of our guests kept telling us how great Daniel was. He not only played classic timeless pieces, but played current, soulful music as well. He even cared enough to consult us when the guests came up to request different musical selections. He wanted to make sure that we were cool with it. From beginning to end, Daniel consulted us in every aspect of the process. He wanted to know our must plays to our don’t plays list. He made us feel as if he was DJing for the President and First Lady!
If my husband and I ever come out to Chicago, we’ll be sure and research where Daniel might be DJing. I guarantee you that you won’t regret it!

Daniel DJed our wedding in August 2012 and was a-​mazingggggggg! He was the perfect combination of super-​laid back, thorough, and professional through the planning process… even accommodating an extensive list of millions of requests! Most importantly, on the day of the wedding, he was able to use music to make the atmosphere so wonderful! I hired Daniel to DJ my wife’s 40^th birthday party and could not have been happier with his work. He arrived very early to make sure all of the venue’s equipment was properly working and ultimately had to guide them through getting things in order since they did not seem to have the expertise, his music was great (which I’ll get to below), and he even stayed late when people were having fun and did not want to leave when expected. Daniel was very professional and in touch with me multiple times leading up to event. He did a fantastic job of setting the right tone with the music for the early part of the evening during cocktails/​dinner and then building into more and more dance music as the night went on. He seamlessly worked in a number of my wife’s favorites but also was very creative with his own selections within the genres we had in mind, which is what we were looking for — not just someone to play songs we would select. It was clear that he had put in real time to preparation. Several of our friends commented on the great music and were asking to somehow get their hands on Daniel’s playlist for the evening. I would happily work with Daniel again.

My wife and I couldn’t be more happy with Daniel Ssebowa Musisi, who DJ’d our wedding on 10÷11÷12. We had a few interviews with various wedding DJ’s. One of whom seemed overtly arrogant; we didn’t want that type of energy at our wedding. After we first spoke with Daniel, we knew he would be the one. He is very easy going — calm and collected and it’s easy to see why he’s such a highly rated DJ. Daniel made himself readily available at all times, especially in the days leading up to our wedding. We gave Daniel a list of our preferred tracks and trusted in his artistic inclinations as to what would mesh with the tracks we chose. The result was truly amazing. He had everyone on the dance floor, young and old throughout the evening. We received so many compliments on our music that day. Daniel is a consummate professional and I highly recommend him for your wedding. You will be happy you booked him.

Stunning! Moose is not just a master mixer with an ear to a fine groove and a fresh beat, he is a superb professional who gives you 5 Star Hotel style concierge service. We picked him to DJ our wedding because Moose’s DJ style is intoxicatingly eclectic with the talent to mix seemingly disparate tracks, and take a whole dance floor on a roller coaster ride of a great time. He did not disappoint. I was worried that a star club DJ would be hard to work with, so i was extremely relieved with how smooth and easy he was to work with. Very accommodating. And the surprise bonus? As the wedding wrapped up at mid-​night, with the party still wanting to go on, i turned to him in a panic. «Moose, what now? Where do we go?» he made a phone call to one of the most exclusive clubs in Washington, DC, and got 30 party people in with no problems. that’s some ridiculous juice. Hire him.

We are really happy that we chose Daniel as our wedding DJ. We had a multicultural wedding and really wanted to find a DJ who could play both Indian and American music. But, we really didn’t want the DJ to play just the typical Indian or American wedding songs and wanted him to somewhat customize to our tastes. We met with a couple of other DJs for our wedding who seemed like good DJs but pretty much had their wedding playlist set and walked us through the music they tend to play at weddings. With Daniel we really felt like he customized the play list to us. He didn’t really go through any typical play list at our first meeting. He shared a sample play list from a previous wedding and said that he has played in lots of different settings, is comfortable with various types of music, including international music, and could play anything we wanted. We gave him a selection of some Indian and American music that we liked, told him names of some artists we liked, and he took it from there and everything turned out great. He went out and found many of the more unique songs we requested. He also set up the sound system for our outdoor wedding and stayed in regular communication with us throughout the process. At our wedding, he had the DJ table decorated with some old album covers of Ravi Shankar and other Indian artists — we really appreciated that extra touch. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience with Daniel and would strongly recommend him.

I’ll echo all of the wonderful things others have said about Daniel. My wife and I decided right out of the gate, based on our experience with Daniel, that we wanted him to DJ our wedding — it was one of the first decisions we made, and it was absolutely the right call. He was easy to coordinate with, provided helpful feedback about songs we might want to use, and of course did an outstanding job at the actual event. He worked seamlessly with the technical staff at our venue so everything ran smoothly during the roughly 6 hour wedding and reception. And I don’t know what metric others use to measure the success of a wedding DJ, but Daniel had my 85 year old grandmother dancing to the Beastie Boys by the end of the night, so you’ll get no complaints from me!

Daniel was such a pleasure to work with as a wedding DJ. The first DJ we spoke to became unresponsive and unreliable. Daniel was the complete opposite. He worked with our wedding playlist to make sure we got to hear exactly the music we wanted to hear when we wanted to hear it. And he threw in some tracks he choose to get the party started.
Daniel created the perfect moods for the cocktail hour, the dinner and the dancing portion of our wedding party.

Daniel DJed our wedding in April and we lucked out. My husband put together a list of of music that we like and from there, Daniel created a terrific playlist.
He was able to strike a balance that appealed to a wide age range (and taste range) and we were stoked to see so many of our guests dancing!
We had a great time working with him and it felt like he completely understood what we were going for and was happy to make it happen.
From the get-​go, he was super professional and went above and beyond. He accompanied us on a walk-​through to get a feel for the space, he arrived early every time we were scheduled to meet, was tremendously flexible and helpful the day of, and was very conscientious.

Daniel DJ’d our wedding last month and it was perfect. I planned everything myself, and as much as I tried to put together an iron clad music list, the reality was that I was just too busy. I ended up offering some «suggestions» and then just handing the reins over to Daniel. Glad I did! My husband and I were so happy with his set, our guests loved it across all demographics, and the flow was perfect. He is also a total pleasure to work with, just eager to make the experience great for you and your guests no matter what the genres of music you prefer. He gave me lists that other couples had given him and they were all over the map, and he gladly accommodated them. Was really happy with this choice for a vendor!
