Design Womb was established in 2010. President & Graphic Designer Nicole LaFave has award-​winning work with over 10 years & counting in the professional design industry.

Business Owner

Acclaimed designer Nicole LaFave is the lone principal of Design Womb and is a Michigan-​to-​Los Angeles-​to-​San Francisco-​to-​Chicago transplant. LaFave services clients around the globe and maintains a close-​knit relationship with California.

LaFave has worked for an array of clients on award-​winning work published in PRINT Magazine, Communication Arts, Pie Books, and Vogue.

LaFave is also widely recognized for her branding, marketing, and shoe design as the creative director of Omelle, which she co-​founded and launched in 2008. Responsible for Omelle’s shoe design, LaFave traveled to Italy to source and oversee product development and manufacturing for the luxury women’s shoe line.

She believes design should be beautiful and utilitarian and has a special place in her heart for knitting, Michigan, food, the Womb Chair, and dogs. Especially pugs.
