Not really sure what the hype is about here. We had them come out knowing that we had the difficult task of replacing our dryer vents due to them not being to code, however our neighbors (with similar unit layout to ours) had used Dryer Vent Wizard so we somewhat knew what to expect. Their unit was able to be done with two small-​ish (maybe 8×8 inches) holes in the ceiling. The person that did their unit looked at ours as well and said we’d need 1 – 2 holes of similar size. Not ideal, but worth it due to the increased safety we’d have. We scheduled the replacement, but unfortunately the same person did not come out to do ours that did our neighbors.
When he arrived in our unit I was told we’d need 3 – 4 holes in our ceiling. Still expecting an 8x8ish size, I said that was fine to go ahead. I came back later to find that we had 3 holes, one around 24×24 inches (!) in size, another probably 18×8 and the last maybe 12×12. The huge holes caused two garbage bags full of insulation to fall from the ceiling. When our neighbors had this done, Dryer Vent Wizard brought caps to cover up the holes — but this was not an option for us due to the much larger size of the holes. If they make caps for such holes, wouldn’t you try to keep the holes around the size of the caps? I didn’t feel as though ANY care was taken to keep the holes minimal at all. Now not only do we have to patch and paint the ceiling but we also have to replace all of our lost insulation. Maybe worst of all we have huge dents in our drywall from his ladder, again making me feel like little care was taken to limit the damage to our unit.
We fully understand it was a difficult job which most importantly had to be done to ensure our safety, and at the end of the day yes they did do the service we paid for. That said, we’re not super happy with the additional costs we’ll be incurring in order to clean up this mess and really feel like some of it could have been avoided if more caution had been taken to not destroy our ceiling and walls.

Excellent service. Revented a problem dryer. In this old building, there are usually unexpected problems even with simple changes/​repairs, and this time was no exception. Mory solved the problem and charged a reasonable amount for a not-​so-​simple reventing. Highy recommended.

This guy Morry is amazing. Super nice, smart. He diagnosed my terrible dryer, replaced the hoses, educated me about how my developer broke code rules for flexible hoses inside walls, cleaned ‘em all out. Now my dryer takes about 20 minutes to dry a full load of wet cotton towels. Hire this guy without delay!

Manny was on time, professional, and super sweet! Our dryer smelled like burning and he was more than happy to explain the problem, show me what was wrong, how everything works, and give me tips for keeping the lint screen clean! The whole thing took less than a half an hour.

I had Mory of the Chicago office visit my place on 8÷31÷2012. I was very comfortable having him in our building and in my home. He was very prompt and professional. The dryer vent exits the building on the second floor. Mory was able to inspect the system inside and out. I had my dryer vent cleaned, inside of dryer cleaned, and a new vent installed after moving in to my new condo. Manny was helpful and patient explaining to me all aspects of the job and the rational behind what they were doing. He was very thorough and friendly, and went above and beyond my expectations!
It’s rare to find such honest and good-​natured people. Dryer Vent Wizard may not win on price, but it’s well worth it to get it done right the FIRST time and have the backing of Manny if anything goes wrong.
