E&C’s menu has its roots firmly planted in traditional British fare, featuring such pub classics as Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash and Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding. The menu is rounded out by a wide variety of North American comfort foods and sophisticated offering from around the world.

E&C’s drink offerings provide guests with a significant selection of beer, wine and spirits. At its core is the Love

of Beer program that focuses on serving the perfect imperial pint of a variety of local craft and import beers. As such, E&C is the preferred destination for guests who appreciate a well-​crafted beer.

History

Established in 1977.

Elephant&Castle® opened its first North American pub and restaurant in 1977 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. E&C’s distinct atmosphere and selection of popular British Classics made it an instant success! E&C’s combination of British Classics and North American favorites coupled with an extensive beer list and collection of Scotch whisky has made E&C the favorite neighborhood pub and restaurant in North America to eat, drink and enjoy!

Today, E&C has grown to over 18 restaurants across the United States and Canada from Toronto, Boston, and Chicago to Vancouver, San Diego, and San Francisco. This record of 30 years of stability and success is due to E&C’s continued commitment to be the standard of what North American consumers demand of a British pub and restaurant concept — Bang On Food, Bang On Drinks, and Bang On Service!
