Brought a broken hard drive to have checked out. I live close by so it was very convenient for me. They provide free diagnostics and are very professional. Unfortunately they couldn’t recover my data for me, but they were very informative and helped direct me to someone that could fix it. Very nice experience

Had a wonderful experience! At first, I looked to Apple but it was a complete waste of time. Not only were they booked, but they couldn’t fix any phone with a slight bend. Right away, I called Gadget Geeks, brought the iPhone 6 in, and within 25 minutes, it looked brand new! I’ve gotten my phone fixed by Apple before, and this display/​LCD was the same quality. They were extremely helpful and had cool entertainment while waiting such as iPads, table games, etc. Definitely Recommend!

Dropped IPhone and cracked screen. Gadget Geeks were recommended by friend and I am very pleased he did. Located conveniently just south of Congress in Printer’s Row– they repaired my screen while I waited (½ hour) for $ 99. No Apple store headaches. Very friendly and professional service. Highly recommmended

walked and to have my iPhone looked at and was given all the prices and scenarios up front… took about ½ hr and they fixed it for under $ 40, not to mention that they were friendly and helpful… will definitely come back if the need presents itself

I walked into this store with a broken phone, and the directions to get to the store written messily on my wrist. It’s safe to say I’m a little lost without the maps app. All of the workers greeted me with a smile, and the whole shop had such a welcoming atmosphere. They fixed my phone in no more than 30 minutes and it was only $ 109. Which is a REALLY good price for how damaged it was, honestly I was so relieved. They also offered $ 5 off a glass sticker phone screen cover thingy so it would be $ 15. This is a GREAT place and it needs to be TREASURED.

What a pleasant surprise to find out Gadget Geeks opened in the South Loop. They repair iPhones, Samsung devices and tablets, service computers, printers and more. I was more than satisfied with the services rendered. The «Geeks» are very professional and pleasant and the cost of services are more than reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised that the turnaround time for my repairs was only a couple of days.
I am happy to give Gadget Geeks 5 stars.

My phone was severely cracked and even missing pieces, so I came here and they fixed the screen in under 45 min. They even applied a tempered glass protector for me as well. Great quality and awesome service… would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I brought my iPhone 6+ for a screen replacement, my screen was shattered, I dropped the phone there and in 45 minutes my phone was ready and looked new, I couldn’t believe that it was the same phone. Affordable and fast, very recommendable, I prefer these places than some shop at the mall just because of the great customer service.

Awesome service!!! Called in a panic because my computer battery wasn’t saving a charge during one of my busiest/​most stressful school days – they got me right in to check things out and with the promise that they would do whatever they could to get my computer back in time for my class/​presentation. Talk about great customer service! Everyone at the store is really knowledgeable and friendly – as soon as I walked in, I knew my computer was in good hands. I had my machine back to me in under an hour and for a reasonable price. I can’t say enough good things about this place – I will definitely only use them for all my computer needs in the future!
Bonus: its conveniently located all well – walking distance from DePaul’s Loop campus and all those universities in that area

I’ve been here many times and have been happy every single time with the services. I had cracked phone screens, broken power ports, broken power buttons, back ups, all that from various devices (phones, laptops, ipads) and they fixed it usually immediately, sometimes later the same day or next day. Very nice and friendly service too.
They have become the go-​to spot for tech repairs for my whole family and take care of our tech issues that are either beyond our skills or we find too time consuming/​annoying to do. Highly recommend gadget geeks!

Dropped my iPhone and of course shattered my screen! I honestly did not want to wait in the horrible line at Apple nor did I want to deal with the excessive crowd! I found gadget geeks and they did the job! Brought my phone in and in 30 minutes my phone was fixed! It cost $ 99.99 not a bad cost for how convenient and fast it was!
If you need a phone fixed. Just come here they get the job done right!

Don’t tell people 30 – 40 minutes and then have them come back and sit around for another 40 minutes. That is extremely annoying and I’d rather be told to come back in an hour.

This place is great! They fixed my broken screen in under 45 minutes and it was very affordable. The staff/​owners are very friendly. I also went back later for a charger for my MacBook Air. It wasn’t charging with my old one. The guy working asked if i lived close and if i could bring my computer to make sure it works. Well thankfully i didn’t end up needing to buy a new charger cause the connection just needed to be cleaned. I will definitely use them whenever i need stuff to be fixed or replaced! Support local!

They are really awesome! I went there with my iPhone 5s that was basically demolished, screen falling off and frame bent. I got a living social coupon to fix the screen. When they saw how bad my phone was they said it needed a new frame, which they provided at no extra cost. It also took longer to fix than a typical screen job because it was more work, but they didn’t charge me any more for that either. They also gave me another iphone for the day while they fixed my phone. Super customer service!

Would highly recommend these guys! I was nervous to leave my phone with a stranger I am not going to lie, but was very impressed with Rojelio. Picked up my phone and my office and dropped it back off to my so I didn’t even have to leave my office. He initially told me it could take over 2 hours but I had my phone back in 1 hour. Great job!

I recently broke my phone and found the thought of going with a phone for a couple of days to be extremely painful. The insurance company said it could take up to a week to replace my phone so I decided to find a local repair shop, after calling around I selected Gadget Geeks because their price was fair and they were able to fix my phone the same day while I waited.
I was told what they would be doing before they started the repair and told how long it would take, they fixed the phone while I waited and they even let me use their ipad to occupy myself while waiting and it was quicker than they told me. I like the idea of this shop because it is locally owned and operated. I really get the feeling that the owner stands behind his work and was truly concerned about my phone and experience plus the price was on par or better than other repair shops. I bought a cool case while I was there so hopefully next time I’m clumsy I will have better luck.

AVOID this place. The people are very nice, but here’s why not to go:
1. When I returned to pick up my phone from a screen replacement, they had put the case back on. Removing the case revealed that whoever disassembled the phone clearly had no idea what they were doing because they scuffed and chewed up the outer bezel. Sneaky sneaky trying to cover that up. They offered to fix that for free, but I’d have to leave phone again, and how can you trust someone at that point.
2. I could visually see a quality difference between the original screen and this replacement. Not good.
3. About 3 – 4 months later, the screen started getting lines in it, and getting a white frosty look to it. Again, they use low quality parts.
AVOID. I then brought my phone to Nova Fix on Chicago Ave, and they replaced the screen and the bezel in like an hour, and it looks excellent. Wish I would have gone to them in the first place.

Gadget Geeks is a Printer’s Row staple. The staff are very nice & extremely helpful. The prices are fair and they even offer a 10% discount for students. Anyone living in Columbia housing should know about this place! Forget taking your computer to Apple when it breaks, just bring it over to Gadget Geeks and they will take care of you. They also fix phone screens and sell accessories like cases and chargers. I was in a pinch when my Macbook charger ripped, and they had one in stock that they sold to me for super affordable! I love Gadget Geeks, it’s the only store where you’ll be greeted by friendly faces, get everything you need and not leave with no money in your bank account! 5 stars.
