History

Established in 2010.

Hamlett Computer Services was started by Joshua Hamlett in 2010 to earn money while in college. Services have been provided both in Winona Lake, IN and in Chicago, IL and the surrounding suburbs. In 2013, macs began to be serviced in addition to PC’s. In 2015, Hamlett Computer Services started offering service plans both to individuals and families, starting at $ 10 per month.

Business Owner

Joshua E. Hamlett is a technology professional who established Hamlett Computer Services in June 2010, the summer between his freshman and sophomore years at Grace College studying Biblical Studies and Pre-​Law. He became certified as a computer technician by CompTIA​in August 2010. He did a little bit of work for classmates, faculty, and staff back at college and for people at church.

After college, he was able to find some work with a contractor that large companies like Hewlett-​Packard and Dell outsourced their equipment installations and deployments to. Eventually, he had to rely on this business as his sole source of income. His experience includes Windows 7 deployment and support, HP printer installation and troubleshooting, laptop and desktop hardware repair, and Apple computer support.

Joshua’s vision is to see everyone use technology to increase their work efficiency, ability to learn and communicate with others.
