we went to their Old Town location and this was as close to 9th bar in dunedin as i could get. They poured a mean cup of cap! My first Cap was better then i ordered it the next day but they were still great! i noticed there are multiple locations in Chicago and hope it catches on here in Orlando. Super clean place, and friendly staff.

The coffee was burned and the place is not cozy at all. The girl who made my latte for me don’t seem friendly.

First stop on Chicago caffeine crawl. Some people apparently don’t like Intelligentsia. I guess because they have experienced snobbery, or maybe because they don’t like how big the company has gotten to be. Then there are people who have never heard of such a company, like a lady I know that lived in Chicago for a few years. And still others adore Intelligentsia. I personally like them quite well. The few times that I’ve been to an Intelli, I’ve never been snobbed, so I can’t complain about that. And I love them for what they’ve done in the coffee world. Ah, yes. And it seems like I always enjoy the coffee they make for me. Now for this particular experience. Intelligentsia seemed like an appropriate start for my Chicago coffee tour, since Chicago is where Intelligentsia originated. Also it was the most convenient place to obtain caffeine at the moment. I walked in and was greeted by the fresh vibe that is Intelligentsia. A jolly, bill-capped barista with a nice beard brewed me up an exprexxo.(There is no X in espresso but there are three Xs in exprexxo.) I sat down on a nearby construction avocado green chair and tried it out. It was the best espresso I’d had that day. Of course. What else would I expect out of these people? Never mind that it was the first espresso for the day too.

The coffee is great. They put the cutest little hearts in the cappuccinos. A little overpriced. The pastries are passable but nothing to write home about. Good wifi!

Inelligentsia Coffee is great but this location is incredibly average. It is inside of a grocery store and feels industrial, not authentic.

Stop by for a cup of coffee since I didn’t really want breakfast that day. The décor was so cute and everyone seemed so relaxed. I wish nyc was like that haha. Got my coffee, forgot the name, it was originated from Columbia. It was a bitter sweet type of coffee. Definitely made it on my top coffee list.

So I’m a fan of Intelligentsia mainly, because no one gets an absolutely balanced pour over better than them. Located between the PNC bank and Plum Market, there’s a parking garage just south of PNC bank, where you can get parking validation. Wahoo for free parking. Otherwise there are metered spots in front, and lots of random tow zones that you have to watch out for. Pricing here is pricy. A pour over is $ 5, as are most of their teas($ 4 – 5) per cup. You get plenty of coffee and tea. They have a DELICIOUS vanilla bean donut for about $ 2. OMG. This one melted in my mouth, and I still think about it. Plus free wifi, it’s attached to Plum Market, and relatively spacious/plentiful seating with tables throughout, indoor and out. Whenever I have out-of-towners, I will almost always take them to an Intelligentsia or a Metropolis café like Dollop if they can appreciate high quality coffee.

Stopped in earlier this week for the first time. Regular coffee was OK — not as good as I would expect for the $ 4 price tag. Space is cool — open and bright with tons of white décor and natural light. Would stop in again for a cappuccino or to spend some time working

Connected to Plum, this is in a great location near Division. Baristas are very sweet and make a killer latte. I liked this place so much I had to return during my vacation.

Very spacious, modern, stylistic décor. I ordered a vanilla iced coffee, which was average. House coffee was great though. In addition to the drinks, I got a chocolate croissant and an almond scone. They were really good. Food and drinks are a bit more pricy compared to those in Starbucks. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. I’ll come again for the nice atmosphere and décor if I happen to be in this area again.

This place is awesome. Super delicious coffee beverages. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ve had most drinks on their menu, they are delicious. Also, they’re willing to change the music to whatever you want if you ask politely.

Iintelli is obviously delicious but what puts this store over the top is the excellent customer service. The baristas are kind, helpful and friendly. I like doing homework here. Usually, I can find a place to sit. I also get a small discount for being a Moody Bible Institute student, so that’s a plus. Cool story: Once I had an intelligentsia gift card from another store. Unfortunately, at the time, this location could not accept the gift card(I don’t remember why) but they apologized and graciously awarded me a token for a free drink voucher. Be sure to tip this fine establishment.

great coffee in a light, comfortable space. Friendly baristas. I purchased a 12oz. bag of one of their roasts and it was excellent.

BLUF: Definitely a very pretentious feel to the place but amazing coffee. High end hipster coffee joint. Very modern atmosphere with a hoity-toity whole foods’ crowd. The baristas are all lumbersexuals/hipsters with beards and skinny jeans. They were very nice though so i am jerk for judging. I got the Ethiopian coffee and it was great. they pour you a cup and give you a side jar too for a little more. nice touch. you wait a little but cuz the coffee is worth it and fresh. the coffee was really really good. i personally like dive bars and interesting atmosphere. the atmosphere here was very pretentious and sterile in my opinion. Cant beat the coffee though which was why i was really there.

This is a place you come to when you have a leisurely day and plenty if time. It takes quite a bit if time to get your coffee. However, if you have time I strongly suggest coming here. As soon as you walk in you feel that you are in a artistry coffee shop. There are small tables but mostly large communal tables which I appreciate. There is also a wine and beer bar. They serve brewed coffee to taste too. I really love that they pride te selves on fair trade coffee. They have beans from different countries and each bag tells a story. In the end I had a soy chocolate ganache latte. They have it a beautiful design with the steamed soy milk. The latte was delicious. It tasted much more like hot chocolate than a mocha latte. Overall I like this place. I just won’t go when I’m in a hurry.

WiFi was quite non-intelligent…sia. It’s connected to a high-end grocery next door, so you can hop onto that WiFi, but it’ll drop you consistently too. There’s a point where Intelligentsia got too cool for itself. You can’t escape them if you’re in Chicago, which can be a good thing, but at this location it hurts them. Here, there’s no sense of the local-coffee roaster feel, which I will shamelessly admit, kinda makes a difference on a purely aesthetic level. It felt cold here, even though the temperature was just right. No soul, no character to it. The douchebag in me is on full throttle right now.

Before I flew from Houston, my coffee-savvy friends insisted me to try out Intelligentsia. Although I had a great coffee experience at Boston’s North End, I was still not a huge coffee fan. However, my prospective on coffee has definitely changed after my first trip to Intelligentsia. I was in Chicago for a business weekend retreat and had few afternoon hours of free time to kill. Curiosity encouraged to me take up my friends’ suggestion and motivated me to walk to Intelligentsia. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly barista. He was kind enough to explain to this coffee novice the difference among the espresso types. Eventually, I chose the espresso cappuccino. The cup of coffee was arrived with a cool milk froth design on top, but it is not nearly impressive as the coffee itself. There is only one word I can use to describe the coffee: remarkable. In fact, the coffee was so remarkable that I went there again for breakfast the next day, and I was happy that Intelligensia served a small pastry selection. I chose a small pastry piece and it was so good especially as a complement to my second cup of Intelligentsia espresso! The next day again, I finally have to leave Chicago on a noon flight, but I went to Intelligentsia for another breakfast before I head to O’Hare. I don’t know when I will be returning to Chicago, so I was taking as many opportunities as I can to experience Intelligentsia. Three days in Chicago, three trips to Intelligentsia. I was convinced why my friends were raving about this place, because after my first trip there, I was raving about it to my co-workers when I returned to the hotel. Not only was the coffee stellar, the price was also extremely affordable despite the coffee’s phenomenal quality. I never caught the name of the barista who has served me three times, but I would like to thank this friend for showing me the best coffee I have ever had.
