We offer high quality, express spa services at affordable rates in a laid-​back and fun French atmosphere.

Our mission is to provide fabulous skin care for everyone, especially with today’s time or budget constraints, eliminating the spa intimidation factor. While we take appointments, walk-​ins are always welcome and we can get you in and out for almost all services even on your lunch break.

Memberships are available enabling customers to try a range of services at up to 25% off.

You will also find a retail area that carries amazing skincare products typically found only in french pharmacies, in addition to our main spa skincare lines.

A Chicago native, Erin spent 3 years in Portland, OR where she worked under the tutelage of a French spa owner, and former cosmetics chemist at Dior. Now she aims to bring European sensibility (facials as maintenance, not indulgence) stateside. A product junkie, Stinson hands out samples so you can test before you buy.

This place was awesome! I brought my hairy ears in there one day, and I was extremely nervous and embarrassed about it. But Erin immediately made me feel comfortable. The process was quick, painless and cheap! Erin was so professional about it. It felt like was just getting a haircut or something. I actually felt so confident after getting waxed. Weird. And when it eventually grew back, it wasn’t nearly as think. I’m going back until it’s gone! LeRemede is my place!

I just got a first-​ever facial at Le Remede yesterday and really enjoyed it. Erin was so easy to talk to and made sure to explain everything she was doing as she went along, what products /​tools she was using, and what I could do at home to improve the condition of my skin. I also found the space to be very relaxing and casual at the same time. My face hasn’t looked this good in ages. Thank you, Erin!

Just had my first experience at Le Remede with Erin for a brow wax. I am very pleased. Ever since I moved to a new neighborhood last year I have been looking for a new aesthetician. (I previously went to the same woman for about 10 years!)
I have brows that grow every which way except the right way. I am a former uni-​brow child. They are dark and my skin is light so I cannot let them go too long but if I start messing with them myself, they will most likely disappear. I have gone to Benefit a couple times and a couple other spas but they did not seem to know how to customize. It seemed like they just did the same wax and shape on everyone.
Erin, however, spent more time and seemed to take more care on my brows. I like going to a salon or spa to get an expert work on me to help me look better. I am not an expert in this area so I look toward you to do your magic. My brows are getting back to where I sort of like them. I think Erin has the right knowledge to get them all the way there!
I also really like the skincare lines they carry (Avèné and Nuxe). Excited to go back!

I went for my first spray tan last Saturday. It was great! Erin was fantastic and she answered all of my crazy «first timer» questions very patiently. Not to mention, everyone at the event I went to that night kept telling me how fantastic I look! I will forever be a weekly customer.

I came with my sister, it was a bit of a Christmas for ourselves. Erica was my esthetician, and she was great. I got a salicylic peel/​facial and although the entire facial experience is out in the open it was never awkward with Erica. She kept me well informed about all the products and steered me in the right direction for skincare routine. Needless to say, my skin look great and glowing!
I also had the body wrap, it was different from other body wraps I had tried. I was a little skeptical because of that, but the end results were really good. My skin overall feels really soft.

I’ve been seeing Erin for about 9 months now and OMG has she transformed my skin. My friend and I joke that she has angel hands because she really does some magic.
I’m very particular about my brows as everyone should be, and Erin does a consistently great job.
I also went through a period of horrible breakouts after coming off of birth control. My skin was seriously a mess and after dong regular facials/​peels with Erin, my skin is the clearest it’s been in my entire life.
It’s also refreshing to go in for a service and not have a sales associate pressuring you to buy a bunch of products… I’ve never felt pressured here!
All in all an amazing place run by amazing people.

I’m fairly dedicated to my esthetician, who is a good friend of mine, and I really liked the woman who did my last bikini wax but I’m extremely impressed with the gals at LaRemede. I used their latest Gilt voucher and treated myself to a brazilian wax and a salicyclic peel. Both Erica and Erin are friendly, knowledgable, and professional. After my peel I even purchased a face wash based on their recommendation, which I don’t normally do on a whim like that. I really liked the shabby chic/​European/​minimalist style of the salon and will absolutely be back for their services.

I came here originally with a Gilt Voucher and kept coming back, despite the fact that I live all the way on the other side of the city in Andersonville. The salon itself is clean and beautiful. I’ve been to several (a lot) different salons in Chicago for a Brazilian and Erin is the only one that consistently does the most painless wax I’ve experienced. She’s also done a brow tint for me several times which can be scary, but she always does a perfect tint. I went to anothersalon once and left looking like Groucho Marx, so I won’t make that mistake again. The services here are consistently above par, so this morning when I thought to myself that I’m long overdue for a facial, I thought of La Remede, because of that consistency.

I am so happy that I found Le Remede! I had an appointment for a spray tan, which was cancelled at the last minute. While spray tans are not a necessity, I was dead set on getting one that day. Le Remede was able to accommodate me for a great price, and they’re close to home!
Erin was very professional and friendly and made me feel at ease, even though I was stripped down in front of her. I am very pleased with the results. Le Remede is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. I am looking forward to going back to try their other services in addition to another airbrush tan.

First off, prior to my experience here I was a hard wax virgin. Never again will I go back to the painful strips of yesteryear. Hard wax is close to painless and I had far less ingrowns in the days to follow! If you book your next appt before you leave, you can save a little $$ which is a huge bonus and makes it much easier to make this a regular thing. I also had the anti aging peel and felt like my dull winter skin was glowing for weeks. I go in tomorrow for a facial w steam and hope to get the same results– we shall see.
Love the no frills pricing and top notch french products they use.
I would have liked to be offered a drink considering I was there for 2 services– but not a deal breaker by any means.

I was at Le Remede on Saturday for my first-​ever spa experience and I came away feeling… well, good. But not great. I don’t know what exactly it was that I was expecting, but I was just a little disappointed, overall.
My roommate and I had purchased Gilt City vouchers and made appointments for early afternoon appointments. We both had facials, and then I had the body scrub, while she decided to go for the steam detox treatment.
Overall, I would say that I felt incredibly relaxed after the treatments… but that I don’t think it really did much for my skin. I examined my skin in the bathroom mirror right after she finished with my facial, and the crappy parts still looked pretty crappy. I would say the same about the body scrub: while it was really enjoyable, I’m not sure that it actually did much for my skin. Granted, I exfoliate pretty regularly — but one detail that really bothered me was that when I headed in for a shower that night, I discovered little body scrub granules clinging to my body everywhere, as well as a huge chunk of granules in my belly button. Ew!

I see all the reviews here and that is why I came here. I kinda expected a big deal and I was left with eehhh okay.
I like the business idea, and great addition for the neighborhood. However, nothing here wowed me that I would be back.
1) Not sure where my water or wine offering was at. I was pointed to the coat rack to hang my coat and told to wait.
2) A little awkward having my facial done in a chair w/passerby’s staring at me while I have a mask on. Awkward.
3) The product is okay. Everyone’s face reacts differently to products, the one I used on me was okay.
4) I had a body treatment done as well, seaweed body mask. the room that this service is done is, dark, cold and dirty. sorry yes a tad dirty. I know the space is in an old building, but if you ask me to strip down for a service, make the area less drafty please and clean. Dirty towels hanging out of the basket and other’s people trash laying around, not appealing :)

Le Remede is a beautiful new french boutique salon. Walking in you are greeted and offered an assortment of drinks including wine. Perfect for the ambiance! It’s a place you want to stay all day!
So far I have received a facial ($ 35) and underarm waxing ($ 10). I will be back for these again but also take advantage of the wraps and other waxing.
The certified aesthetician, Emily, and the owner were personable, helpful, and had a passion for what they are doing. Throughout both services I was explained what was going on. I received great tips on how to take care of my skin so I get the glow everyone woman wants! The French products they use are for sale but they don’t push it and offer you samples to try at home.
Go and go now. You will walk away feeling rejuvenated!
