I was referred to Neil for some casual and professional head shots by a close friend. She couldn’t have been more accurate in describing his talents and style. Neil has considerable patience for the vain and shy. Further, he was extremely creative in devising a number of poses that resulted in some terrific shots that I can use for a long time. He’s fun, funny, and reasonably priced.

I needed a new headshot for my website so was glad I met Neil at a networking event because the price was very reasonable. Now I have a professional picture which sets me apart from my competition! The experience at Neil’s studio was great. He told jokes to get the right smile. He suggested I bring in different shirts so I was able to choose from many different options. He gave me a cup of coffee. I was impressed with all his professional equipment and lighting.

Neil Stern recently shot my own headshots, and my husband’s too. We had our session at the same time, which was convenient and eased my own stress of being in front of the camera.
My nervousness was not new to Neil. Before the appointment, he gave us a written guide so that we wore flattering colors, and knew what to expect.
Before we got started, Neil made sure he knew what we would be using our photos for. This discussion gave him new ideas for backgrounds, poses, and lighting effects.
During the shoot, I was amazed at how much effort Neil spent getting the lighting right for each shot. Other photographers sort of set the lighting once, then begin. Neil tested, took a few shots, then varied the lighting to get different effects and outcomes. He was really working hard!
Even though he spent time setting up each shot, our appointment began and ended on time.
Our photos were available in just a couple of days on Neil’s website, in a password-​protected area. We like so many of the photos that we shared the site with our family so they can help us choose.
I am excited to have photos I am proud of, and I appreciate Neil Stern’s talent and client-​friendly approach, which made the process one to remember — in a good way!
