History

Established in 2010.

I started Organizing By Liz on the cusp of my wedding (some may argue that is not an ideal time to start a small business!) in the spring of 2010. My lifelong love of organizing by own spaces (and those of family and friends) made it clear this was a business opportunity I could not turn down. My business is based in Chicago, but I am glad for the opportunities I have to work with clients in the surrounding suburbs.

Liz grew up in Glenview, IL and currently lives in Chicago. She has been organizing as long as she can remember and truly enjoys the work she does. She laughs each time someone asks her «You like organizing other peoples’ closets?!?» She does indeed love organizing her own home as well as her clients’ homes.

A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Liz has the ability to empathize with her clients and make them feel at ease through the organizing process, which can sometimes be emotional or difficult. Liz prides herself on working with her clients to find long term systems & solutions for their clutter & disorganization issues.

When she is not organizing, Liz spends time nannying her nephew, running along the lake path with her husband, cooking, and entertaining family & friends in her home.
