The woman preparing orders wasn’t wearing a hairnet, when ask why she wasn’t she said because she had braids so she didn’t need one. What!!!

These people are so in a hurry, they don’t fully listen to what you have to say so they still end up getting your order wrong. How am I suppose to take my Autistic friend here if they won’t even give him what he wants. I blame the workers for their piss poor attitude and lack of professionalism. Dealt with two female workers and they had no sense of compassion. There was one gentleman that was extremely polite and willing to help. I also blame corporate/management for(I’m assuming) only allowing one register to be open. I didn’t even go through the drive through, and that’s usually where orders get messed up, not face to face.

This is my first time at this restaurant and their service was pretty good. Their chicken was very fresh, delicious, and crunchy in the right places. Their fries are so delicious and their biscuits are so good. I have no complaints and would recommend them to my family and friends.

Ok, things are back to normal! Just left the Lincoln Ave location at 9:50. The sign on the door says they close at 12 midnight. As we stepped to the counter to place our order after being ignored, we watched as the lady behind the counter boxed and bagged up an order of an elderly couple patiently waiting. Bothered too much to let them know their order was ready she left on the counter. So we place our order only to be told they aren’t cooking any more chicken. Again I remind you, it’s 9:50 and they close at midnight. As we attempt to jar her memory and let her know they close at midnight she informs us she’s the only one there. I guess the 3 individuals behind the chicken racks straightening up are invisible to her. Anyway, I’m over at the location on Broadway. I just don’t understand why people come to work if they don’t want to perform their job.

This is the Popeyes we always go to. The day managers are really nice. When you walk in the door you are greeted like you’re a long lost friend! The one time they made a mistake on a take out order and I called they apologized and wanted to take care of the problem immediately. They run this location like every take out should operate. Extremely customer friendly!

The most ridiculously slowest«fast food» joint I have ever encountered. I love fried chicken and I love Popeye’s…but the service and wait is unbearable. Waiting to get some chicken with two kids is not a fun experience. Management needs to put these employees thru an updated training course to make service more efficient. If you want to raise your blood pressure and take your anger out on random people, this is the place to go.

TERRIBLETERRIBLETERRIBLE! I use to go here with my hubby and the customer service was BAD. Chicken was soggy and so salty that we had to throw away. Seems like they don’t care at all. and the last time we went there were a guy HEWASSUPERRUDE. My husband was ordering a food and he was screaming at him with that RUDEANDNASTYTONE. DUDEYOURNASTY. Don’t scream at my husband. Cashier was also rude no smile looks like she don’t want to work! THISPLACEGETBIGTHUMBSDOWNFROMMEANDALLTHEPPL I KNOWWONTBEBACKNEVER!

This place is the worst. My complaints are about this particular popeyes and not the chain in general. I don’t cook, so I eat out a lot. I like popeye’s shrimp and usually get that. But this time I went because I wanted the wicked chicken(i like it!). My boyfriend and i went to this one on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a line of 4 people that somehow took 10 minutes to get through. The manager was busy on the phone with his friends and barking at the next person in line to give him the order they were going to put through. The female cashier was rude and screwed up my order(i wanted the mashed potatos, dammit!). Everyone(except the person who i assume to be the cook, who handed us our order) was rude. The chicken was ok, I’m going to try another popeyes before i decide. I can’t believe anyone would come here more than once. Granted there aren’t a lot of other fried chicken options around here, but i would rather drive a little extra to satisfy my chicken fix. C

I can’t help but wonder if the owner or manager here even care about this location. The people that work here are horribly RUDE and incompetent. 9 times out of 10, they will get your order wrong, and then they will get mad at YOU, saying that was what you ordered. The food is good, when they don’t over fry it. Come on guys. Get it together.

I’ve been here a handful of times in the several years I’ve lived here; each time, hoping it’s improved. I’ve been consistently let down. The employees seemingly have no clue as to what is going on. They yell and bicker, and talk about personal things, get orders wrong, and are just plain rude. There is always a long wait… even if you’re the only customer. It’s almost as if the employees are surprised that people show up expecting to get food. My issues aren’t with the food so much as the service. They leave a great deal to be desired. You know it’s bad when even fried food goodness can’t save a place.

I’m pretty sure the owner of this particular franchise doesn’t care what’s going on… the employees are just way too obnoxious & inefficient. The food is fine, but the team isn’t.

I used to go here so much, if I walked in theyd already know to get me a 2 piece spicy breast and wing with mashed potatoes on the spot. NEVER have I ever had a ruined order here ever. Service is quick, efficient, and funny lol/I usually make chit chat with whoevers working while waiting for the food. Food is always hot and fresh, NEVER had an issue with their chicken(perhaps being too tasty?) Heres to the unsung heroes at my local Popeyes. =)

Excuse me, MIss Thang? Where do you get off thinking you can yell at my mother? For asking for a mere cup? No, no honey. Please. I believe you called her ‘disrespectful’ for ‘barging’ in front of customers. Ummmmmmm. What? My mother is 5’1″. Who the eff is she gonna ‘barge’ in front of? And, besides, it takes approximately 2 seconds to hand someone a cup. LESS than the time it took for this b*tch to rant about my mom. Hand over the cup and shut the eff up. Nice customer service, ya’ll. Yelling at a customer in front of other customers? For absolutely NO good reason? Classy. So, please, step down from your little power trip and face reality. Last time I checked — this was a ghetto ass Popeye’s. Zagat rated? I think not. Get over yourselves Thanks. Disclaimer: *ahem* Because this review can be misconstrued as ‘having a racist tone’, please note that I am in no way racist. I embrace all. In fact, those who actually KNOW me can vouch for me. So, if you wanna call me out, don’t call me out through a private message. Thanks.

I have lived near Popeye’s for many years and for some reason have never been eager to try it… well until last night. Based on the reviews I may have had higher expectations than I should have for a fast food fried chicken place. The chicken was good, but nothing great. The wings were gone when I arrived so I had a spicy 10 piece meal with 1 breast, some theighs and lots of legs. Of course the breast was the best tasting of the chicken selection. The gravy and mashed potatoes was good as were the biscuits. Unfortunately the corn was way overcooked. Overall, i might go back but was not really impressed. Oddly enough the best fried chicken I have had comes from the Jewel in Evanston– its cheaper too.

Spicy chicken available! Speak loud and speak clear. Be friendly and you may enjoy a better experience. If you can get everyone in the store to smile, usually, they’ll hook you up with all breasts and thighs. Usually biscuits are served up fresh, or just make sure to ask for fresh ones, yum!
