Established in 2013.

We could have spent time spinning a message via marketing jargon but sometimes the raw truth is better than fluff… so here it is… we are just like you, we understand what you are going through, and we know what you need to stay well and keep going.

Reflexion Spa was founded by two world traveled professionals, coupling our various experiences of what works and what doesn’t with a practical approach to service, and concentration on core competencies. We don’t try to be everything to everyone BUT what we do offer is completely unparalleled. As busy corporate professionals, we have seen it all and know what people go through every single day. With that in mind, we recognized a distinct gap in the market, never quite finding the right combination of services at the right value with any consistency, so we set out to change it, building an offering that delivers value and relief from the stresses of daily life from the moment you walk in the door until your next visit with Reflexion.

Business Owner

Jade is a partner and operations manager, bringing both business acumen as a chartered accountant and years of professional therapeutic experience in various techniques, combined with a keen understanding of what it takes to provide stellar customer service. These collate in a leadership style that assures each and every client has a consistently terrific experience.



Tzu-​Wen is board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (Dipl. O.M.) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He earned his Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at University of East-​West Medicine in Sunnyvale, CA. He is state-​licensed for Acupuncture and Massage in both Illinois and California. Tzu-​Wen uses a variety of Chinese medical modalities that include Acupuncture, Chinese Bodywork (TuiNa, Acupressure), and Herbal Formulas and to help patients manage issues, heal faster, and generally better.

Wish I could give 4.5 stars. Vicki just kicked my butt during my Swedish massage and in a very GOOD way. She know what she is doing and understands the body! She found all my knots and worked them out with full intention of making me feel great! She even straddled me at one point to get enough leverage and strength to get at the problem spots. Amazing!
Why 4/4.5 stars? This is a no frills place. No robe change, no cup of tea prior, no foot bath etc. They have plenty of water bottles and yummy gummy candies to replenish before and after you massage. They were running late and were very apologetic. You don’t get plush slippers– you get sandals that are community. Keep your socks on! Also be pretty comfortable being naked– you may find yourself completely bare a few times on the table. I’m fine with it– but heads up. Also they charge a $ 3 credit card processing fee. Meh.
The price is a fabulous value and they have specials so some minor things being ok we’re fine with me. I already know I’m going to be a regular!

First, let me say this is the only Unilocal review I’ve ever written… As an athlete and someone who works 70+ hours a week, massages are few and far between. High stress and tension creates for many trigger points and stiffness. Due to my lack of time, on those rare occasions when I can get a massage, I have high expectations.
Today, I had an appointment with Jenny. I came in with no expectations, good or bad. She was… AMAZING. I have never had a masseuse who understood anatomy like this woman, and I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone who is looking for relief. I feel like a new man.
As a result of this appointment, I will not waste time with other spas or massage artists as long as Jenny is in business. You will not be disappointed. Jenny used the full time allotted and made every minute count. I will be a lifetime customer. 5⁄5 stars.

Have had several massages around the city including the peninsula and can honestly say vickie (sp?) is the BEST masseuse/​therapist I’ve had. Got the pressure exactly how I wanted/​needed and hit my tight areas as well. Service is very detailed including the slippers, great ambiance and pre and post hydration. I would go 90 min to get the full treatment. I’m doing the cupping next!

I’ve been here a few times now and the massages are great, depending on who you get. I really like Jenny & Lily. Maria, not so much.
If you have a specific problem area, they are very good at working on it. As a singer, I was having some neck tension which was affecting my voice and Jenny did an amazing job on it.
Same with my calves and thighs that had become very tight from long periods of sitting. I was really sore the next day, but great, two days later.
It’s best to book your appointment on line. You can also select WHO you want online as well. They’re also as accommodating as possible in changing appointments if you give them enough time.
Tuesday & Saturday are discount days, but don’t always fit into my schedule.
Highly recommended.

I love this place. I like my massage so hard I get bruises and sore the next day. This is one of two places that give me enough pressure to be satisfied. I had Jenny today and she is fantastic at finding my knots and working on them. I’ve had three different women here. all fantastic. $ 50 for 30 min.

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE — the best in Chicago at an excellent price. Tzu Wen combines Gua Sha and Acupressure after Acupuncture. To avoid bruises, take Arnica before treatment. The first treatment raised my sinking undereye immediately. The super thin needles are inserted deeper than the shallow application. In a series of treatments, needles are applied in different points.
SHAOLIN — the petite therapist gives the most effective 15 minute neck and shoulder massage.
TJ – my new monthly hobby. Excellent Ashiatsu technique that truly relaxes my body and removed the kinks out. Superb neck, shoulder and hand massage. Plenty of addressed new points.

I highly recommend this place. I’ve been coming here frequently for almost a year now for deep tissue massages. I’ve had massages with Jade, Tlawil, Jenny, Ivy and most recently Lily. They are all great. Be sure to tell them the areas you want to focus on and you will leave a very relaxed person. Often times the deep tissue massage here comes with a back walk, hot stones and lots of hot towels at the end. All for a special $ 55 for 1 hour on Tuesdays and Saturdays for ladies. My fiancée is also a regular. They have specials for couples, too. Definitely worth a try for those who are looking for a relaxing time as well real deep tissue massages.

I love this place! I do acupuncture and I recommend! I’ve been doing it for a month and I feel a lot of difference! I used to take sleep pills and headache medicines, I suffered with anxiety problems, when I started doing I quit all medication and I feel much better, Tzu Wen always listen to my healthy concerns and do his best. The quality of my sleep has improved and I’m almost headache free!!! I feel lighter and relaxed after the sessions!

Ooh my gosh, I’ve had my fair share of massages, from all types of places, and these are some of the best. I came here on a lark, because they did a couples massage for a reasonable price. My husband and I were skeptical walking in. The setting was relaxing, and the therapists were nice. We both left floating on air. We’ve been back twice more for couples massages, and we’ve each come alone a few times for massages as well. He’s not even a «massage person», it’s just THAT good.
I’ve had the acupuncture: good but not great. I ask for Tinna for massages, and I’m never disappointed. That tiny woman will WORK, hopping up on the table, kneeling on you, walking on you. It’s amazing. I will try cupping next time. Cause I will totally keep coming back.

First of all, don’t go here. This is one of my few one star reviews. Fellow Unilocalers, keep on looking, there is something fishy about how they have 5 stars.
I have had low back pain for some time and have gone to several different massage parlors in Chicago. When getting a massage I believe 3 things are necessary: Quality of massage, service, clean facilities.
Quality of Massage: I think its important that before you begin a massage they ask why you are there. Tlawil just started working on me without explaining what they do there or without any concern to why I was there. I left feeling worse off than when I arrived (and I like hard pressure).
Service: For starters, they booked 2 appointments at the same time so they asked me to come back in an hour, very unprofessional. Then, and this is really what gets me upset, when I’m paying, Tlawil looks upset that I’m paying with credit card. I leave $ 10 for a tip (in cash) on my $ 73, 60 minute massage that was poor quality. She says «just so you know, its customary for $ 10 tip for every 30 minutes». First of all, no its not, people don’t tip 30%. Second of all, it was such a rude thing to say for a first time customer. There was no thank you for coming, just rudeness after i’m literally handing her extra money for a less than mediocre massage.

Ivory was very nice and a good massage therapist.
Booking: Though I booked online through Unilocal,it didn’t go through; so if you do book, make sure it gets confirmed or just call. Ivory was very understanding when I came in, but the woman at the front (owner maybe) was not and made that clear right when I got out of my massage which was pretty disorienting after getting a massage. They could have turned me away if it was a problem and I said that in the beginning. I know I attempted the booking because I requested a different massage therapist based on Unilocal reviews and it is in military time so it’s hard to forget appointments made for 14:00 cranial/​neck and 14:30 deep tissue massage. I told the woman this so that she would know I wasn’t inventing that I booked. I live pretty far so would not make the trip otherwise.
The neck was done a little and the head wasn’t done at all. They don’t do any kind of intake and I have a severe foot and back injury so I think this is important. As a massage therapist for 10 years, I should also mention that the spine shouldn’t be pressed directly.
They really take their time and do extras like wiping with warm wet towels and using hot rocks which is a nice touch. They do walk on your back with the aid of bars above for initial compression. They should do a better intake and tell you their name.
It’s different than other massage you will get and they definitely spend a lot of time on the back and shoulders which is nice.
Bring cash because otherwise they charge you an extra $ 5. To tip, it starts at 25% and up or you can customize. Tuesdays are special reduced ladies price so I would have tipped more anyway so it worked out, but otherwise 15%, 18%, or 20% is typical so their rate is set high. All told it was $ 91.25 even with the ladies day price because of the additional tip for a 60 – 75 minute massage that did not actually include 15 minutes specifically devoted to cranial/​neck massage.

This place is EVERYTHING! I was in search of a spa when I needed an «emergency» massage on my left shoulder and neck. I found this place on Unilocal around 630 pm and was in for a massage at 8pm. they scored major points being less than a mile from my place (walking distance).
Tina was my masseuse and did an AMAZING job! I opted for the 30 mins for $ 35 and was very pleased. She recommended I take advantage of their special 1 hour full body for $ 55 on either Tuesday’s or Saturdays because I was tight down to my foot and I easily agreed. It was a Thursday and I scheduled an apt for the following Tuesday before I left my first appt.
Welp, today is Tuesday and I am literally writing this review on my way home from my full body and MY GAWD! what a bargain! My massage was TOP NOTCH and easily worth double what I paid. I seriously think I’ll come here once a month. lol Tina worked my muscles so well my feet have that tingle sensation after you drain lactic acid from your muscles (my fellow athletes know what I’m talking about). This place is truly 5 stars and highly recommended!

Friendly, clean, and solid. Jenny and Tinna were both terrific. Jenny walked on my back to warm it up, followed by her terrific handwork. She got the knots out of my shoulders, neck, and back. Very detailed — even worked out knots on my feet. She worked like a detective!
Tinna took note of my wife’s knotted shoulders and used hot stones to loosen them up. Her shoulders are feeling better and would’ve loved a little more of that face and head message.
The spa offers showers before and/​or after the massage. Great way to get relax from a long day or to freshen up before hitting up Clark street.

Someone in another post stated that they were apprehensive about leaving a review because they want to keep this place a secret, i feel the exact same way!
Came here for a couples massage with my wife, they give a phenomenal massage, hot stones, walk on your back, shower, and a bunch of other stuff.
I’m a novice and not into super deep massages but my wife is and both our massages were just right. Super professional and mindful.
I would also suggest adding on the foot/​hand scrub massage, definitely worth the additional cost.
They also have deals for couples on Saturdays as well as other deals.
Needless to say my wife and I will be coming back and make this a monthly tradition!

I’m almost giddy with how much I enjoyed my massage here. I purchased a 90 minute session, and having seen the pics on Unilocal of them walking on your back, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to handle that. But I had been working out and needing some treatment bad and the reviews convinced me.
What I got was a fantastic 90 minutes of bliss. She alternated pressures from deeply therapeutic to soothing throughout for a nicely balanced experience. One of the most enjoyable massages I’ve ever had. I’m almost looking for reasons to strain my back so I can go back sooner.
Also the place is super clean and well maintained, with an upscale, modern vibe. The atmosphere was pleasent in the room with music playing a wide range of meditative music to down-​tempo lounge. I appreciated the shower and robe that was available afterward. Very nice all around experience.
