Gotta love coming home from the eye doctor with 432 refrigerated falafel balls, 10 lbs of jelly bellies and more bananas than you and yours can possibly eat before they go black and shrink into themselves like a mummy.
So yeah, the eye doctor at Costco. Quite a concept I must say. Dr. Schultz and his associates are not affiliated with Costco, they just happen to have an exam room inside the Costco next to where you get glasses and order lenses. They do have the benefit of being able to provide incredible prices on supplies and save the average joe on exam costs. At $ 49.00 even for an eye exam I was ready to give it a shot. I bet you’re thinking «Great, but if this guy got his degree from a cereal box I’ll gladly pay more than twice the price for a good exam and consultation.» But that is not the case with Dr. Ryan and to be honest, it’s the most thorough exam I have probably ever gotten. He was really honest and easy going and talking to him about contacts and my low prescription astigmatism didn’t feel awkward or rushed, it was almost like talking to a friend about it. He told me roughly what it would cost for a year supply of lenses, plus the appointment and then what the average person might spend in supplies per year. I am chewing it over but I think I might go for it. Thanks, Doc!
