I recommend that you DONOTDONATE furniture to the Salvation Army. The Chicago location(60657) will not take a couch or upholstered chairs if you own pets. I vaccuumed and cleaned mine and the pick up guy insisted that it is impossible to remove pet hair therefore they WILLNOTTAKE any furnture unless it’s all wood. Big waste of time, there are many other organizations that are more appreciative.

This is an out of the way neighborhoody store located in a strip mall. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS for the quality. All of their vintage clothing is grouped together and for some reason they think it is all made out of gold since it is from the 50’s or 60’s. Some of the vintage dresses were marked anywhere from $ 15-$ 40. WHAT? A complete joke of a coat selection, apparently leather cost about $ 50/yard? Really? Really. The rest of their items are raggedy. And by raggedy I mean that I have seen better clothing in my garbage can. I know all of the items are donated but Salvation Army’s have distribution and get their merchandise not just from local donations. I would be curious to know where the good stuff they get goes… because it is definitely NOT on the sales floor.
