first of all i am bald, and i have a «dent» like scar on the center of my head, everyone can see.
i am not self conscious about it. i have had it for years.
i went to michelle who is called the «injection specialist» to have a juvederm treatment for my scar. juvederm plumps up my skin and the dented scar vanishes.
i came to the office then was sent to wait in a back room. i stayed there 30 minutes until i opened the door for them to say oh i forgot about you.
michelle came in and i told her i have a scar that i get treatments for with juvederm to eliminate appearance. what happened next was amazing. she started talking to me like i was imagining i had a scar or that i was just self conscious and i should get over it.
i was like what? i know i have a scar i am not self conscious about it i know it exists. it goes away with treatment, i’m fine.
i’m like wait you’re a «specialist» and you can’t see this indentation down the center of my head? (i said that internally) she is like you look good you shouldn’t worry about it, like i was «worried» or self conscious about my appearance. uhh i know what it looks like i don’t feel bad about i just need the filler like i have been getting for years now and i’m off.
she went on saying there are other treatments for this like lasers… i was like wait i have had this for years i don’t care to get any treatment for it other then my filler. it’s going to be like this forever and filler is the only thing that can make it look better and i’m, ok with it.
i told you from the beginning what i wanted, i am familiar with my condition as a matter of fact
you have seen me before and gave me juvederm injections.
i couldn’t believe it, she was talking to me like i was this tragic person in denial about a figment of my imagination. are you serious? you are a grown adult i just spoke to you simply and clearly, a child could understand, and you were talking to me condescendingly and undermining. ha ha.
whoever called michelle whitehall an «injection specialist» was not qualified to give her that distinction. it seams to me like she is a person who a few years ago was looking for a job and said oh, botox injections, i can do that. went and got a few lessons and this dr dayan wanted a girl to attract more customers and hired her. and because she is a girl and this is chicago they immediately over rated her to specialist just because she can walk and chew gum at the same time. (personally i don’t think she can do it)
she is as much a specialist in medical procedures or determining a patients condition in as much as i am a specialist in building a rocketship just because i seen star wars. but yes the force is with me and i can build a rocketship.
what a waste of time.
i know people will go there in spite of this review. she will probably make more undeserved money and get more undeserved accolades, i don’t care. i know what she really is because i was there and that’s all that matters.
one star only because Unilocal doesn’t have zero stars.

Made the mistake of participating in a research study run by Dr. DAYAN… Was promised that the study results would be given to me. If I received the placebo… I would be given the actual drug at close of study. Not only did I NOT receive any feedback… I remain UNPAID from my final visit.
Was told my payment visit would be paid. It’s now nearly three months later and No payment.
So much for integrity. Beware.

I had a fabulous facial with Joanie, she did a wonderful job and was one of the best Estheticians I have worked with. I really like Dr. Dayan’s office because of the atmosphere and the wonderful staff, not to mentioned the great services offered. I strongly recommend Dr. Dayan’s office for any non-​invasive aesthetic treatments and will certainly be back. This office also carries Environ Skin Care which is my favorite line and is very hard to find in Chicago.

I have tried other similar places and have not found the professionalism and expertise as I have found with Selika Borst RN. She educates you on what is needed or not needed. I highly recommend her! Thank you Selika!

I see Maggie for my Botox injections. I have been a few places and never have been as satisfied with the results as when Maggie does it. She knows how to achieve the perfect eyebrow arch. I am so happy with the results and would refer anyone to her!

In 2010, Dr. Dayan fixed my nose. My septum was deviated and overall my nose looked like that of a hawk. 5 years later, I still can’t get over how good of a job he did. My nose looks wonderful, and it honestly improved my confidence 7000%

Everyone at the practice is extremely helpful and friendly. Selika did my procedure. She is a true artist and professional! She listened to all my concerns. It was a great success! Her assistant, Daniella was equally as friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this practice!

I lived in Chicago for 15 years and moved back to the east coast 2 years ago. I can’t tell you how much I miss this doctor and his team.
I saw Dr Dayan for more than 10 years and found him to have a creative eye as an artist would have, when looking at procedures that would truly benefit his patient. He is caring, sensitive and very aware of his patients comfort. I had a major cosmetic procedure by the doctor that gave me great results and a new sense of confidence.
I also went here for filler and Botox and I consider Michelle Whitehall, the very best in technique and facial sculpting. She is kind, patient and amazing at what she does. I’ve traveled back to Chicago twice to see her because I haven’t found anyone who I trust as much. I had a very bad experience in NY so you can understand why I feel this way. I’d be there in a heartbeat if they’d just open another office in NY. :) Actually, I’m planning another a trip back to Chicago and will be making my appointment very soon. They are the VERY BEST in the field!!!

I’ve been getting injections at Dr. Dayans office for about 5 years. I haven’t always been consistent but having turned 37 recently I decided last year to be better about my upkeep. I’m a licensed Esthetician and am aware of how skin ages (it just does). I’ve been consistent the past year and absolutely love my results. I’m lucky, I have a combination of great genes and knowledge of skin care/​maintenance so I do look younger than my age. I actually don’t get Botox to look youthful, along with my blessings, I’ve been cursed with a brow furrow which makes me look perpetually angry. 5 years ago when I got my first injection, Michelle did my injections. She is incredibly sweet and has great bedside manner. She is also very skilled at her work. She even did a friends lip injections and they looked completely natural and gorgeous. After bouncing between Dysport and Botox I convinced myself that neither lasted long enough for me (I suggest trying both to see which works best for you) one of the nurses explained it’s like Coke or Pepsi, everyone has their own opinion. I prefer Dysport. I would begin to see movement within 1 – 2 months and so I just stopped and lived with my arch enemy «the furrow». After doing some research I came to learn that if you are consistent with treatments, the effects will last longer because the muscles will begin to atrophy or just get lazy. A friend notified me of a sunscreen/​Botox study which was offered at a discounted price so I applied and was accepted to the study. This was the first time I met Selika at Dr. Dayans office and let me tell you she is my girl! I told her it had been several years since I had been in and explained it was because the results tend to not last. We both agreed that I need to me more consistent. Now that I have been consistent every 4 months (for 12 months now), I have noticed that the results are longer lasting and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend both Michelle and Selika. Since I’ve been consistent and stayed with Selika, we have finally found the «Goldilocks» treatment for me. Dr. Dayans office always schedules a 2 week follow up which includes touch ups. I used to require maybe 4 more injections but these follow up injections have decreased over the past year since Selika knows the muscles in my face now.
It needs to be noted that everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and professional. I love coming in and chatting with everyone. It’s obvious that employees here are treated well and have been trained by the absolute best.

I have been seeing Dr. Dayan for several years and drive close to two hours (each way) because he is that good! I initially went for Botox and filler but had always wanted to have my upper/​lower eyes done. After many years of thinking about it, I finally did it and could not be happier. Dr. Dayan is a perfectionist and made me feel at ease about my procedure and his staff is equally amazing and have treated me more like a friend than a patient. After my procedure the healing process took a bit longer than expected and I was very concerned. Dr. Dayan and his team let me express those feelings without feeling guilty and let me know they would be with me every step of the way until I was feeling confident in my procedure. Admittedly I am extremely impatient and was expecting to look perfect right away, it’s major surgery… healing will take a while, lesson learned. Although it took a while, my eyes went from looking tired and worn to bright and fresh. Dr. D also did the fractional CO2 Laser on my face and that made a huge difference in my skin right away… baby smooth, fine lines lessened, and glowing skin. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Dayan and his staff I really love them like family and always look forward to my visits.

I was super unhappy with my results from my rhinoplasty in 2008 with Dr. Dayan. I was left not breathing well, had several bumps on my nasal bridge, and left more self conscious than before. I don’t feel like my concerns were heard after the surgery and I felt very brushed to the side. 6 years later I decided to undergo corrective surgery and the doctor couldn’t believe I had my nose done before because the results from Dr. Dayan were so awful. I am much happier now with my second surgery, however I wish I wouldn’t have had to go through it twice. I would not recommend Dr. Dayan.

I had rhinoplasty with Dr. Dayan back in ’08. My nose turned out bigger/​longer than it originally was, not as up turned as I would have liked as well my nose now curves more to one side than the other. A friend of mine had her rhinoplasty done with Dr. Dayan previously which is why I decided to have mine done by him as well. When later swapping stories with her I recalled that possibly she had received better pre-​op care than I did. I don’t believe I had X-​rays done like she did (I could be wrong but I don’t recall, I just remember pictures being taken at the consultation) as well as I was not guide marked for surgery beforehand (you know, using the surgical skin marking pen, unless they did that once I was out and under anesthesia?) I had trouble coming out of anesthesia as well it took longer than expected because from what I was told I was «waking up mid-​surgery» so they put me under again the nurses at the operating room were great though no complaints there. I was able to hear them trying to wake me post-​op but I was groggy (like when ur really sleepy and you wanna stay awake but can’t) when I finally did come out of the anesthesia which as I stated earlier took longer than expected Dr. Dayan had already left. At the post-​op appointment I had the nose stent and the non-​dissolvable stitches removed my nose looked well, swollen but that’s obvious as u can’t see the final results until 6 – 12 months post op after all signs of swelling go down. I voiced that I was self conscious about the deep acne scarring on my face… Now, being older and possibly a bit wiser than I was back then. Considering how I now feel like I was mistreated during my rhinoplasty as if I was just another number. Thinking back I wonder why I decided to have another procedure with him after this. I also had A Fraxel treatment done by Dr. Dayan in late ’08 to try and smooth my old acne scars on my cheeks. He said he could do one «more intense» treatment as apposed to a series of treatments and get the same result and that my skin would be smoothed out. Well, you guessed it I did it. Pre-​op was okay They applied a numbing cream I sat for an hour… maybe 90mins… or so with that on and took the prescribed med to «relax» me. When the procedure started it was very painful but I just kept thinking (beauty is pain, beauty is pain) at one point I believe I actually passed out from the pain because I don’t remember anything else except him saying that he had finished. When I asked the assistant if she recalls me passing out she said «no» and that I must have been just so calmed down from the medication I was given that it just felt like I was out. When I left, let me just say that I am not exaggerating at all even my mom remembers this cause she was in the waiting room as she was my ride home. I looked like a victim out of a horror movie my face was covered in blood from the laser treatment. It was just stated as being «normal for post procedure» and I was sent home. I wasn’t allowed to wash my face for I believe it was 8 hours just sit around with Vaseline and blood on my face for 8hours, what a treat. After I washed my face it was no longer bloody just really, really, really red and remained as such for a number of weeks and faded over time. When I went in for my post procedure check up after the Fraxel I told Dr. Dayan that I saw little to no difference at all in the scarring he got very angry and blamed me saying «well did you lose weight? Cause that can happen if you lose weight» ummmm, what? And I had actually GAINED weight which I stated to him at the time he then suggested that in order for me to achieve the result I want I may have to have dermal fillers injected into my acne scars to smooth them out provided me with a price list for him and then said if I wanted lower costs I can have it done by his physicians assistant Michelle. Did I want to? Yes. Did I? Hell, no! So I’m stuck now, I guess. With a nose I can’t stand even more than my «original» nose and still, have those scars all over the sides of my face. Punishment for trying to perfect my self appearance.

I had a rhinoplasty with him. My nose looks larger. I asked him to fix it. It looks the same. Don’t waste your money.

Dr. Steven Dayan is one of the best Plastic surgeon in Chicago I’ve worked with him for over 10 years and I’ve seen before and after results. He is very passionate in everything he does and a perfectionist. I would highly recommend Dr. Dayan to all my friends/​family. He is the best.

I had my first treatment with requesting Michelle but she was unavailable. I felt like the consultation and appointment was uncomfortable for me. I had my first treatment and had a large bump from the injections. I have found that can happen but was disappointed. I scheduled another appointment 9 months later and was notified 1 hr before that they needed to cancel. I have a 4.5 and a 1.5yr old and had paid for a nanny and parking already! I don’t know their cancellation policy and was a bit frustrated with theirs. No follow up call. No apology. I think they don’t really get customer service nor care. I want more from a place. I want to feel comfortable and like I can depend on them but get the feeling they are to make a lot of money… and maybe yours but not mine! Cheers!

I have regular photofacials and restalyene injections in my mid-​face there. I have also had botox there.
I recommend thier photofacials they are a great price on par with the market BUT their botox is WAY over priced ($ 500 – 600 for forehead). I don’t like their botox technique either, they do the botox around the corners of the eye included with the forehead and it made my eyes feel droopy and doesn’t lift my forehead. On the plus side they do NOT water down their botox it is the real deal.
They are a very clean professional facility in the Macy’s Watertower office portion and very fancy and nice. I feel like the treatments there are safe and clean.

I see Kaitlin for laser hair removal, and she is very thorough and incredibly sweet. I started my treatments last year, but I still need to go for touch-​ups as I have fair hair that doesn’t respond as well to the laser. I highly recommend her!

I went to Dr. Dayan for rhinoplasty, he gave me the old car salesman pitch but he seemed so genuine and honest that I fell for it. I was very sick when I woke up from surgery and I CANNOT BREATHE out of my nose. This was my number one concern that I voiced over and over again. The surgicenter he uses is EXTREMELY UNETHICAL. Once he received the money and finished with the procedure he seemed to care very little about my concerns and every time he told me to just wait a little longer. Beware of doctors that tell you what you want to hear!

Amazing location! The staff is super friendly and personable. I’ve gone there about three times and have always gotten amazing results from lactic peel, oxygyen peel, a sample of their new hair removal technology. I look forward to their monthly specials, they can be a bit addicting.
